I don't think the spell backfired. Sending the gift made the situation real and it scared them. They ran from what they are the most scared of. This was the best outcome for you in the end.
I have a mistake that just happened, but ended up actually being really cool. Yesterday night I decided to do a little spell satchel just based on my intuition that I would need for school. I did tiger's eye for concentration, hibiscus for intuition, blue violet for divination and obsidian and eggshell for protection. I placed it on my little bedside alter with no intentions of using it for any kind of dream magick- i've never even tried or looked into dream magick before. But hibiscus and blue violet are also commonly used in dream spells, and because my intention was to enhance my mind whenever i was very close to the satchel or had it on my person, i accidentally triggered a very strong lucid dream. When i looked into what the symbolism of the things i saw in my dream meant out of curiosity, i found that it corresponds almost perfectly with the new way i view my craft, and my fears about my mundane life. TLDR: I did some really cool dream magick without meaning to in the slightest.

Just in case you wanted more stories like these but... more intense: When I was 10 years old, I begged my mother to buy me two miniature books, one with money spells and another one with... you guessed it... love spells. My mother had a relationship at that time and I didn't like the guy, so my first spell was a "how to get rid of a bad lover" spell. Buuuut.... instead of getting rid of him... the spell made him an actual bad lover. After a year or so of screaming, beating and money problems... my mother and I left his house in a hurry one night when he wasn't home because my mom was scared of him... So... yeah, I accidentally created the most traumatic relationship that my mother had.

Don’t blame yourself for his actions. And if anything, it sounds like your spell worked, cause your Mom probably never would’ve left if things hadn’t gotten so bad. I only worked up the courage to leave my abuser when things reached a boiling point.
We have all made mistakes on our journeys. I try to look at mistakes as learning moments and be smarter next time. When I was a baby witch, I went to the dollar store to find an offering plate. I went with a PLASTIC rectangular severing plate- mostly because it had pretty designs and the offering was for Aphroditie. I layed out a bed of geranium leaves, sliced apples and rose petals and secured 6 white taper candles around it. I put the plate on my altar and watched a few movies after doing my ritual. When I got up, I noticed the candles were burnt almost all the way down, and the plastic was melting. There were holes in the plastic, and holes burnt in my altar cloth. My Altar table was made of wood, so I'm glad I caught it b4 the table caught on fire. I learned that day! Lol

this reminded me of a time i was doing some sort of love spell, i was burning a piece of paper and for some reason decided to hold it instead of put it on a dish, i ended up getting scared and throwing it. It hit right next to my eye WHILE STILL ON FIRE and that’s how i nearly went blind. ps the spell backfired and i ended up in a long distance relationship at 12/13
I've always hated dolls and clowns AND dummies. My cousin had a doll similar to the one shown but... puppet-y. It hung from the bottom of a shelf above her bed and was the holy trinity of my nightmares. One night, I was sleeping over and got stuck with the side of the bed right underneath the doll. I was so weirded out by it that I couldn't fall asleep until the sun rose. About 10 minutes after I managed to start sleeping, my cousin suddenly turned over in the bed and the doll FELL OFF ITS HOOK AND ONTO MY FACE. I just... I hate them.
Once when I was still in the broom closet, I did a cord cutting for a friend. I had the bright idea of setting the candles in the bathtub so that if anything went wrong, I could just turn on the faucet and douse the fire easily. What I didn’t anticipate was for it to stain and partially melt a small patch on the bottom of the tub, which I promptly had to lie to my Christian parents about and claim our cat had shit in the tub (which he sometimes did) and the stain from it wouldn’t come out. To this day there is a faint brown spot on the bottom of the tub.
I once did a house cleansing with my sister and we accidently set her hair on fire. Luckily it went out after a few seconds. Before she was loving to make fire, but afterwards she was afraid of it.
Another thing, that happened when I just started off. When I heard about Tarot, I wanted to try it without spending lots of money on my own cards, so I used my moms, which she got gifted by her uncle. I just took them, because I was to scared to ask her, because that would lead to more questions. I also didn't know, how you had to cleanse them, so I just cleansed them very quickly with smoke. I then wondered, why the cards, that I pulled were so messy and totally unhelpful. I tried it a few times, since I thought, that I just needed practice, but it didn't get better and led to a lot of anxiety on my side. So I stopped doing Tarot for a while. Some day I found a beautiful and fair priced Tarot Deck in a Bookstore, that I just had to buy, so I got it. The vibes very a lot better, than with my moms traditional Tarot Deck. I always prefered more artsy designs and the one I got is just perfect for me. Since I use my own cards, my pullings are a lot better and sometimes surprisingly accurate and helpful. I am so glad I invested the 25€ and gave Tarot another shot.
As a child i began having frequent fae encounters, and as a sheltered child raised Baptist, I became OBSESSED with the idea of them and started making faery houses from scratch, leaving out offerings, and teaching my friends to chant, join hands, and meditate to the idea of gaining fae sight until they could see them as well. Things were going well until one of my friends who was a bit skeptical, stepped out into my garden for a bit, only to come sprinting back inside, panting and sobbing, pale as death. She said she heard heavy, raspy breathing down near her feet, and when she looked down, she saw what she described as “a little tiny, pale human with black stringy hair looking up at her from the flower bed and hissing.” I still have no clue what we’d summoned that day, but it surely scarred her enough that she refused to come back to my House for a long time.
Ahhh! These are so awful, but so GOOD. These poor souls! And I can definitely, unfortunately, vouch for the unintentional fires! I'm terrified of fire so I'm always super gentle/careful with tealights and candles and such, but I still managed to gently blow out a candle and watch helplessly as the newly charcoal'd and still burning piece of wick flew straight out of the candle, over my dresser, smacked into my blackout curtains, and straight onto the carpet behind my dresser. I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life! Bought a candle snuffer the very next day.

Omg i have a similar story. I did a really simple and 'not so serious' low key love spell on someone that i didnt even had a proper crush on, and we ended up never seeing each other again and me obsessing over them not being able to get them out of my mind for 1 year and a half. I had to do a couple of spell to undo my fck up. I recommend to do some research and bind your love spell to stop it from affecting you and harming and ask your spiritual team to help you with it. That is one of the many things i did.

I missed where you asked for these stories. Fantastic and entertaining video, I'd love a series of these. I hate dolls. And clowns. I am scared of both. Clown dolls are the worst. My teacher bought me a Christmas gift after our house fire when I was 12. It was a raggedy Anne doll. It terrified me. All dolls do, but those and clowns especially. I had a spirit in the house when young that would torment me with dolls and my clown mirror. I could clairaudiently hear the spirit and he would project his voice from the mirror and move the dolls. He would scare me. I was a kid after all. As for a witchy mistake five months back I burnt a tea light candle in a small cauldron. I had been burning tealights in it. Everything was fine until I had an idea to add rose petals. They caught fire and I had a bonfire going in the cauldron. It was raging. I went to put it out with a glass of water. Water and wax, huge mistake. The fire flamed up to the ceiling. I am lucky I didn't burn the place down or my face, bending over the cauldron to see. I have been practicing since 1996. Whoops.
My biggest 'backfire' was actually a spell gone right. My first spell. I was 14, starting on my journey, and there was this cute boy in my class that I never really talked to, just found him cute. Did the spell... and it actually worked. One week later, he came to me and asked me out. I was terrified, though, and I couldn't manage to date him. He still insisted for a while, but somehow I was freaked, and I feel like I broke his heart - which is awful, considering. A classic moment of careful what you wish for. I took that as a lesson on responsibility, and began to be more mindful of power and consequences.
I’ve been a long time fan of yours so I may have mentioned this story already, but there’s an update to it if I’ve already said it. When I was a beginner witch, I decided to do a love divination spell that was super popular on tiktok. Basically you took water in a bowl and a pink or red candle and you would pour the wax in the water to revel the letter of your romantic soulmate. I was working with archangel Raphael at the time (yes, as a beginner, but it makes sense for me and I’d love to share my witchcraft journey with anyone so if anyone would like me to explain I’d be glad to!) so I had his candle lit along with a white vacant candle for any entity that wished to appear (I was super desperate to work with entities lol). I did the spell and I couldn’t read the candle wax. But the white candle began to react. I used my pendulum at the time to determine that I summoned a demon through this spell. I freaked out, assuming that demons are bad and evil, and quickly cleaned up the spell and banished the demon. Fast forward years later where I’m doing research and I learn that demons in Hellenism aren’t evil or bad but neutral. Some minor gods are seen as demons (daemons), even. So love divination spell plus demon (daemon) appearance plus the fact that all the deities I work with are in the Greek pantheon… Anyways I’m working with Eros now 😅
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like dolls. 😊 Ever since a child I never liked creepy looking dolls, I only liked those fashion dolls and baby alive but that's it, no haunted lookin dolls. I also don't like those baby dolls that move their eyes when you hold e.g if you hold them up their eyes go up.
For my "almost burn the house down story" I essentially went to light a match so that way I could light a candle on my altar (it was on a dresser). Well when I struck the match the match lit but it also broke. The lit part went behind and under the dresser and in my panic I threw the dresser over on it's front and managed to put out the match. Everything that was on top wound up in the drawers or on the bed or floor (I had my bed near the dresser). (Also not witchy related but I accidentally caught my hair on fire with a sparkler (firework) before lol). I'm a walking fire hazard lol.
Yes, I have an almost set myself on fire moment too. I haven't done any magic meddling in anyone else's business for quite a while, because every spell I've ever tried for that has always imploded so as to completely fail. It's not to be. Except for like, physical protection or defense. Or healing. Anything trying to influence anyone else's will is just a waste of time for me.
Stories like these are why I have only after 10 years of learning and basic Pagan practice am I now getting more into spells at all. Makes sense I'd avoid spells given i have ocd and the lack of control while i wouldn't have known what i was really doing freaked me the fuck out. Lol I've long done prayers and "petitions" for protection or healing of others, but in 10 years only did one desperate spell that only partially worked (it was personal enough i won't get into details). Recently, my practice has rekindled and begun to shift a lot and I did a real casting - planned the timing a bit, hand collected herbs and dried them at my alter for a full week, carefully planned the petition/intention to be very specific, and poured my energy into it so much I was exhausted for 2 days after. So far so good, and it's wonderful to have learned from others experiences to be able to feel that sense of control over the working and not have that fear in the same way anymore. Videos like this are such a good teaching tool and i for one appreciate them so so much. ♥️
I ended up making myself an attachment. Like, literally made one. My energy was so low when I started my witchcraft journey that all of that energy ended up forming a "vampire" spirit (energy sucker). Yeah, I took a break for a while after that.

My witchy mistake is that a i made a spell candle, I place it on a glass candle plate, the flame heats up the metal part of the witch and the glass exploded and shards and wax went everywhere!
A couple months ago (like, march) there was this guy i jinxed (because i had a bad feeling about him even tho he was nice (but then again people can pretend)and he also really made my energy feel super drained when i was around him, i also consulted some Deities on it first before actually doing anything and the Deities i asked approved)and i used a jar so i could shake it and give him bad luck , he didn't show up anywhere for a week and i found out he was on Vacation and got sick. Then literally a week later i got sick. But on the plus side, i was right about my bad feeling from him because literally like, two months later he left the group that I'm in (it's a homeschool group) and him and the other guys had discord and the guy that left (aka the one i jinxed) kicked all of them out but he had some of his other friends in there and he forgot to kick out one of them and thought he did ig, because he (the guy that didn't get kicked out) told my sister (because their really good friends) that he (the guy who left the group) was talking shit about everybody in the group to his friends (but not about me and my sister and two other girls, but to be fair i just avoided him all the time so he didn't have anything to say about me (thank the gods)and my sister was just nice to him, she also brushed off my bad feeling that i got off him.) and i found out about it while we we're eating lunch before hanging out with everyone (our parents weren't home at the time so it was just us) and when she told me about that i literally jumped out my chair and went "I KNEW IT!! I FCKING KNEW IT!! I WAS RIGHT!!!" over and over because it felt so good to know that my bad feeling wasn't just a me thing (because when i first felt like he was a bad vibe i also sucked at socializing with men so thats why my sister brushed it off.) and til this day i am still so bewildered at how i managed to Sense his bad vibe *months* before anything even happened.
More spirit work than witchcraft, but I unknowingly banished my husband's ancestral line of bwbachod from the apartment when I was getting rid of residual energy and squatter spirits. I could never get the apartment to feel quite right and it took me over a month of consistent offerings for me to be on their good side again
The socks one reminds me of what I used to do as a child. Around maybe 4th grade I decided I wanted to try making those little ghost lollipops that my teacher hung around the ceiling of the classroom for Halloween. They were just white tissue paper over lollipops with string around them and a face drawn on. Well, I didn’t expect have string or a lollipop. So I made due with stealing tissues out of the Kleenex box. I rolled up one tissue for the head, put another tissue over it, nah the third tissue I would roll up and use to tie the thing closed and serve as arms. Later I would draw a face. At first I was really bad at getting the arms to not rip or keep the head from being lumpy but I did get the hang of it (to the lament of my teachers due to the amount of tissues). But once o got the hang of it I got so many fellow students asking me to make them one. I made them draw the faces on if they did and only would show them how to draw them on without too much bleed on my own I would have set aside. I think I made over 100 one year in the 6th grade. It got so bad that a parent complained I was giving her child and my classmates “poppets.” To be fair, she was probably right but at the time I had no idea what they were and just explained my lollipop origin story. I did eventually curb making these and stopped giving or making them for others. I can still make them now however and have taught my nephew. He absolutely loved them and I remember making a few when I still went to daycare (I would go because my siblings still went and I was the oldest) because there was one little girl who adored my dolls. She would play house with them over playing with the actual doll toys in the classroom (I’m talking 3-4 years old). At one point I started making other handy crafts for the dollhouse and even taught myself how to add dresses to my tissue dolls. All because this little girl adored them. She didn’t even want me to draw faces on them. Her parents did thank me for my patience with her. I got the impression they thought it was weird too. Anyway, yeah I nearly forgot that memory. I should probably write it into my book as one of my childhood things I used to do (that was not the only “witchy” thing I would do as a child). Also on the later doll one. Honestly I have more haunted dolls that is probably safe? Maybe? We keep the one malicious one with a blanket over it’s case (and yes, it has a case, I’m not going to get into that thing). But the rest get a nice place on top of my bookshelf with their own doll furniture to sit on. I also will soon be getting my late aunt’s old doll collection that I do recall has ALWAYS been haunted even when I was a child and she was still alive. So yeah, haunted dolls, not uncommon in my family. I try not to talk too much to other family members I live with about it because they don’t like to be reminded. However all of them (save that one but they do to some degree) behave after careful arranging and consideration to “who they get along with.” Yes I vibe check that because I have one that gets particularly fussy like a spoiled child if I put her too close to certain other ones. Yes I have had my dolls moved. Yes other things have moved. Yes one of them even knocked a book off my shelf to get attention. I basically treat them like toddlers to be honest. They get their space and I tell them to stay in it though and so we don’t really get issues. The worst I get is that the one that is covered likes to eat the electricity out of the closest lightbulb to it before it should be due to be changed and I have lectured it before. Usually knocks it off for a bit before doing it again. Always gives off a sulky energy in that time. Not sure it’s actually harmful. See, THAT one is in a shadow box a great great aunt made with some memorabilia from various family members at that time. Basically some medals, a feather fan, a bible….and a doll. She doll is the culprit. Whenever that shadowbox frame gets hung up and uncovered we have issues with people getting nightmares and kids crying because the room “feels weird.” But beyond that? Nothing. Now, I’m not sure if that is because the doll doesn’t care to actually try anything or if my doll loving late aunt keeps it controlled given she is a known guardian spirit of our household. I do know she sometimes touches or moves my own dolls and has been the influence behind why so many of mine have red hair (she had red hair in life, despite being Mexican in heritage, ran in the family, though skipped me). Anyway, that’s just an interesting experience I had. Apologies for the length. I just didn’t feel it was right to add another separate comment to add this.
One time in like year 10 (I’m from uk) this one teacher was really ableist to my bf at the time so I would Mutter curses and hexes at him ever time I walked past him in the corridors and I just wanted him to like have a shit week or smth but I got caught up in it and one day he disappeared for like a month and when he came back we all found out that he went rock climbing in Spain and broke his back and almost died
I had almost the exact same thing happen as the Norse witch! Early on, Candle spell where I was burning a paper, in a ceramic bowl, got too hot, cracked the bowl, I ended up putting it out with a fire extinguisher

So when I was younger like around 12 and my brother was 8 he got a Ouija board for Christmas frm our parent's. We legit had no clue what we where doing at all!! Lol we had everything happened that ur NOT supposed to have happen!! We ended up with door's that wld unlock an open at nite, and thing's moving on their OWN along with hearing noises in the basement and our staircase and bedrooms, our Mom ended up having the house cleared and got rid of the board , which got rid of MOST the issues, we finally moved and after that we just dealt with our friendlys that came with the old house we had in Indiana. I left a candle or incense in a room and wandered about with all the sense of focused direction of the ADHD I have, and I "hear" in my "clair-audience" sense, "Fire." I had been working on stronger communication with incorporated entities at the time and so its not unusual that some would be around my apartment then. But I dismissed the first warning, thinking, "It's just my brain, it's just anxiety..." But then it came back stronger until it's all I could "hear"/think: FIRE. FIRE. FIRE. BURNING. FIRE. FIRE!!!! So I went back to my room and found a piece of paper had indeed caught fire! And it was small enough I put it out immediately, but if I had ignored the warning any longer, it would have been very bad!
One time on the full moon I wanted to burn some intentions for the first time cause this person I was friends with(who was also witchy) recommended it. I didn’t have any fire safe dishes so I used this tiny steel bowl that was right next to my wall, and I was writing my intentions on a piece of paper. Once I lit it the flames got really big but I was so focused on setting my intentions I wasn’t thinking that I could possibly burn my room to the ground, I didn’t but I set my smoke alarms off so to stay out of trouble I lied and said it wasn’t me that the smoke alarms were just bugging. ( after this I quickly burnt some incense to clear my room of smoke).
My name is Ashleigh (literally every calls me ash or Leigh though) Last year year my bestie (now girlfriend) and new friend went out not the forest on my pops farm when we were camping there with like- fifteen other people. We wove a flower crown and picked some flowers. We hung the crown on a mossy stump and dumped the flowers in the hole in the stump. I even did a little chant along the lines of “Fae, protect please from any harm that may come to us as we return to camp” Because my bestie who has physic abilities said there was something following us. That wasn’t an animal. I feel like I made a very large mistake on my part with the chant.
Fun fact: I have a haunted doll I got when I was ten. She hasn’t done anything bad yet (i mean she loves to give me headaches at random times) but when my dad touches her (my dads mum has an extremely negative attachment by the way) the energy in the house gets so negative I have to go for a walk up to my mums house (nice and positive) Around the time of the latest solar flare (as of October the 30th 2022) and me moving her out of my room after finding out; my friend photo frame fell off her wall (somehow the glass- which is very thin- didn’t break), my stepdads walking stick holder fell off the wall (held on my sticky adhesive and six two inch screws) and some flowers fell over on the shelf at mums. What is weird it that where it is it should’ve fallen off but it fell sideways and was sitting firmly balancing on a candle. It should’ve fallen, even my physics (or was it math) savvy friend said it made zero sense how it stayed there.
I have a story of my own if you would like to use it in another video. I decided to when I was younger I wanted the gift of teleportation yikes I got the gift in the Astral no one told me how chaotic it is when you don't know what your doing. To say the least Hell's fire is way more potent in temperature than Earth's fire. From personal experience although for me eventually I got use to it. Now it's more of a mind over matter thing when I visit.
Omg when I was 15 I did a "lucky in love" spell bc all my friends were getting crushes but I wasn't. Low and behold I became absolutely enthralled with my friend who was in a relationship. So I tried to do an uncrossing to get them off my mind using the Saturn sigil. Problem was I got the sigil for Saturn and Jupiter mixed up and when the spell was over I could feel Jupiter laughing at me from above my head. I was so embarrassed. Luckily nothing happened.

a mistake I made was doing a deity calling spread and didn't use protection or cleanse my cards NOTHING at 2 AM, thinking I got Dionyusu wanting to work with me since signs were showing from many of the same cards kept showing up and symbols but after like 2 weeks or so of worshipping him I was feeling sick for most of it and sometimes even drained i stop and cleansed myself feeling so much better quess it was an imposter instead😅😂

I was doing a lot of protection for myself and others (someone who I think had some negative energy sent their way) , abundance for myself and others , and a sweetening (Was helping my brothers girlfriend to feel how deeply she felt about him so he should feel more secure) and now my monstera has spots and burns and 2 basils were knocked over, and an onion under my sink sprouted.
So I wouldn't say dat it's a backfire more of an omen of da spells. Lemme try 2 explain better... Monstera: first make sure u r havin proper soil drainin. Dis could lead 2 spots. Also make sure it's not gettin too much sun or sun wit water on it. Could lead 2 burns. If dis is not da case it may be an omen. Monstera is a plant of longevity and respect. Really good 4 a relationship. However it can also have a tendency 2 suffocate/smoother. Not 2 sound rude but da spell may be makin da gf feel suffocated/smothered by ur brother. She may be pickin up on his insecurities which could lead 2 him bein clingy or her feelin like he is (like da vine plant). It may be better 2 do works on it brother 4 courage, trust, and security in self. Think root chakra work. It is also good 2 keep in mind dat she may just be in his life 4 a reason or season not a lifetime. Knocked Over Basil: dis could be an omen meanin one of 2 things. 1 - da need 2 give not just take/receive. Prosperity is meant 2 be like an ecosystem a place of give and take. Prosperity includes but does not limit 2 just money. Money is linked 2 currency which like da currents of da sea both ebb and flow. 2 - it could mean da need 4 a financial tower card like situation is necessary in order 2 each prosperity. I suggest do prayer, meditation, and divination work 2 come 2 clarity. Sproutin Onion: dis could be an omen meanin dat it protection is sproutin. I gave away a whole box to a co worker as I am having incredible luck at propagating it and she was going to make tomatoe sauces. Much slower with rosemary and lavender. About the girlfriend thing. That kinda does make sense (shes worried that he thinks shes seeing him as a flight of fancy and that shes not in it for the long hall since shes like 6 years younger 19 and 25) . She wanted to do spell work and I helped. We set the intention as he would understand how much she loved him (kinda more of a share then a manipulation which I felt okay with helping her with) We also did a protection spell on her to "be unexpected by outside influences" as she was thinking that my brothers ex was sending her spiritual hate. [It's a messy situation but she kept entering her mind in anxiety and her dreams that my brother would go back to the ex] I haven't watered the monstera in a few weeks now(I do have the aerial roots in water like you would to propogate because I was curious to see what would happen (they are rooting surprisingly) ) I thought the onion sprouting meant that it had done its job, but you think that it was taking hold instead?
the last one sent me reeeeling lmao my first dive into paganism was actually deitywork with candles ( I know alot of ppl say not to go headfirst with deities when a newbie but wasn't exactly a choice more as I was guided then dove lol ) but erm, my main is greek pantheon... I've always had this... ok its beef ...yes its beef with Zeus (same reasons with poseidon too) with all his mythos of s*xual assults against women without remorse , but I have a strong connection with the weather rain and skies .. when I got into deity work he came up quite often and I was honest )eventually) that I wasn't too comfy with him tho his name still comes thru often and I wonder if there's things I can learn here as he has many epiphets ... but idk if I can overlook these things
I think you should talk with him the next time he shows up and honestly tell him that you want to move slow, and that the stories about him isn't favorable, which means that you need time to possibly trust him. He wouldn't be coming to you if he didn't have something important for you to learn. Just my honest opinion. Blessings.
I don’t have any crazy mistake stories but once I hexed several people in my bedroom (thankfully they were all either fairly successful or had no visible effect) and my (very Wiccan) sister could clearly sense it. We were on bad terms for a while after that but we worked it out and discussed hex safety and she’s even discussed the idea of us working together on a hex. We're in a coven together (she’s the coven leader, it’s just us and our other sister) and the original coven rule was 'no hexing' but ever since then it’s been updated to 'check with the coven leader before hexing that way she can approve it'.
i have done A LOT of stupid things, i started practicing at eleven. i set my hair on fire in a bath one time! once i used a plastic water bottle cap as a candle holder (i just stuck the candle in there by melting the bottom a bit) reduce reuse recycle, right? WRONG the cap caught fire, luckily i was able to stop it but GOD IT SMELT AWFUL. once i was twelve or so, i did a hex on my mom. i was broke and had absolutely nothing, so i used one of the big plastic gum containers, it ended up leaking all over my carpet, and i had the worst luck of my life. i had to take like three ritual showers to get rid of it.
At 14 I was too scared to do a LOVE spell but I did do a “love-attraction” spell and it cuckibg backfired so bad,,, he still stalks me 4 years later!!!!!
So my stupid witch mistake story was also a love spell except I wasn't a teenager when I did it. So back in 2017 it was the night of a full moon and I thought why not do a love spell. However at this point I was very new to magical practice so I'm doing the spell however I was having a hard time controlling my emotions (didn't know back then what I do now that on top of having depression anxiety and ADHD I also have traits of BPD/eupd) + at this point I had strong feelings for my straight best friend who was like a brother to me that I was completely in denial about. Anyway the spell ended up back firing on me and instead of me attracting Mr right my feelings for my straight best friend ended up becoming way stronger to the point my friendship with him ended oops

I was really sick of being the third wheel and so when my friend and the guy she was doing left to grab a takeaway, I impulsively thought I'd spice up the night by adding chilli flakes to a charcoal disc. I wanted to shake things up. At first I was like, I feel something, it must be working, then they came back in and began coughing. I'd effectively made teargas and didn't even think twice. Low key nearly killed the guy as he only had like one lung or something. I did not even think when I was doing it 🤷🏻♂ oops.

I have a mistake that just happened, but ended up actually being really cool. Yesterday night I decided to do a little spell satchel just based on my intuition that I would need for school. I did tiger's eye for concentration, hibiscus for intuition, blue violet for divination and obsidian and eggshell for protection. I placed it on my little bedside alter with no intentions of using it for any kind of dream magick- i've never even tried or looked into dream magick before. But hibiscus and blue violet are also commonly used in dream spells, and because my intention was to enhance my mind whenever i was very close to the satchel or had it on my person, i accidentally triggered a very strong lucid dream. When i looked into what the symbolism of the things i saw in my dream meant out of curiosity, i found that it corresponds almost perfectly with the new way i view my craft, and my fears about my mundane life.
TLDR: I did some really cool dream magick without meaning to in the slightest.

When I was 10 years old, I begged my mother to buy me two miniature books, one with money spells and another one with... you guessed it... love spells. My mother had a relationship at that time and I didn't like the guy, so my first spell was a "how to get rid of a bad lover" spell. Buuuut.... instead of getting rid of him... the spell made him an actual bad lover. After a year or so of screaming, beating and money problems... my mother and I left his house in a hurry one night when he wasn't home because my mom was scared of him...
So... yeah, I accidentally created the most traumatic relationship that my mother had.

We have all made mistakes on our journeys. I try to look at mistakes as learning moments and be smarter next time. When I was a baby witch, I went to the dollar store to find an offering plate. I went with a PLASTIC rectangular severing plate- mostly because it had pretty designs and the offering was for Aphroditie. I layed out a bed of geranium leaves, sliced apples and rose petals and secured 6 white taper candles around it. I put the plate on my altar and watched a few movies after doing my ritual. When I got up, I noticed the candles were burnt almost all the way down, and the plastic was melting. There were holes in the plastic, and holes burnt in my altar cloth. My Altar table was made of wood, so I'm glad I caught it b4 the table caught on fire. I learned that day! Lol

this reminded me of a time i was doing some sort of love spell, i was burning a piece of paper and for some reason decided to hold it instead of put it on a dish, i ended up getting scared and throwing it. It hit right next to my eye WHILE STILL ON FIRE and that’s how i nearly went blind. ps the spell backfired and i ended up in a long distance relationship at 12/13
I've always hated dolls and clowns AND dummies. My cousin had a doll similar to the one shown but... puppet-y. It hung from the bottom of a shelf above her bed and was the holy trinity of my nightmares.
One night, I was sleeping over and got stuck with the side of the bed right underneath the doll. I was so weirded out by it that I couldn't fall asleep until the sun rose. About 10 minutes after I managed to start sleeping, my cousin suddenly turned over in the bed and the doll FELL OFF ITS HOOK AND ONTO MY FACE. I just... I hate them.

Once when I was still in the broom closet, I did a cord cutting for a friend. I had the bright idea of setting the candles in the bathtub so that if anything went wrong, I could just turn on the faucet and douse the fire easily. What I didn’t anticipate was for it to stain and partially melt a small patch on the bottom of the tub, which I promptly had to lie to my Christian parents about and claim our cat had shit in the tub (which he sometimes did) and the stain from it wouldn’t come out. To this day there is a faint brown spot on the bottom of the tub.
This was one wild ride, especially the last one 😂
I once did a house cleansing with my sister and we accidently set her hair on fire. Luckily it went out after a few seconds. Before she was loving to make fire, but afterwards she was afraid of it.
Another thing, that happened when I just started off. When I heard about Tarot, I wanted to try it without spending lots of money on my own cards, so I used my moms, which she got gifted by her uncle. I just took them, because I was to scared to ask her, because that would lead to more questions.
I also didn't know, how you had to cleanse them, so I just cleansed them very quickly with smoke. I then wondered, why the cards, that I pulled were so messy and totally unhelpful. I tried it a few times, since I thought, that I just needed practice, but it didn't get better and led to a lot of anxiety on my side. So I stopped doing Tarot for a while. Some day I found a beautiful and fair priced Tarot Deck in a Bookstore, that I just had to buy, so I got it. The vibes very a lot better, than with my moms traditional Tarot Deck. I always prefered more artsy designs and the one I got is just perfect for me. Since I use my own cards, my pullings are a lot better and sometimes surprisingly accurate and helpful. I am so glad I invested the 25€ and gave Tarot another shot.

As a child i began having frequent fae encounters, and as a sheltered child raised Baptist, I became OBSESSED with the idea of them and started making faery houses from scratch, leaving out offerings, and teaching my friends to chant, join hands, and meditate to the idea of gaining fae sight until they could see them as well. Things were going well until one of my friends who was a bit skeptical, stepped out into my garden for a bit, only to come sprinting back inside, panting and sobbing, pale as death. She said she heard heavy, raspy breathing down near her feet, and when she looked down, she saw what she described as “a little tiny, pale human with black stringy hair looking up at her from the flower bed and hissing.” I still have no clue what we’d summoned that day, but it surely scarred her enough that she refused to come back to my House for a long time.
Ahhh! These are so awful, but so GOOD. These poor souls! And I can definitely, unfortunately, vouch for the unintentional fires! I'm terrified of fire so I'm always super gentle/careful with tealights and candles and such, but I still managed to gently blow out a candle and watch helplessly as the newly charcoal'd and still burning piece of wick flew straight out of the candle, over my dresser, smacked into my blackout curtains, and straight onto the carpet behind my dresser. I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life! Bought a candle snuffer the very next day.

The fact that I, too did an "inviting love" spell (at 14) while thinking of my crush at the time, and I'm still obsessed w him because it backfired is... Well, it says a lot about me... (I'm turning 17 soon by the way)
Omg i have a similar story. I did a really simple and 'not so serious' low key love spell on someone that i didnt even had a proper crush on, and we ended up never seeing each other again and me obsessing over them not being able to get them out of my mind for 1 year and a half. I had to do a couple of spell to undo my fck up. I recommend to do some research and bind your love spell to stop it from affecting you and harming and ask your spiritual team to help you with it. That is one of the many things i did.
Did a rebirth ritual left my plate to burn down next to the window. Heard a bang and didn’t think anything of it, stared to close out and realised it had cracked my window … still not sure how to interpret that one 😭

I missed where you asked for these stories. Fantastic and entertaining video, I'd love a series of these. I hate dolls. And clowns. I am scared of both. Clown dolls are the worst. My teacher bought me a Christmas gift after our house fire when I was 12. It was a raggedy Anne doll. It terrified me. All dolls do, but those and clowns especially. I had a spirit in the house when young that would torment me with dolls and my clown mirror. I could clairaudiently hear the spirit and he would project his voice from the mirror and move the dolls. He would scare me. I was a kid after all. As for a witchy mistake five months back I burnt a tea light candle in a small cauldron. I had been burning tealights in it. Everything was fine until I had an idea to add rose petals. They caught fire and I had a bonfire going in the cauldron. It was raging. I went to put it out with a glass of water. Water and wax, huge mistake. The fire flamed up to the ceiling. I am lucky I didn't burn the place down or my face, bending over the cauldron to see. I have been practicing since 1996. Whoops.

My biggest 'backfire' was actually a spell gone right. My first spell. I was 14, starting on my journey, and there was this cute boy in my class that I never really talked to, just found him cute. Did the spell... and it actually worked. One week later, he came to me and asked me out. I was terrified, though, and I couldn't manage to date him. He still insisted for a while, but somehow I was freaked, and I feel like I broke his heart - which is awful, considering. A classic moment of careful what you wish for. I took that as a lesson on responsibility, and began to be more mindful of power and consequences.
I’ve been a long time fan of yours so I may have mentioned this story already, but there’s an update to it if I’ve already said it.
When I was a beginner witch, I decided to do a love divination spell that was super popular on tiktok. Basically you took water in a bowl and a pink or red candle and you would pour the wax in the water to revel the letter of your romantic soulmate.
I was working with archangel Raphael at the time (yes, as a beginner, but it makes sense for me and I’d love to share my witchcraft journey with anyone so if anyone would like me to explain I’d be glad to!) so I had his candle lit along with a white vacant candle for any entity that wished to appear (I was super desperate to work with entities lol).
I did the spell and I couldn’t read the candle wax. But the white candle began to react. I used my pendulum at the time to determine that I summoned a demon through this spell. I freaked out, assuming that demons are bad and evil, and quickly cleaned up the spell and banished the demon.
Fast forward years later where I’m doing research and I learn that demons in Hellenism aren’t evil or bad but neutral. Some minor gods are seen as demons (daemons), even. So love divination spell plus demon (daemon) appearance plus the fact that all the deities I work with are in the Greek pantheon…

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like dolls. 😊 Ever since a child I never liked creepy looking dolls, I only liked those fashion dolls and baby alive but that's it, no haunted lookin dolls. I also don't like those baby dolls that move their eyes when you hold e.g if you hold them up their eyes go up.
For my "almost burn the house down story" I essentially went to light a match so that way I could light a candle on my altar (it was on a dresser). Well when I struck the match the match lit but it also broke. The lit part went behind and under the dresser and in my panic I threw the dresser over on it's front and managed to put out the match. Everything that was on top wound up in the drawers or on the bed or floor (I had my bed near the dresser). (Also not witchy related but I accidentally caught my hair on fire with a sparkler (firework) before lol). I'm a walking fire hazard lol.
Yes, I have an almost set myself on fire moment too. I haven't done any magic meddling in anyone else's business for quite a while, because every spell I've ever tried for that has always imploded so as to completely fail. It's not to be. Except for like, physical protection or defense. Or healing. Anything trying to influence anyone else's will is just a waste of time for me.

Stories like these are why I have only after 10 years of learning and basic Pagan practice am I now getting more into spells at all. Makes sense I'd avoid spells given i have ocd and the lack of control while i wouldn't have known what i was really doing freaked me the fuck out. Lol
I've long done prayers and "petitions" for protection or healing of others, but in 10 years only did one desperate spell that only partially worked (it was personal enough i won't get into details).
Recently, my practice has rekindled and begun to shift a lot and I did a real casting - planned the timing a bit, hand collected herbs and dried them at my alter for a full week, carefully planned the petition/intention to be very specific, and poured my energy into it so much I was exhausted for 2 days after.
So far so good, and it's wonderful to have learned from others experiences to be able to feel that sense of control over the working and not have that fear in the same way anymore. Videos like this are such a good teaching tool and i for one appreciate them so so much. ♥️
I ended up making myself an attachment. Like, literally made one. My energy was so low when I started my witchcraft journey that all of that energy ended up forming a "vampire" spirit (energy sucker). Yeah, I took a break for a while after that.

A couple months ago (like, march) there was this guy i jinxed (because i had a bad feeling about him even tho he was nice (but then again people can pretend)and he also really made my energy feel super drained when i was around him, i also consulted some Deities on it first before actually doing anything and the Deities i asked approved)and i used a jar so i could shake it and give him bad luck , he didn't show up anywhere for a week and i found out he was on Vacation and got sick. Then literally a week later i got sick. But on the plus side, i was right about my bad feeling from him because literally like, two months later he left the group that I'm in (it's a homeschool group) and him and the other guys had discord and the guy that left (aka the one i jinxed) kicked all of them out but he had some of his other friends in there and he forgot to kick out one of them and thought he did ig, because he (the guy that didn't get kicked out) told my sister (because their really good friends) that he (the guy who left the group) was talking shit about everybody in the group to his friends (but not about me and my sister and two other girls, but to be fair i just avoided him all the time so he didn't have anything to say about me (thank the gods)and my sister was just nice to him, she also brushed off my bad feeling that i got off him.) and i found out about it while we we're eating lunch before hanging out with everyone (our parents weren't home at the time so it was just us) and when she told me about that i literally jumped out my chair and went "I KNEW IT!! I FCKING KNEW IT!! I WAS RIGHT!!!" over and over because it felt so good to know that my bad feeling wasn't just a me thing (because when i first felt like he was a bad vibe i also sucked at socializing with men so thats why my sister brushed it off.) and til this day i am still so bewildered at how i managed to Sense his bad vibe *months* before anything even happened.

The socks one reminds me of what I used to do as a child. Around maybe 4th grade I decided I wanted to try making those little ghost lollipops that my teacher hung around the ceiling of the classroom for Halloween. They were just white tissue paper over lollipops with string around them and a face drawn on. Well, I didn’t expect have string or a lollipop. So I made due with stealing tissues out of the Kleenex box. I rolled up one tissue for the head, put another tissue over it, nah the third tissue I would roll up and use to tie the thing closed and serve as arms. Later I would draw a face. At first I was really bad at getting the arms to not rip or keep the head from being lumpy but I did get the hang of it (to the lament of my teachers due to the amount of tissues). But once o got the hang of it I got so many fellow students asking me to make them one. I made them draw the faces on if they did and only would show them how to draw them on without too much bleed on my own I would have set aside. I think I made over 100 one year in the 6th grade. It got so bad that a parent complained I was giving her child and my classmates “poppets.” To be fair, she was probably right but at the time I had no idea what they were and just explained my lollipop origin story. I did eventually curb making these and stopped giving or making them for others. I can still make them now however and have taught my nephew. He absolutely loved them and I remember making a few when I still went to daycare (I would go because my siblings still went and I was the oldest) because there was one little girl who adored my dolls. She would play house with them over playing with the actual doll toys in the classroom (I’m talking 3-4 years old). At one point I started making other handy crafts for the dollhouse and even taught myself how to add dresses to my tissue dolls. All because this little girl adored them. She didn’t even want me to draw faces on them. Her parents did thank me for my patience with her. I got the impression they thought it was weird too. Anyway, yeah I nearly forgot that memory. I should probably write it into my book as one of my childhood things I used to do (that was not the only “witchy” thing I would do as a child).
Also on the later doll one. Honestly I have more haunted dolls that is probably safe? Maybe? We keep the one malicious one with a blanket over it’s case (and yes, it has a case, I’m not going to get into that thing). But the rest get a nice place on top of my bookshelf with their own doll furniture to sit on. I also will soon be getting my late aunt’s old doll collection that I do recall has ALWAYS been haunted even when I was a child and she was still alive. So yeah, haunted dolls, not uncommon in my family. I try not to talk too much to other family members I live with about it because they don’t like to be reminded. However all of them (save that one but they do to some degree) behave after careful arranging and consideration to “who they get along with.” Yes I vibe check that because I have one that gets particularly fussy like a spoiled child if I put her too close to certain other ones. Yes I have had my dolls moved. Yes other things have moved. Yes one of them even knocked a book off my shelf to get attention. I basically treat them like toddlers to be honest. They get their space and I tell them to stay in it though and so we don’t really get issues. The worst I get is that the one that is covered likes to eat the electricity out of the closest lightbulb to it before it should be due to be changed and I have lectured it before. Usually knocks it off for a bit before doing it again. Always gives off a sulky energy in that time. Not sure it’s actually harmful. See, THAT one is in a shadow box a great great aunt made with some memorabilia from various family members at that time. Basically some medals, a feather fan, a bible….and a doll. She doll is the culprit. Whenever that shadowbox frame gets hung up and uncovered we have issues with people getting nightmares and kids crying because the room “feels weird.” But beyond that? Nothing. Now, I’m not sure if that is because the doll doesn’t care to actually try anything or if my doll loving late aunt keeps it controlled given she is a known guardian spirit of our household. I do know she sometimes touches or moves my own dolls and has been the influence behind why so many of mine have red hair (she had red hair in life, despite being Mexican in heritage, ran in the family, though skipped me). Anyway, that’s just an interesting experience I had.

I left a candle or incense in a room and wandered about with all the sense of focused direction of the ADHD I have, and I "hear" in my "clair-audience" sense, "Fire." I had been working on stronger communication with incorporated entities at the time and so its not unusual that some would be around my apartment then. But I dismissed the first warning, thinking, "It's just my brain, it's just anxiety..." But then it came back stronger until it's all I could "hear"/think: FIRE. FIRE. FIRE. BURNING. FIRE. FIRE!!!! So I went back to my room and found a piece of paper had indeed caught fire! And it was small enough I put it out immediately, but if I had ignored the warning any longer, it would have been very bad!

One time on the full moon I wanted to burn some intentions for the first time cause this person I was friends with(who was also witchy) recommended it. I didn’t have any fire safe dishes so I used this tiny steel bowl that was right next to my wall, and I was writing my intentions on a piece of paper. Once I lit it the flames got really big but I was so focused on setting my intentions I wasn’t thinking that I could possibly burn my room to the ground, I didn’t but I set my smoke alarms off so to stay out of trouble I lied and said it wasn’t me that the smoke alarms were just bugging. ( after this I quickly burnt some incense to clear my room of smoke).

Last year year my bestie (now girlfriend) and new friend went out not the forest on my pops farm when we were camping there with like- fifteen other people. We wove a flower crown and picked some flowers. We hung the crown on a mossy stump and dumped the flowers in the hole in the stump. I even did a little chant along the lines of
“Fae, protect please from any harm that may come to us as we return to camp”
Because my bestie who has physic abilities said there was something following us. That wasn’t an animal. I feel like I made a very large mistake on my part with the chant.
Fun fact: I have a haunted doll I got when I was ten. She hasn’t done anything bad yet (i mean she loves to give me headaches at random times) but when my dad touches her (my dads mum has an extremely negative attachment by the way) the energy in the house gets so negative I have to go for a walk up to my mums house (nice and positive)
Around the time of the latest solar flare (as of October the 30th 2022) and me moving her out of my room after finding out; my friend photo frame fell off her wall (somehow the glass- which is very thin- didn’t break), my stepdads walking stick holder fell off the wall (held on my sticky adhesive and six two inch screws) and some flowers fell over on the shelf at mums. What is weird it that where it is it should’ve fallen off but it fell sideways and was sitting firmly balancing on a candle. It should’ve fallen, even my physics (or was it math) savvy friend said it made zero sense how it stayed there.
I have a story of my own if you would like to use it in another video. I decided to when I was younger I wanted the gift of teleportation yikes I got the gift in the Astral no one told me how chaotic it is when you don't know what your doing. To say the least Hell's fire is way more potent in temperature than Earth's fire. From personal experience although for me eventually I got use to it. Now it's more of a mind over matter thing when I visit.

Omg when I was 15 I did a "lucky in love" spell bc all my friends were getting crushes but I wasn't. Low and behold I became absolutely enthralled with my friend who was in a relationship. So I tried to do an uncrossing to get them off my mind using the Saturn sigil. Problem was I got the sigil for Saturn and Jupiter mixed up and when the spell was over I could feel Jupiter laughing at me from above my head. I was so embarrassed. Luckily nothing happened.
this wasn’t even early on in my path which is this concerning part, but one time I was doing a cord cutting spell for a friend and my dumbass decided to put the candles on a glass plate… fast forward 20 minutes later, I hear glass shatter, and my laundry is almost on fire… the spell worked though, so that’s good i guess
pft my worst mistake was when I did my first hex at 11 and had a shadow figure feed off me and haunt me for four years
a mistake I made was doing a deity calling spread and didn't use protection or cleanse my cards NOTHING at 2 AM, thinking I got Dionyusu wanting to work with me since signs were showing from many of the same cards kept showing up and symbols but after like 2 weeks or so of worshipping him I was feeling sick for most of it and sometimes even drained i stop and cleansed myself feeling so much better quess it was an imposter instead😅😂

Can an agressive protection spell backfire?
I was doing a lot of protection for myself and others (someone who I think had some negative energy sent their way)
, abundance for myself and others , and a sweetening (Was helping my brothers girlfriend to feel how deeply she felt about him so he should feel more secure) and now my monstera has spots and burns and 2 basils were knocked over, and an onion under my sink sprouted.
So I wouldn't say dat it's a backfire more of an omen of da spells. Lemme try 2 explain better...
Monstera: first make sure u r havin proper soil drainin. Dis could lead 2 spots. Also make sure it's not gettin too much sun or sun wit water on it. Could lead 2 burns. If dis is not da case it may be an omen. Monstera is a plant of longevity and respect. Really good 4 a relationship. However it can also have a tendency 2 suffocate/smoother. Not 2 sound rude but da spell may be makin da gf feel suffocated/smothered by ur brother. She may be pickin up on his insecurities which could lead 2 him bein clingy or her feelin like he is (like da vine plant). It may be better 2 do works on it brother 4 courage, trust, and security in self. Think root chakra work. It is also good 2 keep in mind dat she may just be in his life 4 a reason or season not a lifetime.
Knocked Over Basil: dis could be an omen meanin one of 2 things. 1 - da need 2 give not just take/receive. Prosperity is meant 2 be like an ecosystem a place of give and take. Prosperity includes but does not limit 2 just money. Money is linked 2 currency which like da currents of da sea both ebb and flow. 2 - it could mean da need 4 a financial tower card like situation is necessary in order 2 each prosperity. I suggest do prayer, meditation, and divination work 2 come 2 clarity.
Sproutin Onion: dis could be an omen meanin dat it protection is sproutin. Da spell took and it spell is takin root in manifestation.

I was thinking that I had to give more with the basil too. I gave away a whole box to a co worker as I am having incredible luck at propagating it and she was going to make tomatoe sauces. Much slower with rosemary and lavender.
About the girlfriend thing. That kinda does make sense (shes worried that he thinks shes seeing him as a flight of fancy and that shes not in it for the long hall since shes like 6 years younger 19 and 25) . She wanted to do spell work and I helped. We set the intention as he would understand how much she loved him (kinda more of a share then a manipulation which I felt okay with helping her with)
We also did a protection spell on her to "be unexpected by outside influences" as she was thinking that my brothers ex was sending her spiritual hate. [It's a messy situation but she kept entering her mind in anxiety and her dreams that my brother would go back to the ex]

I think you should talk with him the next time he shows up and honestly tell him that you want to move slow, and that the stories about him isn't favorable, which means that you need time to possibly trust him. He wouldn't be coming to you if he didn't have something important for you to learn. Just my honest opinion. Blessings.

I don’t have any crazy mistake stories but once I hexed several people in my bedroom (thankfully they were all either fairly successful or had no visible effect) and my (very Wiccan) sister could clearly sense it. We were on bad terms for a while after that but we worked it out and discussed hex safety and she’s even discussed the idea of us working together on a hex. We're in a coven together (she’s the coven leader, it’s just us and our other sister) and the original coven rule was 'no hexing' but ever since then it’s been updated to 'check with the coven leader before hexing that way she can approve it'.

i have done A LOT of stupid things, i started practicing at eleven. i set my hair on fire in a bath one time! once i used a plastic water bottle cap as a candle holder (i just stuck the candle in there by melting the bottom a bit) reduce reuse recycle, right? WRONG the cap caught fire, luckily i was able to stop it but GOD IT SMELT AWFUL.
once i was twelve or so, i did a hex on my mom. i was broke and had absolutely nothing, so i used one of the big plastic gum containers, it ended up leaking all over my carpet, and i had the worst luck of my life. i had to take like three ritual showers to get rid of it.

So my stupid witch mistake story was also a love spell except I wasn't a teenager when I did it. So back in 2017 it was the night of a full moon and I thought why not do a love spell. However at this point I was very new to magical practice so I'm doing the spell however I was having a hard time controlling my emotions (didn't know back then what I do now that on top of having depression anxiety and ADHD I also have traits of BPD/eupd) + at this point I had strong feelings for my straight best friend who was like a brother to me that I was completely in denial about. Anyway the spell ended up back firing on me and instead of me attracting Mr right my feelings for my straight best friend ended up becoming way stronger to the point my friendship with him ended oops
