  • If you want to be a champion then you must be FAST.
That also means being able to perform at your best in qualifying. Whether in F1 or Karting, it is up to you to allow yourself to perform when the pressure is on. To perform on demand.
Here is some simple advice that may just help you. Inspired by Joe's question - Thank you.

Thanks so much for the great advice Enzo! I recently got really unlucky during a race as I was rammed off by the same driver twice. Luckily I was able to get 2nd but it felt really bad since my pace was more than a second faster than the guy who ran away in first.
Was wondering if you happen to know how to shake off a loss could really use it.

Oh yes, racing has a good way of dishing out the bad luck. I could talk a lot about this topic but for this comment just know that there are certain areas that all have to be met if you want to win. Luck (and things out of your control) is one of those areas. If you cannot change the past, then you must change the way you see it.
The most important things is, is that you were fast. You did all you could be gave yourself a chance of winning. That’s all you can do. And you will be fast again. It is annoying but in the long run if you just keep on focusing on you, then eventually life will give you some love and you will dominate. You must just stay faithful to the process, the rest is in the lap of the gods. So move on and dominate it again next time.

Hey Enzo, got my first ever pole in league racing tonight and a win. Out of the 3 sprints and 1 main race I got a win and 2x P10's because of bad luck. Just got pole by 0.013 seconds and the guy in 3rd was just 0.08 seconds behind me. Out of my 150 laps of practice at croft my pole lap was 2 tenths faster than any practice lap. The issue is I struggle with the pressure of leading from pole. In 2 laps a 1.5 second gap went to 0.3 seconds not because of mistakes but the fear of making a mistake. Any advice on handling pressure and keeping my eyes out of the mirror and going faster? Also would say 150 laps of practice is enough because I have some teammates in some leagues will do almost 1000 laps for big races? Great video Enzo.

Hi mate. Yes I will do a video on this also. It’s a common issue for drivers.

@@EnzoMucci thanks enzo. Took me over a year to handle quali pressure so hopefully I can get to grips with handling race leading pressure faster.
