Sorry @Vortex or MMP community members if this is a stupid question, but in the use case Vortex shows here, what are the benefits of using Ableton Link? Is it just sinking the tempo/BPM across apps? Or is there other potential that Vortex didn’t demonstrate here? What if you add an iphone with launchpad loaded into this setup for instance? What would be the benefit of using Ableton Link?
Yep the main benefits is the syncing of tempo/bpm/start/stop across multiple apps and then multiple devices over your local wifi network. Adding an additional device like an iPhone with Launchpad would also be super dope, probably should have added an additional device like that in this video lol
Very Helpful tutorial as usual thanks! I’m glad to know about the bugs (it’s not me lol), One Question: Why use Audiobus, why not just route the app to a channel using IAA?
Yes you can certainly use AUM but it's basically via IAA which IMO is not as stable as Audiobus. However we have a video on how to do it here ua-cam.com/video/YrzFwTefn94/v-deo.html
@@MobileMusicPro I was just checking out the video you mentioned and I agree that IAA is not the best option. Might have to get Audiobus just for this feature.
Does it mean I can use korg Iwavestation on cubasis!? I can't beleave it! I thought i'll never enjoy it on cubasis. Thank you very much for your contribution!
IMO Link is still badly implemented in Cubasis. I have ruined projects by accidentally having Link turned on when opening Cubasis, which then automatically changes all the clip lengths without any warning in the case when another app happens to be running with a different time signature. There is no proper way to reset the project’s BPM and restore the clip length.

IMO audiobus is far more stable than IAA but you could certainly do that if you'd like :)
@@MobileMusicPro Good to know! Ya I have constant probs with IAA! What about AUM ?
@@radiorobasoar AUM would only be able to connect to Cubasis via IAA.
Great video!
Is there a way to use AUM similar to how you used Audiobus to record into Cubasis 3?

Remix Live is getting AU support soon so might be cool with Ableton Link and Cubasis 3
Oh snap that's dope!!

That's correct :)
can i connect launchpad pro to cubasis 3 for live drum performing?
Yessir! Cubasis and the iPad itself works with any class compliant midi controller and audio interface.

Sorry to hear that Steven, I've yet to encounter this issue, please make sure to report it in the forum :)
@@MobileMusicPro Already did, quite some time ago.
