  • 300 miles on the odometer and rising. I voice my opinion about the Dengfu E22. it's far too soon for a review. but for a written extract of my opinion, please visit the Dengfu E22 Frame thread (See link below).
    Huge shout out to everyone who I've been fortunate to liaise with throughout the build process of the E22. Their contributions have aided in the speedily development of the E22 along with the E10v1.
    I also touch upon the Dengfu E10 in this video, in anticipation of the comparison video between the two. Expect an initial opinion of the E10 in due course, followed by the comparison.
    Feel free to comment below or reach out to me, should you have any questions or enquiries.
    Until the next video guys and girls, take it easy ✌🏿

    Great video. What exact version is the head tube angle from works components for the e22? There is a few of them and wasnt sure what model you went with

    • @neekodevinchi

      I used the EC44/56 (130-140mm) 2 degree headset from works components. But the Slackerizer headset from Superstar Components (which is cheaper), also fits.
      I think I listed the exact headset on the E22 frame thread on the 2nd page so feel free to peruse through the thread.

      Bare with me Richard. I'm in dialog with Dengfu in an effort to unravel the exact geometry of each frame size. I've already confirmation that the method to which they measure reach is different from the standard norm. I'll keep yourself and everyone posted.

    Neeko, what's the range like with the battery and what's the biggest capacity battery you can use with the E22? Keep up the good work mate 👊🏽

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Apologies for the delay.
      For me, the range is adequate (no different from other high capacity emtbs). Granted, I have programmed the M620 motor to make it more efficient. But I am able to average around 40/50miles, comfortably using all levels of assist as and when I need them.
      I am testing a 52v battery which further increases efficiency but the weight does increase. Its early days for me to gauge whether my mileage has increased but I'll share my findings in due course.
      But ultimately, the supplied 840wh battery (48v17.5amp) is appropriately spec'd for this frame.
      Thanks for your comment 👍🏿

      @@neekodevinchi psyching myself up for M620 build and (obviously) looking at dengfu frames - want to run 52v really, but the battery case specs say they only fit 65 cells, have you managed to squeeze 70 cells in?

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      I do have a 52v15amp battery for the E22 (technically, it fits in the E10 aswell).
      It was sourced aftermarket but I'm looking into ascertaining stable routes for others to use.
      I have cracked one of my 48v17.5amp batteries open. Yes, in theory it can accommodate more cells as the existing bms is small and somewhat basic 👍🏿

    The Bafang stuff is pretty good...
    You can have as big a motor on your E-BIKE as you want as long as you only ride on private property...
    Would like to do a build with a Chinese hardtail alloy frame made for the Bafang M620 imported through Alibaba...
    The total cost would be around $3000AU that includes importation of frame and forks plus the motor kit and then the rest of the parts purchased in AU would get it 100% finished when in Australia..

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому

      It's possible to get hardtail emtbs powered by the M620 motor at that price point. My FLX Blade wasn't that expensive and the bike (after 3 years), is still as strong and reliable as the day I got it. Alternatively, I have seen examples where they have welded the mounting plate for the M620 motor onto regular hardtails and build them up.
      I'll see whether I can cover this in future projects 👍🏿
      Appreciate the comment.

    Great video, thanks! Can you describe the feel and responsiveness of the torque sensor on the m600 / ultra motor? I've only used the BBS02 and that is cadence sensor only, and the power is essentially on or off. Do the integrated middrives deliver a smoother, modulated power delivery? Thanks!

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Sincere apologies for the delay Mickey.
      You're not the first person to ask me about the difference between the M620/M600/M500/M400 etc compared to the BBS line of bafang motors.
      Truth be told, I tend to reprogram them to cater for my riding style and preferences. And emtb's which use the same motor in my fleet could be different in terms of parameters in accordance with how I want the bike to ride.
      Overall, there is a difference in terms of the torque sensor used by the different motors. However the more power you through the motor, the less 'natural' it feels overall. Thus, most riders tend to find the right balance of power/responsiveness/efficiency.
      I'll do my utmost to demonstrate the difference in a video (just need to get a frame to build up either a BBS01/BBS02/BBSHD 😀).
      Thanks for the comment and apologies for the delay 👍🏿

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Apologies for the delay Damian.
      Depending on your location, my advice will differ.
      If you live in the UK for example, your best of buying the frame, battery headset etc from Carbon Cycle on ebay. Then buy the motor from Titan Pro who are located in the UK (they deliver quite fast).
      I do understand your concerns and apprehensions. I myself dont like using avenues whereby I cant have some form of insurance or means whereby I can get my money back if something bad happens. Using Ebay & PayPal ensures that you have avenues to explore should things go bad. But the experience wasn't bad. I made diligent enquiries before hand and in terms of the method which they would deliver the frame and battery. And true to their word, the battery arrived first via DHL in 2 weeks. Then the frame via Royal Mail. Tracking reference numbers were supplied.
      Don't hesitate to ask me anything further questions about the ordering process or specific avenues in accordance with your location.
