20000 rpm
It's amazing
This has to be the highest revving engine in Formula 1 history
I think Renaults engine revved higher
@@JewelzTheEmeraldGodi think it was the McLaren that was the highest revving engine.
@@icestray what makes you say that?
@@JewelzTheEmeraldGod the McLaren 2006 car sounded aggressive when upshifting and I think it rev towards 19 to 20k rpm, same as the Williams but overall, they both rev the best.
@@icestrayRenault holds the record for the highest revving engine in F1 at 20,500 rpm but yeah the Williams and McLarens did sound aggressive
0:41 the answer is YES.
I could listen to this all day
The 2006 cars had so much grip...tyre war at its peak
Seeing him hit 20 thousand rpm made my day!
That beautiful sound of 785 rampaging horses in this Cossie V8
Only 785?
@@Clangokkuner Yes
@@F1Kamel_1992 they can chop the hybrid off the V6Ts now and we'd still get more power, that would be good for F1 imo
@@Clangokkunersome reached 820HP
@@sarbakara7469 I'll be honest I prefer V6T but I'm not as weirdly militant about it as some people are so to each their own
Back when only 3 tracks per season were counter-clockwise... different times!
imagine if they didn't have the engine Freeze and 18k RPM cap in 2007.
Very nice upload with commentary
: D
Early 2000s calendar see a lack of anticlockwise circuits: Imola and Interlagos. 2005 included this track. After Singapore came in 2008 there's a lot more circuits that ran anticlockwise being added to the calendar: Abu Dhabi, Yeongam, COTA, Baku, Jeddah, Miami and now Las Vegas. F1 drivers today have more balanced neck compared to the 2000s as Brundle mentioned in this video.
Imagine the g's on the sweepers!
All noise and no torque - so different to 2022 cars.
Rather, I believe that V6s have a flat power curve because it makes no sense to open up terms of torque at more than 200 km/h, since you are far from pushing the car's traction to the limit
@@sarbakara7469 The V6s are flat mostly because of fuel flow limitations. That's why they change up at 12k rpm instead of the 15k limit - because the friction losses outweigh the power gains at higher rpm with limited fuel
@@jcooper_ The V6 has a relatively long stroke too so the mean piston speeds at 15k rpm are equivalent to 20k rpm of the V8s. Not trivial to get there.
They sounded better then mate!😡
