As far as resetting it the oil light is pretty easy you'll see their procedures should be in the owner's book or it will be on UA-cam another video could have the procedure a lot of the vehicles now are pretty easy to reset in the computer

For the most part the S-Class Mercedes of this year are really really good they do have a couple air shock problems and when the air shocks go out it is a little expensive but it's worth the quality of car. If you're not sure if you can afford it you probably can't so I wouldn't waste the time on a high-end luxury car I would just get a Honda Fit or a Honda Civic. I was about to buy my first foreign after years of Cadillacs . I wanted a bmw 750 li but those cars are really troublesome so after. Doing my homework I have decided to go with the S class . So many people warning me of how expensive they are and saying they are just as bad as bmws . Great question The only difference is the cold flow protection so say you live somewhere like Michigan you would want the 0W-40 other than that you're pretty much good anywhere with the 5W40

And of course you want to always check your motor oil and keep an eye on it to make sure it looks good and you're not burning oil and there's no oil contamination

Great question the pi cleaner treats up the 20 gallons of gasoline. I usually put it in 10 to 15 Gallons when I put it in on my vehicles. After driving my car through 6 gallons of gas I can already feel the difference

You can do anything you want the oil that actually comes in those cars it's a synthetic blend most full synthetics are about 25% synthetic and they're about 75% mineral oil. The mineral oils are refined the synthetics are built molecules they hold up a lot better less carbon buildup higher film strength less friction less heat less wear. Great question Lucas I always like to take a look at the oil when it comes out to see if there's any particles just doing my basic inspections also I like to take a look underneath the belly pan see if I have any leak starting Different things like that I'm always on top of my equipment. But then again that's the way I've always been lol 😉
Whats your problem if he wants to go underneath, beside or on top of the car. Besides going underneath the car and removing the plastic shield is a good way to check for hidden leaks

For the most part the S-Class Mercedes of this year are really really good they do have a couple air shock problems and when the air shocks go out it is a little expensive but it's worth the quality of car.
If you're not sure if you can afford it you probably can't so I wouldn't waste the time on a high-end luxury car I would just get a Honda Fit or a Honda Civic.
When something breaks on a Mercedes it's usually a couple thousand dollars☕

I was about to buy my first foreign after years of Cadillacs . I wanted a bmw 750 li but those cars are really troublesome so after. Doing my homework I have decided to go with the S class . So many people warning me of how expensive they are and saying they are just as bad as bmws . Well I priced a gang of parts on eBay and I have a Mercedes mechanic that does his work at home so I don’t think it will be any worse than any other car that’s luxury made . I’m looking at a 07 blue one and a 09 white one and a 2012 black one . Which I probably lean towards the black 2012

on the S550 transmission fluid service-----the pan bolts are single use, looked like your guy reused the bolts----any leaks yet??
The ones that are on that car are multi-use.
Might be a different transmission year looking at.

Great question The only difference is the cold flow protection so say you live somewhere like Michigan you would want the 0W-40 other than that you're pretty much good anywhere with the 5W40

How do I know when to change oil, I have a 2011 S550
I would check the owner's manual but I believe most of the Mercedes are all one year or 10000 miles whichever comes first
And of course you want to always check your motor oil and keep an eye on it to make sure it looks good and you're not burning oil and there's no oil contamination

Great question the pi cleaner treats up the 20 gallons of gasoline.
I usually put it in 10 to 15 Gallons when I put it in on my vehicles.
After driving my car through 6 gallons of gas I can already feel the difference

You can do anything you want the oil that actually comes in those cars it's a synthetic blend most full synthetics are about 25% synthetic and they're about 75% mineral oil.
The mineral oils are refined the synthetics are built molecules they hold up a lot better less carbon buildup higher film strength less friction less heat less wear.

Just subscribed I will be taking over my brothers 2008 s550 it has 160,000 miles. I know maintenance will play a big role on how long the car lasts until it gives out. You seem pretty knowledgeable would you know about how many miles a s550 can last the car is in good condition. Really informative video I hope you get more subscribers!
This particular model it's pretty much good for about a half million miles.

Why you don’t use a pump to extract the oil ?? No need to go underneath the car . MB owners don’t do that.
Great question Lucas I always like to take a look at the oil when it comes out to see if there's any particles just doing my basic inspections also I like to take a look underneath the belly pan see if I have any leak starting Different things like that I'm always on top of my equipment.
But then again that's the way I've always been lol 😉
Whats your problem if he wants to go underneath, beside or on top of the car. Besides going underneath the car and removing the plastic shield is a good way to check for hidden leaks
While you're under there, you have the chance to look out for other potential issues and at the same time, admire good automotive engineering
