We’ve used our e-hive for 6 months and love it. We have bikes and tools of all different voltages, and charge them all off AC from it.
We put a 1200w inverter in our truck bed and run both the 300w and 600w ac chargers to fill it from empty in 3.5 hours. Worked great in Alaska over the summer when clouds and trees made solar inefficient
Wow finally! A portable power station with high power DC output via anderson!!! I've been wanting something like this for so long but none of the major power stations seem to understand the importance of this
It’s a little behind the times on some features, but the inputs and outputs are pretty cool in my opinion!
So Happy I found your channel. There is just not enough good quality channels. Yours is at the top my friend. Great review.
Thanks man I really appreciate that!
I might buy this with the Zero Breeze AC.
Amazing. Just an amazing review, video and product
Thanks Jarrad!
Deserve it brother.
Nice!!! big power
It was nice for keeping the dog cooled down at the expo with their AC unit!
This is a few years behind the times. I remember when they were playing it.
Yeah it took a while to launch. Covid really got in the way, since it’s still a bit of a startup company.
The dc 5521 ports can be used for some computer monitors, led lights, and surveillance cameras. I also use them with some of the base camp lights that I purchased years ago with the InergyTek Kodiak and Apex and older model cpap machine. Also if you like watching stars through a motorized telescope you can use that port .
I love the usage of Anderson connectors here. Wish others would follow suit
Me too! It’s such a useful, serviceable, expandable port!
@@IndependenceOverland right? Way better than 12v cigarette style sockets that work loose. Opening up the door to higher voltage and amperage is even better !
It’s been over two and a half years since I ordered this bundled with the zero breeze mk2 on indiegogo. After months of repeated promises, excuses, and flat out lies, they have generated a shipping label and the slow boat is stateside, with delivery this Friday. I just hope it isn’t buggy as all hell. But it will be used in a camper build.
Damn I am very sorry your having a bad experience with them.
@@IndependenceOverland About 5 emails in this year, the person I was corresponding to was fired, and didn’t do squat at any time regarding my order. They assigned a new minion to it who finally came through. It was getting so bad, I was considering legal action and sheriff authorized seizure, as they were still advertising and selling the units at overland trade shows. Very frustrating to have paid for a product 30+ months ago, only to see it being distributed and sold in front of your eyes. And of course their US distributor was washing their hands of the whole affair. Just hope we don’t require any further customer support.
You mentioned that you would leave links to adapters you bought to more fully utilize the Anderson 25A output, but I don't see anything in the description. Am I blind?
Thanks Troy, you’re not blind I’m just forgetful! I added a list of stuff to the description! Thank you for pointing it out man! 🙏
Very nice. You think this would keep this over your current power station?
Over the Redarc system? No way. I will be doing a video comparing them soon!
Long term trying to keeping up is a challenge, especially if using with the AC. Just did a 2 week trip and it was a challenge to keep the ZB charged up after AC use. If your parked with solar, no problems. But driving all day trickle charging the ZB it falls behind.
@@IndependenceOverland nah I thought you had another power station you were testing.
@@DJTheGX yeah I have 2 others I have been messing with. Trying to understand why people prefer them over a dedicated system. They are good for casual users IMO, but past the 3-4 day point they really start to fall behind.
@@IndependenceOverland yeah, I have two Bluetti EB150s and they could never take the place of my Dual Battery system. I haven’t even hooked up solar yet. Wednesday I should be getting two 100watt BougeRV CIGS panels for the top of the Alucab 😬
The 1250 watt solar input is impressive. However, the poverty NMC battery chemistry at an ultra premium price is a huge letdown.
Ok I haven't seen Anderson power pole connectors since 1996. Expandable and versatile yes but the plugs and pigtails are not sexy 😐... fashionable overlanders may have a problem with that 😅
Haha your right about that! Some people prefer form over function, but certainly not me!
