Yeah, picked the sticks up during COVID after at least a decade of not playing. Church music used to be “rock beat, ride beat, rock beat, ride beat twice, and you’re done”, and I was edgy by playing a couple of those with a bit of a jungle boogie on the toms. Now it seems like some of these songs were written by drummers, because they have very specific parts. I’ve played over 100 new (to me) songs since then, and these kinds of videos are helpful. Learning to play them correctly pushes me to learn new chops, and then I can sprinkle in my go-to’s during certain times. It’s fun that some of my go-to’s are new now! Will be stealing that sexy little fill at 4:27! 😜
@@terrencebradimore663 nice man! Well if you think you might need help getting to the next level, there is much more I can teach you than those 32nd note single strokes at 4:27. Check this video out if you get some time: www.completeworshipdrummer.com/case-study
Successfully stolen this morning. Took a few mental reps to place it in the right spot, but sounded so sweet to nail it. For the record, that fill doesn’t work in “such an awesome God”, where I accidentally tried to implement it during the first run-through. 😂😂😂
For sure the groove that starts at 1:42. I love adding some ghost notes to the snare. It has such a cool feel. Thank you so much for putting out such a great tutorial!!
loved it wonderful
Your drums sound great
Thank you! Do you a set too?
Well done brother!
Thanks man. Have you played this one before?
Wow that’s nice cover love it 👍
Thanks so much!! What song should I do next?
I don’t have a kit like this at church. I will adapt and improvise!
Thanks for watching Gerald! What kind of set up do you have? You can easily adapt to whatever you've got.
This is so awesome. God is so Good. Life Energy. Adam Zalewski Man 🤦🏾♂️ this is one of my top 5 Drummers now for sure.
