Bone Valley Improvements & Lakeland Trains - September, 2023

Here's a video I made of a day I took to railfan around Lakeland the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, between Lakeland and Mulberry. Enjoy!

Sorry Christian that I’m late to the party as I’ve been very busy at work. Your insight of Polk County railroad operations and history is much appreciated. The only things you left out were Sheriff Grady Judd, who loves to get in front of video cameras, and the fact that the Mulberry McDonalds has been torn down and being (a favorite pit stop of rail fans) lol!

Nice video! Do you know any good times or days of the week to railfan in Mulberry? Kinda want to get some trains passing by those Y pattern signals at the diamond before they're gone, since bases for new signals have already been installed for them

Thank you! The Bone Valley is very unpredictable, somedays there will be a handful of trains, and some days it's action packed. Your best bet for a train on the Bone Valley sub is L769, it runs daily and passes the diamond anywhere from 10am to 12pm. Good luck!
