WITHOUT DOUBT your best video so far as far as composition and editing goes mate. What a noticeable difference! You can really tell the effort you’re putting in mate. The short snippets of you talking in the intro, the music, the walk troughs…. Yes mate, defo the best one yet 🤝
Steve, thanks very much. I think if I can't catch fish I'd better make the videos entertaining 😂😂😂. Seriously though, I'm really enjoying creating the videos and sharing them. Your comments make all the editing time worthwhile . Well done on your prize give aways - some lucky subscribers will be getting some good gear to try out. Phil.
Thanks, you'll be seeing the venue again - unfinished business. I doubt it will fish like the 'big' lochs but I'm prepared to put more time in at that location.
Sound was great buddy, enjoyed the video as always Phil. Stunning wild venue, such a shame the fish didn’t get the memo certainly looks fishy. Maybe next time mate. Looks good for an overnight job if they allowed that.
Thanks mate, I'm going to try dead roach as a bait next time. Another thought was taking the lures and having a cast around. I'd need to ask the Laird about overnighters. Phil
Hi Phil, as many have said this is one of the best videos you've made. You bring the excitement of fishing and the beauty of nature to our homes when we can't get out ourselves. Many thanks! Paz👍
Thank you very very much Paz, it's a pleasure to share the adventures. Thanks for taking the time to comment and letting me know you're appreciating my efforts at making fishing videos. Now where's that Pike.... Phil.
Hi phil, what a great time out ! Nothing like fishing in solitude, enjoying nature and waiting for that run! better luck next on your next session. Tight lines buddy.
The sound is brilliant, The video was brilliant, you getting pretty good at this ow filming lark lol, shame you didn't catch but it didn't affect the quality of your video, very good, Thank you,
Fit a bonnie peaceful place tae be Phil, fash or nae fash that place is gweed for the soul. I have never try’d any fresh water fishing in my life but will be giving it a go someday even though I would be like a fish oot o water, my wife bocht a fly fishing rod kit from Aldi a couple years ago and its hanging up in ma sheddy as its alien to me and am nae sure if an old dog like me can be taught new tricks lol Brilliant video again pal, looking forret tae the next een 🎣🎣
I'm sure you'd soon pick up the fly casting techniques. I've seen a video of some folks using the Aldi fly kit - they were very impressed with the rod and reel for the price. Get yourself to a commercial fishery and give it a go. I'd be happy to join you out on the bank. Phil.
@@anotherangleUK It does look a nice wee peice of kit for the price Phil, I have often had thoughts of using the rod with a small fixed spool reel at the bass or sea trout it would be great fun. It would be nice o yea tae show me the ropes sometime on fresh water and yid probably get a lauch at me trying as salt is in ma bleed lol I have more time tae go fishing noo as not at the bakery now 🎶🕺🎶🕺🎣
I'm not sure anything under 18lb line is recommended for any pike fishing these days, regardless of location. You never know what will take your bait and how hard it will fight!
@@anotherangleUKlove your content and appreciate we all do things differently. But it I's a good idea to use a thick braided line 50 pound plus. Not just for landing the big girls it's mostly to retrieve your deadbait if it gets snagged. If you get snapped off your leaving a deadbait in the water with hooks in it. Not good if a pike picks it up and swallows it. All the best look forward to your next upload.

Winter piking...you have to put the blanks in to get the reward, but what a stunning venue.

What a great forest, bet it comes alive in the summer.
It's usually fairly quiet with people but it can certainly come alive with midges in the summer months 😁
12lb line?😮
Not had a problem with that in this type of water. Would scale up for Lomond, Awe, Menteith etc

Good point, looks like I’ll be re spooling with heavier line before next outing. The loch looks to have potential to me. Tight lines Phil

Good point - taken onboard for next outing (new line on order). Thanks for watching, tight lines for 2024.
