I know this an old video, but I used it to help myself through putting this air intake into my truck today. I relied on this video more than the written directions. The explanation and the camera angles made this easier. All and all, installation wasn't too bad. Ive never done an air intake before and managed to get it done. The turbo inlet at the back of system was a real pain. I struggled pretty hard getting the S&B tube in there. But as for the sound, I feel like the truck sounds more like a diesel. Its a bit deeper and has a nice growl at the top of gears. Dont know enough to know about gas mileage yet, but take heed of the video and be patient with thst turbo inlet, its a beast.

Sound changes might be nice (tho personally, I like the quieter sound of the eco) but is there any gain in hp, torque or, esp, the mileage?

On a 2015 ecodiesel 3 liter with factory settings and computer ..how much cold air can be shoved into this motor ..before the computer cant adjust for the proper air ,fuel mixture to run efficiently

Was there a increase of mileage? I have the KN in the original air box and gained 2 mpg in town driving. Would the mileage increase using a different exhaust system?
We saw an increase in throttle response after installation of the box which was the major improvement overall. All trucks and driving styles are different so it is hard to quote and increase in fuel mileage. An exhaust system on this truck would be from the DPF back so it would be more for an increase in eye appeal and sound.

New to this technology if the inlet is under the hood how is it a cold air intake
Cold air intakes are supposed to pull their air from the stock box location, which on most vehicles the stock boxes are sealed and they pull their air from a fender well or the like to get a supply of cool and fresh air.
What are the reviews on this,? How's the power now
+no_ricers allowed A. So far, so good. Customer has noticed quicker turbo spool up, but the real advantage is the ease of cleaning of the filter.

I just completed my ecodiesel S&B complete cold air intake kit with wet filter, lost 6 MPG, very disappointed :^(
Richard Fiser I went with a cheaper route first, I used a drop in K&N filter and I didn’t see any difference at all, maybe delete the scr and dpf then maybe see a good mpg.
More airflow... doesnt make much sense.
did ikea design this air intake?

I did K&N drop in filter and CFT aluminum intake pipe. Did not lose any mpg, still quiet, sounds nice. Stock pipes from airbox to turbo are kinda constipated, but stock airbox is very good, imho.
I have a 2015 ecodiesel the most mpg I get is 21 mpg while I hear others get 24 and higher what can I do to get better mpg
If you are stock tires size and you don’t have anything that could be causing a parasitic loss, then I would suggest taking it to the dealer and have all the current flashes done to the truck to see if that helps your mileage.
I pull a 26 ft rv and average 18.5 pulling it. I managed 28.5mpg on a long road trip running 65 to 80 mph.
Do the GDE Hot Tune. You'll see about 25 more RWHP , 65 Ft Lbs Tq. And no more soot doing into intake. Yo will see better mpg!
New fuel filters
@@Ironsight379 I agree. I change mine with every oil change. Do it yourself. Takes 15 minutes and you won't have to pay 160 for it. Filter was 24USD at AutoZone.
