People, regardless of nationality, ought to be angry at what governments have done to Irish people (including the current regime in Ireland). Democracy is a process, not an excuse for initiating force on human beings.
The most interesting actor on film. Does so little, expresses so much. Love to watch his eyes. From what I know, a very decent, special man with a tender heart. If you haven't read his autobriography, it's called "Pictures in my Head".
**Curls up with my blankets and keeps rewatching this or the "Earl Haraldson" interview on the History Channel website** :) This all makes perfect sense and it's just "so true"! Xx
I am one of the many children of Irish who had to leave, to find work in England, , America! !! And we here never where able to call our self second generation Irish like my American counterparts ! So growing up through the trouble in north Ireland it was best to say I have and Irish mum or dad
Not sure what I'm even doing here, I'm neither Irish, nor British, nor any English native. 😅 But I sure am a Gabriel Byrne fan and his own experiences along with the work of this community is highly interesting.

Well I often been ask if I am Irish. Or if i am English! Well can say I talk with and English accent yet my thoughts are Irish .my mother would us the words going home! And she phone home to the phone box in the street to talk to her mother, and some would get to come to the phone. I have never no a time I could pop in to see my family I would have to travel to them,to other country . But they alway my family. .I am one of the many children of Irish who had to leave,
Immigration as we all know is not uncommon and is very global. People immigrate for economic and political reasons. Interestinly immigrating to another country is a very brave thing to do because you are entering the unknown and risk being rootless. Immigration can break up communties, families. I once wanted to immigrate to Australia but didn't have the courage. Imimmigrants subconciencly seek eack other out in order to fit in, feel at home and lay down roots. We are definely tribal.
I agree with you Gabriel. Looking forward to joining you on World Irish.🇮🇪👏🏻
Gabriel Byrne, you are a wonderful actor and a great ambassador of Irish culture. Cant' wait to read your new book.
My favorite actor !!! Go Gabriel !!!
