Thank you for this. As one that is looking at buying at. Galicia later this year. After falling in love with Galicia a month ago. This is a very useful guide to me. Personally. I think there's a good reason why. Ferrol represents good value because it's a shithole. Personally, I loved Vigo. And a coruña. And think despite the higher price per square metre, these both will be representing good value as an investment in the future. After coming from Porto and visiting Vigo, I was shocked. And how lovely Vigo was. And how underFrequented that it was by tourists. I thought Porto was highly overrated comparatively. Based on your recommendation, I'll be happy to check out Pontevedre next time I return.
Great video! I'm hoping to buy in the near future. Would u recommend that I source a property through a local estate agent there or better to search online? Thank you
Many thanks peaceforchildren. I would initially start online to get an idea of areas and prices. Idealista Spain is for me the best website but others like Kyero and Fotocasa.es and pisos.com are also worth a look.
How is the weather in Galicia region? Is it rainy? Wet summer or winter? We live now in an area where it is more rain than sunshine during summer and planning to buy a place in Spain.
It has a lot of rainfall, at least compared to the south of Spain. But it varies by region. Out of the major cities I would say Santiago has the most rain and Vigo the least.
Good video but you fail to mention the major problem with Santiago -- the problem of overtourism. It is the ending point of all but one of the camino routes so there is a constant influx of hikers practically every day. This has droven up prices and priced out locals, especially from the old town. It is for this reason that I am focusing my search on Pontevedra, which for me is the perfect combination -- a mini Santiago on the coast and with less tourism.
Any tips on the best place to buy a country house in Galicia?

Thank you for your feedback Peter.
Choose one. Turin or Santiago de Compostela? Real estate prices are approximately the same.
I would choose Turin.
@@saveandinvestwithgiorgiolo8375 May I ask why Turin would be better?
@@saveandinvestwithgiorgiolo8375, I would choose Santiago de Compostela.
Interessnt
Interessing indeed.
