They sent down three Olds; one each for Coach, Collie J. Nicholson (SID), and one for Conrad Hutchinson the band director. Pres. RWE Jones took the last Olds for himself, and gave "Hutch" a station wagon. True Story.!
@@lwmson it's been quite a while, but I heard from G-Men that he had "interest" big time from the NFL..now was that as head coach, coordinator or position coach? Idk.but I've heard the New Orleans Saints was one of those teams to be interested..I mean look at the track record of this great man..wouldn't be far fetched..I'm sure Bear Bryant had interest too, but chose to stay in college..coaches like McKay of USC had done it, so again I'm pretty sure coach Rob had options, but at that time probably only as an assistant, not a HC.
This guy is a fookin legend. Emotional person and the winningest coach in Division I football history.
Thank you for posting these Oldsmobile commercials..
The GOAT
I hope Oldsmobile contributed to Grambling during that time

You in the 2nd commercial..that white Dudes hair ...
A coaching legend. It's such a shame racism impeded him from coaching in the NFL. If he had,he would have been as great as Lombardi.
joe jones had opportunity for NFL,he respectfully declined.
@@j.salaam7797 Really? Do you have a source to back that up?

He reminds me of my grandfather who drove and believed nothing but GM and spoke to his neighbors proudly about it ! Well, old U.S.A. built GM.
Oldsmobile is gone now.
is the PINCH BACK in the back ground??
