The sunset was beautiful! I really enjoyed seeing the snow on the trees! I live in Florida so it was fun to see the snow!! Thank you! So glad it was just a plane!

Russia often arrives at the North Pole in nuclear ice breaker , out pops a huge balloon of the earth, a band plays music, cameras film the whole thing, kids dance in a circle around the earth balloon, it’s crazy and you can book the trip to go. There are videos on tube that show it, search Russian Nuclear Ice Breaker arriving at North Pole . One of our Canadian coastguard ships struggled through the ice to the pole, bent their prop and as they sat there congratulating themselves on making it though it was soooo hard, a Russian one has no problem, churns up, stops and the whole thing I just described popped out. The two crews welcomed each other, ate, played music together, drank Wodka and Canadian booze and had a great time. They helped the Canadian ship get through the ice too. Ex worked at our oceanographic institute and I saw the film they took of it. Unfortunately he got the film 😢 and my dog. Happy New Year all🍾🥂🥰🙋🏼♀️

There’s also an airbase In Luleå Sweden, about 3hrs away from Rovaniemi
Can confirm that when it’s reallllly cold outside sound can be magnified, and engines often work harder. Which can result in crazy loud noises!
