You shouldn’t play easy heroes. It’s going to take you hundreds if not thousands of hours to get to gm to begin with. It’s actually harder at the end to climb on stuff like junkrat, sym, bastion, or torb than it is on tracer. You should choose heroes based on how much fun you have playing them. If you want to climb it’s going to be a long grind. You won’t get anywhere playing heroes you’re bored with because you won’t have to motivation to grind. What is the main difference between a GM1 player and a D1 player? Mechanics? Positioning? Game sense? Those are all good choices, but principally the GM will almost always have more than 3-5x their hours in comp. Find whatever you’re most comfortable with clocking in hours upon hours on and stick with it. It’s better to be having fun playing genji than it is to be be bored and not engaged on soldier. You should ask yourself not what’s going to best help you beat gold players, because that’s irrelevant. Ask yourself what can I tolerate playing for 3-5 hours every day.
As a mercy main this is so real, since I'm low rank (gold) I just made an alt to play DPS since itd be too embarrassing to have an even lower rank on my main 😭
Yeah until you get over 50% WR and the forced losses through your tank being 6 divisions lower SR than the enemy tank kicks in, to put you at a steady 50%

Bro i just started playing ow2 just two days ago won the first ranked match by just following around a support dude randomly and just recking players with soldier 76. I'll probably not survive like that, so I'll learn from your videos Thanks man
Relevant until you get into the ranks where theres a bunch of smurfing widow mains that force you on sombra unless you want to keep getting 1 shotted for even peeking the enemy. I hate widow players with a passion- they deny you so much space
@@HalzeeyYT here’s my problem a plat player will dominate a gold lobby with less than ideal picks more often than not, if you want to get good fast I say solo or mainly play one hero, alternatively play whoever you want based on what’s fun, for maximum enjoyment but either one of those I think is better advice than pick whichever heroes tools are best for the job
