Hola. I noticed you added a video midweek this time, and I actually watched it on Friday night, but I'm just now writing a comment on Sunday night. I hope I didn't forget anything I wanted to comment on, but I probably did. 😆 We have a city in Florida called Pensacola, and at first I thought it was the same name as that city, but I actually noticed tonight that it's not the same. 😅 It's really interesting to see these coastal towns after some stormy weather, since I'm so used to seeing them in summer with that perfect blue sky. The clouds in the opening of the video on the beach are spectacular. Really enjoyed the walk on the beach and the sound of the ocean. It's so relaxing, I could listen to it all day (and I often do on beach days).😄 The view of the castle from the beach with the clouds behind it ... very nice. Walking through the old town up in the castle was fantastic. Beautiful little church at 16:00, the Santa Maria Parish. I noticed in this town that there is a blue theme - some of the buildings and the trim around doors and windows. I like it, very charming. In fact, I think the seashell house is very blue too. That was interesting! 😄 The panoramic view at 18:40 is amazing. There are so many stunningly beautiful views from way up here. Wow. As I'm going through some of the video again, I just noticed an even better view at 20:00, and you got lucky, the church bells rang right on cue! 😂Sometimes things just work out right! And it looks like tables are set up for a restaurant at around 20:00. Wow, what a view from there. There seem to be lots of apartments around this area. I imagine they must be very expensive in such a location. Another beautiful, old church at 24:00, and a nice little bench there too at 24:25. 😄 Nice statue of Benedict XIII, Pope Luna. I almost thought ... pope moon, that sounds odd. 😅 I looked it up, Pedro Martinez de Luna. Okay, that makes sense now. 🙂 Wow, the view at 27:00 is incredible. The pope sure picked a great spot to build his castle! Another great view at 37:45. Loved the Santa Ana shrine at around 42:00. At 46:45, wow, that's a long way down! Nice view of the port at the end. It looks like it's still a working port for fishing? Very enjoyable video as always. Have a great week.
Hola de nuevo! You're right, this time I uploaded my video a little early. As you know, a few weeks ago Valencia suffered severe flooding due to the storm and I happened to book my accommodation in Peniscola weeks in advance of the storm, not imagining that I would find it like this when I visited. This town is located about 140 kilometers (approximately 86 miles) from Valencia and also suffered the storm, although not as violently. When I got there I found a somewhat desolate atmosphere, with hardly any tourists or locals on the streets of the old town, so my initial idea of filming the town on a sunny day full of tourists went down the drain, so I decided to show what the atmosphere was like after the storm. Yes, I knew you have a city called Pensacola. Many years ago I heard that name in a movie (specifically in the movie "Contact") and I thought that name was funny, so it's a name that has stuck in my mind 😄 It seems to be of Spanish origin, so it makes sense that they look alike. I also like the clouds in the background of the old town, in fact, I had previously filmed a walk along the beach with the sky covered in clouds in the morning but at sunset the sky cleared up and it looked so spectacular, so I decided to film it again. One of the positive aspects of filming without anyone around is that you can hear the sound of the sea perfectly. I agree with you, the views from the wall are very beautiful and the best of all is that I had them all to myself 😄 Practically the entire old town was at my disposal... And also as you say the bells rang at the right moment! Most of the restaurants were closed that day so those tables you see there they left them for the next day. I see you noticed the tribute to the Spanish benches 😆 It's my little tribute due to the last comments we had about them I had that same confusion too! 😄 I thought the Pope's nickname was also due to something related to the moon. But as you say, everything has a more logical meaning. That chapel of Santa Ana is so hidden that I almost passed it by even though I knew it was on that street. Although I like that it is so hidden, it's like discovering a little treasure. Yes, that port is still active, in fact shortly before filming my second tour of the beach, I saw several fishing boats returning from fishing.
