That’s smart I definitely did that with a printer I shipped it’s better to be safe that’s why I like to add weight when measuring and shipping better to be extra!

I’ve shipped more than 5 DVD, VCR, Blu-ray and combos this way and they’ve all arrived well to myself customers with positive feedback! ample bubble wrap to where you can’t see it and filling in the voids with packing paper and passing the shake test is all that’s needed I hope this helps you save time next time packing!
What I do is just length wise about 3 times like you did. Leaving the front, and back exposed. Then I'll get some wrap (about 2 squares) or the length of the device. Just fold about 3 or 4 times. Then I'll Then fold that in half. You'll use the same amount of wrap, but have about an inch or more of padding for the front which is really the only part you need to protect.....if something heavy enough drops on it to break it then it would break anyways. So yea just do the front, and enough length wise for the tape to stick to. I agree though....the way you did it works fine 99% of the time

That’s bad packaging for a vcr. That little bubble wrap does nothing to protect it . Need peanuts and bigger bubble wrap

i spent an extra 4 on a shipment just to not use fed ex ....LOL ugggh
I agree I no longer use FedEx I’m not a fan only usps and UPS 🤣
