ISeeFurther I feel the same way now... But we can still improve! A few plants and rocks to break up lines of sight, and providing uneven terrain can go a long way in improving a tortoise enclosure. Still, outdoors always beats everything...
Hearing that number, 600... wow... I'm extremely grateful for the wonderful people working to bring these animals back and to keep them here. Wonderful video Kenan, loving these videos with the Ploughshare tortoise!
What a great video and even better comments. Glad you didn’t bash people who have financial problems. Many would have bashed them for selling turtles but you should great sympathy towards the people who struggle financially. “Help the people and the animals will benefit” best comment I’ve heard in a super long time.
I really appreciate your statement regarding the need to help the people of Madagascar. Help the people and the tortoises will be able to have a better life!
Kenan I like the passion you put into your line of work with these great animals. Its inspiring to see that kind of affection, and care you have for their well being. Its a sad shame when humanity takes a species numbers down over pure evilness and greed over currency. Us a people all over need to go the extrs mile to make sure they are all protected. Absolutely enjoy the videos on these great tortoises. Keep them coming!
What a beautiful animal , my brother John Heidecker speaks highly of you and what your doing in regards to tortoises and their well being . Keep up the great work !
I love what Eric good has done for this tortoise species he truly is an advocate for these animals. What I don’t understand is the need to ask for donations. Eric owns a restaurant and or restaurants in New York. The guy is rich.
Great video!!! My kids love all the cool info on these rare beauties and have a new found respect for them. Thanks for helping a dad show them a different side to nature and getting there attention in a fun way.

I do love turtles and tortoises and I think it's really important to keep them alive. I just want to know if they have a beneficial impact on the environments they live in.
That's just what I wanted to hear, thanks Kenan. I'm doing a report for college on Tortoise habitat loss and the fact that they benefit the environment will really help my case as to why tortoise habitat loss is such a big issue. I just got a 6 year old Greek Tortoise myself and he's super cool. Keep up the amazing work you do.
Kenan! I drove from Orlando to the Busch wildlife sanctuary last week and I have to say it was amazing!! I saw your name on the Florida panther enclosure for donating parts and labor to construct the caging :) I also loved the box turtle and gopher enclosure, do you recommend any other animal sanctuaries in Florida?
I would love to visit this place someday, but I heard it is an unlisted address and you need to know someone there to see it. It would be a dream of mine to visit it one day.
I've had this tortoise for a while now and we have everything for him and someone found him wandering along and they gave him to us we think he might be a Russian tortoise or aka horse field tortoise and his claws are long and do you have to clip them and why and also he doesn't really pick up his legs he does with his front but not really his back and he's also a little guy
why don't the people with the sanctuaries offer a reward that way the animals will go to the correct facilities and will be taking care of the way they should sometimes you have to fight fire with fire Kenan. What are your thoughts? I would love to know please respond thank you
My oldest Russian male is about 42 or 43.. He is rescue-sweetie. 😍 And I'm 41 myself. 😄 40 years with tortoises... can't live without! ❤
That is awesome! My female Russian Tortoise we have had 9 years. Last month we just got a 2 year old male.

Long live zoos and animal sanctuaries. There are nowadays the only way to keep many species alive, with their hard work and breeding programs.
