Hello there youtube, This is a brand new channel and it is the first time I have made a video. If you have any ideas, please leave a message to tell me. If you like it, please subscribe and press the small bell. Thank you!
Very nice video, whats the price for a cab from JFK to times square? It's better to take an uber or a cab? What's the best part to take an airbnb in Manhattan? thanks
this a good video to show how to drive expressway. M watching it cause I have a fear of driving expressway or highways. My sense for directions is terrible so yeah
same man, I landed at EWR at night, when I started getting close to Manhattan, it felt nothing short of a dream. The building that I had been seeing on screen were there in front of my eyes in full glory. It's just surreal.
The only time I’ve been to NYC was October 2019, just before covid. Driving toward Manhattan from JFK and seeing the skyline lit up as the sun was going down in an orange sky is something that will always live with me.
The most beautiful video I have seen, and the absence of sound effects or music indicates good taste and enjoyment of natural sounds with natural scenery. Thank you, owner of the channel. I came to watch the video because my dream is to go to New York. Your brother from Yemen. We wish you happiness.
The ride from JFK to Manhattan is something I've done several times, and I miss it dearly. I always feel so happy when I get my first look at the skyscrapers I love so much.
I must concur with my compatriot here. Much more of a feeling of actually being there than the average documentary. Personally, I don't feel there was any need to remove the car horns. It's a famous part of the experience!
As a limousine driver who worked in NYC i have mad respect for your driving. I don't know if you are in the business but you could not have done a better job driving. I watched the whole video and it brought back many memories I haven't been driving for a couple of years but I will always have found memories of driving the NYC area Great video
I am from Europe. I travelled a lot, but never to US. I noticed how signs above highway tell you everything. Brilliant. And the view is amazing. Thank you for video!
They tell you everything in Europe too? At least they do in the UK and from what I remember about driving in the rest of Europe all information is there
The shadows indicate it was early morning - most likely a weekend - because it's Crazy Good time to get from JFK to midtown in 30 minutes! You round that bend on the LIE and then BAM! - there's the Manhattan skyline directly ahead. I've driven this route so many times yet still get jazzed when the skyline first comes into view.
I was watching this video to see what approaching Manhattan from the east was like. It's not that different from approaching it from the south west via the NJ turnpike. I've crossed over the GW bridge many times. Sometimes we went south into Manhattan. Other times we stayed on the Cross Bronx expressway. Either way, seeing the Manhattan skyline was pretty amazing.
Fantastic Journey by car. As suffering victim of Corona Virus you offered me the chance to flee from isolation to a thrilling N.Y. adventure. Thanks to the author from the bottom of my heart.
I remember this back in 2008, I was just a kid and this memory will last forever. This city has a unique feeling... Wish I could go back to visit again. One day...
This remind me when my brother in law and I went to the ESSEXX house... except that time was from LGA to the ESSEX... When I was able to travel to NYC... miss that
I’m thrilled to watch this! I’ve always been in the back of a cab and never knew how we got to Manhattan from JFK. And from the hotel back to JFK when we left. I haven’t been to NYC since 1999. When things are truly open again I’m going back. I miss it so much!
My and my family took a trip to NYC (from Italy) three years ago. I don't know what fascinated me so much of that city, but it was a mesmerizing experience. I still have breakfast every day with a Chelsea market mug! :-)
My first and only trip to the USA was to visit New York for three nights in 2017. I remember arriving at night to see the skyline all lit up. Perhaps the most iconic of urban landscapes in the world, It’s a view I’ll always remember.
Excellent videos. I used to live on E 20th in Peter Cooper. Brings back so many memories of coming home on the exact route, until turning south after the Midtown Tunnel. Now I go from JFK to Brooklyn Heights to visit my family. Thanks.
Love this, thanks for posting. I remember my first trip to the States from the UK. I had to drive to Endicott NY and a guy I met on the plane said 'take the second lane on the right on the Van Wyck and it'll take you all the way. So that's what I did - Van Wyck to the 495, Midtown Tunnel, 34st, Lincoln Tunnel, Highway 3, Rt 17 - all the way to Bigampton and then Endicott!!! Fantasic. This video brought back some great memories of my time there and of Manhattan. Thanks again.
Wow...thanks for the ride and the memories! I was born & lived in Whitestone for 23 years on 22nd Ave off the Van Wyck Exp. not too far from the Whitestone Bridge. Took this route many times...often as a teenager with my friends. Lived there through the '60's & '70's & saw a zillion incredible concerts during that period in NYC, NJ, & Long Island, including the Beatles at Shea Stadium, & every WHO concert at the Filmore East & everywhere else they played! Miss it so much...I'm stuck in Indiana now...so boring....
@@Jocelyn_Jade It’s not what it looks like lol. Sure the skyscrapers and flashy Time-square screens painted out to be amazing 🤩, but the reality is a whole different story, with sky high prices for everything, like literally everything that one can even imagine.
Oh the memories of life in NYC...my exit 11, the LIE deciding point - tunnel or bridge?.....ok tunnel, crazy Manhattan lane switching stop and go traffic, went right by my office, bank and subway stop. Thanks for sharing!

Enjoyed that. What I picked up, and it’s the same the world over, no one can just stop and wait at a red light, everyone has to just roll forward for no good reason just so the guy behind can think you’re going abs then hit you from behind. Just stop and brake on.
There is a culture of crash for cash in Ireland where people do exactly that, roll off on a green and then hit the brakes in front of someone to generate an accident and get a big claim. I would not drive in NYC because the risk of getting lost in some rough part is too high.
