Like, Misdrevous has equal special and speed, and equal but physical and hp... but Fluttermane has less physical stats then Misdrevous. That's just called min-maxing. I'm not sure if it'd matter, but imagine if it at least had 15 higher in it's physical and HP and less in special and speed. At least then it'd look like they weren't trying to min-max it to the max... Oh, and it's typing is stupid... but gamefreaks favorite thing to do to combat overpowered types has always been introduce a new overpowered one, ever since the steel type. They're never tried to just balance the types they have... (They've done some rebalancing over the years, but that's overshadowed greatly by the introduction of steel and fairy types) Gamefreak gives pokemon types that 'make sense' without thinking about balance, and sometimes all the broken pieces line up like they do here.

Obviously it is, all these paradox nonsense mons required help from 12 year olds, the way they are named is proof alone. Flutter Mane, Iron Leaves, Great Tusk, Orange Carrot. etc.
I mean, look at the decisions made since Gen 5 in terms of pokemon balance: Gen 6 introduced megas to power creep the base stat pool and gave mega to pokemon that should not have them, Gen 7 gave us Tapus and UBs with terrain switch in and insane stat distribution respectively, Gen 8 undid megas, but inroduced Dynamax (banned from Smogon quickly) and a bunch of other pokemon just outlawed on sight. Not surprised Gen 9 is essentially the holy grail of bad decisions in terms of competitive power creep (which is a shame, since Tera is actually a cool competitive mechanic).
I for one am in the “I like Misdreavus & don’t play VGC so I have no problems with this thing” boat but even then does it really need all that coverage???
Shoutout to the Paradox Pokemon being a secret strategy to make more Mega-Evolutions i mean, Flutter Mane among a few more examples are just Mega Evolutions without the stone or turn to transform
I don't play competetive in any format but i can only assume that the only way Flutter mane can be any more broken would be for it's S.def to be it's Atack instead so it would become a mixed attacker. All power no bulk
So wait, as a casual, I have to wonder. Can priority physical moves keep this thing in check? Banded grassy glide, scizor bullet punch, 5 fainted gambit sucker punch?

Paradox and ultra beasts always seem to be made competitively in mind whenever i see their insane stat spread and high identical bst
You say Flutter Mane having 70% usage is unfathomable, but Incinaroar has had higher usage
Incin is also easier to counter because he is very passive and/or is very slow.

I love how flutter mane's design is so close to Misdreavus that, as a person who didn't play SV, I literally thought Flutter Mane was just a bad regional form of Misdreavus with a weird name
Wdym bad
@@Yoshyguy21 It's a terrible design. It's misdreavus but with bangs. None of the charm or coolness the other paradox mons have, even scream tail's cooler and it's literally just a smug jigglypuff with a ponytail. Flutter mane sucks

What’s even worse is that when you catch a wild flutter mane, it already has a competitively viable moveset. You can choose to replace dazzling gleam with moonblast for more damage or keep it as a way to deal spread damage
The designers making Slither wing:
*Alright what if we made a diferent take on a Volcarona? Turning it from a special attacker to a Physical Attacker*
Cool right?

Slither wing gang rise up
They started designing and balancing with Slither Wing, made an interesting mon, and then completely gave up with every single other paradox mon. Hands? Make it unkillable. Moon? Where were the mega files again... Valiant? Fuck it give it everything. Bundle? Minmax this man for no reason. All this shitty game design must be tiring, because they somehow got even lazier and made flutter mane.

As a 12-year old, I unironically thought Misdreavous was really cool back when it was first shown in gen 2.
But this is straight up someone's fanfic, and they didn't much care for Mismagius.
It’s all good till Incinaroar pulls up like “where the weed at😈”
flutter mane always either does absolutely nothing and gets ohkod or sweeps my entire team, this is literally only dependent on if my torkoal has a full-power eruption and I have some way of making it act first still
I really hope that thing will go down in flames when we get a Restricted Legendaries format in VGC. I think Calyrex Shadow Rider and Xerneas will make Flutter Mane less interesting to use.
I doubt that. Gaining an immediate sun speed boost just from entering the field is too enticing.
In singles ubers Flatter Mane is still very viable, although that is with Calyrex shadow banned and Xerneas not in the game. But nevertheless it's considered more viable than both Arceus fairy and Arceus ghost.
I hope they introduce new Paradox mons in the 2nd DLC
@@Nako3There's already the Paradox Raikou and Cobalion confirmed, so there probably will be a Paradox Entei and Terrakion. But other than that, I don't think any more will appear.
imagine being so disgusting you need xerneas and calyrex shadow in a no-dynamax format to balance ur ass.
it was made by a 12-year-old, this is a reference to the fact that it's baby

Flutter Mane is the definition of the Mesugaki ghost waifu Pokemon
Dude wants to bang a prehistoric ghost
The concept of Fluttermane makes sense on paper. It's literally a more extreme version of Misdrevous, which makes sense. However, nothing else about it makes much, if any sense.
I’ve been loving this videos! I feel like you’re gonna blow up even more on YT, keep it up
And thank God that 12 year old was cooking. I've always thought Misdreavous was cute but Mismagius was trash, and Flutter Mane solves everything, in exchange for chasing me out of playing the game online lmao
I TBH love that a cute mon is so powerful.
The actual problem here is that Flutter Mane was made by a vtuber, like genuinely
What?
what?
i need to see the elaboration on this LOL
I need the STORY!
what does this even mean
Flutter Mane character syndrome
One day, Gamefreak might make a paradox Luxray and call it something like Midnight Spark or something and slap the electric/dark type on it
That would require them to make any kind of regional variant/paradox gen 4 Pokemon which they have done none of in 3 gens because they hate sinnoh.
Iron valiant only half counts because apparently according to bulbapedia that’s a paradox Pokémon based off both ballade and gardevoir. So not even a full one.

Yee I wonder what would happen if spectrier had fairy stab… *this thing pops out*

It's the epitome of the fragile sweeper. Any half-decent physical move it isn't immune to is going to crush it. Especially Bullet Punch, Tera aside.

Once again an absolute banger! Flutter Main is insane. Among us, sorry, among us, sorry, Amoongus next???
Personally I feel like Flutter Mane is pretty amazing :)
I find it surprising they made a paradox version of Misdrevious, but not its evolution, Mismagius. Makes you think Mismagius has been forgotten.
She's just goofy like that
I don't play competetive in any format but i can only assume that the only way Flutter mane can be any more broken would be for it's S.def to be it's Atack instead so it would become a mixed attacker. All power no bulk
So wait, as a casual, I have to wonder. Can priority physical moves keep this thing in check? Banded grassy glide, scizor bullet punch, 5 fainted gambit sucker punch?
No. In theory they should but nothing is stopping Flutter from either switching or running substitute. It’s a bandaid solution that doesn’t actually fix the problem.
All of those get 2 shot by non-specs mane and scizor doesn't have roost this Gen so it's a one time switch in at most
Back in the day no one use this pokemon now it got a buff and people hating on it wow 😂

I feel like flutter mane is a bit underpowered at the moment. A good buff would be taking away 80 points from spdef and put 40 in both spa and speed.
I thought we were going to talk about design cause it just has bigger eyebrows. At least the donphan and legendary dog lines have unique traits.
Not even the moose can beat it.
The Misdrevous of Christmas past from the future. One of Johto's absolute finest pokemon. However, perhaps it is not as fine as Iron Bundle, the Delibird of Christmas past from the future.
I guess on the positive end of things, once Gen 10 comes along it’s either going to get nerfed or power crept into irrelevancy. (Or just not obtainable).
In their defense, GameFreak only makes a few billions of dollars, so it's not like they can afford to hire balance teams.
