Maynard sounds incredible on this tour! the last couple of years he's been half assing the vocals with extra backing tracks , extra echoing effects and distortion pedals. It was suspicious because i thought he might be at the end of his career with tool but now im thinking it was because he was saving his voice for the new album and just picking up money from all of the tours but wasn't to interested in putting on his best performance. but listen to this! it's sounding like he's loving this tour and belting out those hard hitting notes he used to so he can create new vocals for the new tool album !
