The pressure for all women aging is intense. I can’t imagine when so much of a deal has been placed on your appearance and your career on it, how much pressure she’s felt. Plus having a baby and being cheated on. Women have it tough.
I *love* your final takeaway - that looks aren't everything; they're merely a facet of a multi-dimensional person. Being beautiful may give you confidence and privilege, but it doesn't protect you from life's pain. It also isn't the sole determinant of a person's worth. It took me a while to understand this, and I'm glad you're spreading the word. Thank you ❤
Her nose has been worked on. Her right nostril used to be higher than her left, now they are even (left nostril was raised), and the nose looks overall thinner. Sad bc my insecurity are my uneven nostrils. I always liked that she had them too bc she is so beautiful.
Noo I am sorry you feel that way! Please know you are beautiful the way you are and you dont need to turn into a hollywood clone. Personally I try and getvwork done on my „inner beauty“, meaning I try and be kinder, more patient and helpful. I feel this will have a more positive effect on my life than obsessing over my outer beauty and comparing myself constantly.
been watching you for probably close to a decade but this series of yours recently has really help me to feel beautiful as I am despite how much space my insecurity tends to take up. so very much appreciate you and what you do Steph. thanks a bunch :)
I loved how different Emily looked before. Her Israeli family features come through strong and that is gorgeous. I really liked how many people fancied her as she had quite a different look to most other Hollywood white celebs. Now she looks like the rest of them
Zoe Kravitz looks good with hers also. I think it works for people who already really had lots of fat in their face anyway. If your face starts out very angular it makes sense to stay away from that procedure
This is what happens when your whole career is based on meeting the beauty standards of the moment. This is why people like Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Julianne Moore and Annette Benning have been able to survive. They started out as young conventionally pretty performers but had the kind of talent and made the kind of choices that allowed them to age gracefully and not HAVE to be "pretty" or young. Even Tyra Banks made sure she had a backup plan so that she did not have to stay young and "hot" in the conventional sense.
Kate Winslet is awesome. Especially when you remember how much body shaming she endured after Titanic. In the 90s, very skinny was in. Winslet had actual meat on her bones, and a rounded baby face. She did not fit the time's beauty ideal and was mercilessly fat shamed for it.
it’s so creepy how everyone eventually has the same features from plastic surgery. at least emily kept her nose. it’s stunning and goes with the rest of her features because it’s natural. i can’t understand why everyone wants to have weird, tiny, bunny noses which they heavily contour with makeup anyway.
I completely agree. The amount of nose jobs that end up giving every single woman the same fake-looking upturned nose, is just insane!! Noses show your ethnicity and heritage and left alone they will always look the best. Emily’s nose is absolutely perfect! And if she suddenly had an upturned nose it would just look soooo wrong 😑
I was homeless and my hair was bleach blonde and short and a man walked up to me and said, "you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." I believe he was being sincere by the look in his eyes. (You learn to read people when you live on the street). But I sure didn't feel beautiful being homeless though, I felt less than human. Yes, I made this about me! Stephanie is beautiful BTW!!

@@bunnyboonot4u thank you so much, actually I've been lucky and never had to experience being homeless till now in my life but I think that you don't necessarily have to go through an horrible experience to understand that it's something painful real and always present for the person who is living it, you just have to listen to them and help. I'm sure that person had good intentions by saying that but you just teached me to be more careful when talking to someone going through an hard time because even good intentions can backfire and make the person feel bad about themselves, thank you :)

She kind of does, with the long neck, big eyes and lips, small face and head, but I think she’s a beautiful ostrich. We all are unique and could be compared to another species based on our features.
What drives me absolutely insane about emrata is that in her book, she felt so real and seemed to be acutely aware and critical of the pressures she felt from social media. So to see her still give into the pressures of social media trends and cosmetic procedures makes me feel like the person that wrote “Her Body” isn’t the same person I’m seeing online, which to me, is a huge shame.
Lip filler always looks bad. It throws a person's facial balance off and un-natural big lips look more like a painful allergic reaction than something beautiful.
Personality and behaviour are more important in the long run than physical gorgeousness. At school, and at work, one learns what people are really like. The most beautiful person can have a rotten attitude and be unpleasant to be with. A less "conventionally attractive" person can be a hard worker, trustworthy, and have a sense of humour. Which of the two is the more attractive individual? Whom do people want to work with? Whom do people want to spend time with? We can't all look like celebrities (and why should we need to?), but everybody can work on developing their minds, starting a new hobby, or a new sport, volunteer work, etc. What one chooses do with one's life makes one a much more interesting person than just one's physical characteristics. ❤
Being cheated on really hits you deep into your self-esteem. I'm already really thin and I look kinda good not going to lie but it never feels enough. I wish for a bigger butt, new boobs and a new face but it's never going to solve the feeling of not being good enough. It's about accepting the good parts and not anything that has to do with looks but feeling good about who you are inside and knowing that no one else can have your personality and soul.
You have to ask yourself why you want to be 'good enough' for a man of shallow morals and a cheating pig nature. WHY? Men will fuck a hole in the wall or a handful of vaseline, ffs. They seek trophy girlfriends for ego purposes and cheat on them for more ego purposes or because they find them all interchangeable, because they aren't actually interested in the woman, just the superficial hotness. Hacking yourself into the latest fashion won't attract a good or loyal man. We're misled that beauty is the only currency, but it's only thr currency for shallow attention. Be happy with yourself and spend time on your character and you will attract better men, not ones who want a human handbag to show off to their mates, Seriously, models get treated like utter shit by the type of men who chase and date models. You do not want to live that life.
Wow, I’ve always thought she had goddess like beauty. It’s crazy to see that even she has paid for artificial alterations to her body and face. I’m glad that she has at least kept her natural nose which I think as far as noses go, is perfect and definitely suits her face. It seems like no matter how beautiful, no one wants to have unique features anymore for fear of standing out and that’s so incredibly sad. Variety is the spice of life.
@@emilynam6084whoops, mustve been preteen? didn't know! thanks for the info. but right after the forever 21 modeling she got the blurred lines video and then things started to pop for her.
She’s only 32… why does she looks so much older. Jesus my 43 year old friend look better and younger. These poor women why do they mess their face up. 😢
Storytime: My grandma and I were watching a tv series. I pointed out to my granny that the female lead has got surgery. My granny was like- "that's something you get, when you meet with an accident." I don't blame her for this notion because in Indian TV series, the lead characters usually get facial surgeries when they survive death and their face gets disfigured in the process. Or when the antagonist changes her face in order to ruin the lead character's life. Fucked up I would say. My cousin is a marine engineer. And once his ship caught fire and while trying to save his life, half of his face was burned. He & his crew were treated in Osaka. He had to get plastic surgery. He was the second person, I know, who got surgery. But now his left profile looks a bit different. It looks a bit puffed, polished and silicone type. A family friend once survived a car accident and had to get his whole face fixed by the surgeons. He can't even form expressions anymore. He always looks pissed. Now I understand why my grandma thought that this is something that is done to save your life. When I told her that today many people get surgeries she asked, "why would they do that? Now they won't look their family."
In regards to ribcage, if someone were to wear a waist trainers or corset after pregnancy (like some people do), then it can give a smaller waist. Because the joints/bones still have the movement from pregnancy. Jessica Alba is well known to have done all that.
It’s so funny tho that people talk about natural beauty, not this insta look, while using examples like Jennifer Aniston who’s had so much work, albeit subtle.
Fuck trend of getting rid of something i treasure. People still think i am much, much younger because of the buccal fat. I intend on getting older slower, thank you very much 😅
same here! I hated my round face as a teenager but have learned to appreciate it 😊 especially when I look at my mum who is in her late 50s and seems 10 years younger… makes me hopeful that I will age just like her.
The mummy returns , but in the form of Emily Ratajkowski 😂😅 Omg, why would you destroy your beautiful, natural look with these surgeries in order to look older and the same like other girls?
Hi Steph I was wondering if you could make a video about Nina Dobrev. I’ve always idealised her and wanted to look like her but she now looks a bit different than she used to and people speculate she had surgery I would just love a video about her 🩷
Nina Dobrev is our bulgarian queen😭 omfg as a bulgarian i feel sad because in eastern europe we have one of the most beautiful women in the world and even they feel the pressure of hollywood
I personally have been liberated from trying to meet any beauty standards and it is a wonderful feeling! All you have to do is look at the most wealthy and famous models in the world go thru hell to try to make themselves even prettier and they're still not happy with themselves so I just decided to skip the whole lot!
Cardi b is a prime example of this!! We all remember what she looked like on Love and HIPHOP. It’s crazy that’s she’s gotten sooooo much surgery people actually say she favors Nicki Minaj now. Crazy!
Emily has been called out for photoshopping her waist in the past. While she has a natural beautiful silhouette, her ig photos are altered. I think being cheated on clicked on her mind as an opportunity to take revenge using her looks and her job. It’s really stressful and im sad cause she’s gorgeous and also a funny lady
Stephanie, trust me, one thing women won't do is compare herself negatively to emrata. She is an example of what not to do and thanks to celebs like her people will appreciate natural beauty more.
Buccal fat removal is a very interesting trend. We are obsessed with youth and all of the beauty procedures' main goal is to look younger. But one of youth traits is rounded cheek and youthful softness in the face. When buccal fat is removed you just look a lot older and sicker. Very weird.
I don’t understand these beautiful women getting surgery that erases their ethnicity or nationality. Diversity makes us beautiful. It’s just ridiculous
And the buccal fat removal aged her quite a bit. I don't understand the trend of it, when the motive is to prevent aging, but 100% of those that have gotten the procedure look older once it's done.
I think buccal fat removal is actually okay in some instances (think a person with low body fat except chipmunk cheeks at age 30), but with Emily it was definitely a no-no since she never had much facial fat to begin with. also, she absolutely has gotten filler--you can see the lip filler "shelf" very prominently at 5:36
People often only have chubby cheeks when they are skinny if they have a jaw issue such as overbite. It’s not actually fat it’s just that the muscles are positioned differently
Emily has a memoir called my body. It is very illuminating in terms of the cost of being so beautiful most people see you as an object. Highly recommend it if this video is your type of content.
9:06 not sure if it's the case because she may just have lost muscle mass around her waist (which I doubt but her abdomen seems to look more toned so it can be) but there is surgical procedures to remove the lower ribs but it's not as popular and commented as bbls or facelifts. some people in the Guinness book with the smallest waist have done it and people say some of the Kardashians, especially Kimberly, had it done.
Growing up it always seemed like celebrities were used as inspiration for "normal" people to get a certain look, whether as harmless as a fake tan or haircut or dangerous like plastic surgery and fad diets. But now it seems like it is the Celebrities who are the ones scrambling desperately to get a certain look while us "normal" people look on with confusion.
I dont blame her.... since Kendall Jenner stole her face. Blac Chyna had to change her face too.. Kylie looked like her dating her ex- Tyga the morphing is next level.. no one should be that ambitious ; Kim over here turning into Jeff Besos girlfriend's face.
8:56 If the pictures aren’t just highly altered, it honestly looks like she got some ribs removed! I’ve actually heard of people who have gotten extreme plastic surgery doing that to give them an extremely slim, hourglass type look. Super sad if that’s the case, getting a surgery like that seems so dangerous and she is spreading such false beauty standards if she got that done and isn’t admitting to it
So many people used to tell me I looked like either Emily or Kendall circa 2015 - 2017. It was a constant thing. In 2015 a coworker showed me a video of Kendall that was unfiltered and it was so bizarre bc it really did resemble me, especially from the side profile. They have both had a lot of work done since.
I relate to the message she’s trying to put out there, but doing that at the expense of famous people and shaming isn't the way and adds to the problem. Everyone! Also, celebrities are suffering under the pressure to look a certain way and never feel like it’s enough. That’s obviously why they have so much work done. I understand that their polished, seemingly perfect and unachievable looks are hurting people's self-image, but our shaming and gossip are hurting them too. In turn, that adds more pressure for them to appear perfect and hide the treatments they had done. I wish we would end this cycle.
Can you imagine what the world would be like if we could all appreciate our natural features, and our personal unique beauty when we look in the mirror ❤
Tbh people used to say that I looked like her when she was younger and it used to give me the biggest confidence boost. Sad that she didn’t see the beauty behind her face
I really have to say I'm so bored with these "beauty trends" I'm not even sad or shocked anymore. Everywhere the same. She was so pretty and I love her nose btw! I remember when I was a teenager I fantasized about maybe doing nose surgery (I only have a slight bump on my nose and it tends to curve forward, inherited from my Sicilian father) and my sister said; Have you ever looked at paintings depicting goddesses and syrenas? They all have a nose like yours. Do you want to look like a cheap plastic doll or a goddess? That stuck with me forever... An art professor later at my university told me I can be very happy with my nose because my face is so symmetrical and rather childish, the nose gives me the right amount of edges to make my face "outstanding" Nowadys i love noses with bumps und a bit curved. On men and women, its so sexy and beatiful! Keep up the good work Stephanie ♥
With regard to the eye brows she may not of had anything done, when I was in my teens and twenties my brows set a lot lower than they do now in my 40s. I think not everyone's face ages the same. I have always looked a lot younger than I am, but have never had any work/fillers. I think having good genes can do the work for you a lot of the time.
I am just confused about the safety. The majority of these require general anesthesia, and that's no joke. Also, what about so very many procedures that go aesthetically wrong (crooked, settle wrong, deflation, functional issues, loss of nerves, loss of movement, filler migration, systemic rejection off the top of my head, I'm not a surgeon)?
I wish more people would understand that cheating is rarely ever the fault of the person who's been cheated on. It reflects much more poorly on the person who DID the said cheating. Nevertheless, her podcast has been so insightful and wonderful to listen to. I genuinely found a new respect and love for her bc she seems like a genuinely down-to-earth human being in them. I hope she realizes the impact she can have with it and regardless of what she looks like, her thoughts and ability to articulate them are make her beautiful forever
I liked how you emphasized the responsibility these beauty influencers should have. I completely agree that they should be transparent about the work they have done. Young people are particularly impressionable and are at risk for eating disorders and low self esteem. They may believe that all of that is not the product of procedures.
I know this video is already a month old-- just seeing now. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you censoring the immodest photos of Emily. It's just a mature and respectful thing to do. I don't want you to think the little details you do go unnoticed!
The woman and her ex husband did not pay rent in NYC! Look it up. They owe over 100k in back rent. Shame on her. She can afford plastic surgery, but will not pay rent?
I found you this weekend, watched several videos already and every single time you mention a surgery, how it's done.... my whole body aches. It feels good to be on the right track about plastic surgery, beauty enhancements, etc.😂
This is What happens When Your Frenemies (u don't know they R a Frenemy) So they talk u into destroying your face "BUT YOU'LL LOOK SO MUCH BETTER + YOUNGER" etc Such a Shame

@@eloisa2124 Same lol, it comes off as an insult to me. It’s always the same “you look like you’re 12” comment. Like ummm, thanks? How do you even respond to that?? 😂😭
When I was younger, like most girls, I struggled immensely with my body image. Social media influences where the main source of my dismorphia, that being said i absolutely love your videos and the message you're sharing!!
In my opinion buccal fat removal ages people SO many years! 🙃
I’m actually becoming more confident as I get older, partly thanks to these videos. I love you Steph!!
I'm so glad! xx
Don't be sad my nose is the same & I wouldn't change for the world 🤗
Stephanie Lange said she has uneven nostrils herself and she’s beautiful and i’m sure you are too.
been watching you for probably close to a decade but this series of yours recently has really help me to feel beautiful as I am despite how much space my insecurity tends to take up. so very much appreciate you and what you do Steph. thanks a bunch :)
Agreed, this buckle fat removal trend hasn't made anyone look better.. it makes them look like drugs addicts =(
I think Leah Michelle looks nice with hers.
I loved how different Emily looked before. Her Israeli family features come through strong and that is gorgeous. I really liked how many people fancied her as she had quite a different look to most other Hollywood white celebs. Now she looks like the rest of them
White people in Hollywood don't even look like White people
..
She has a Polish last name I don’t know if she is ethnically Jewish. Maybe partially
I haven’t seen one person that has had buccal fat removal that looks good. Love your honesty! P.S.Your brows look fantastic Stephanie.
Selena Gomez has had it and looks good because she had a lot of buccal fat so it’s not a crazy gaunt look on her at all
Zendaya..she didn't need the buccal fat removal, but looks great.
If you have a full or fullish face and do it in a subtle way the way Margot Robbie and (possibly) Charlize Theron did it, it actually looks good.
It looked good on Eiza Gonsalez too.
@@marvech9830 I love that she was chosen to that role because she fit to beauty standarts from Titanic era.
it’s so creepy how everyone eventually has the same features from plastic surgery. at least emily kept her nose. it’s stunning and goes with the rest of her features because it’s natural. i can’t understand why everyone wants to have weird, tiny, bunny noses which they heavily contour with makeup anyway.

I'm sure that person had good intentions by saying that but you just teached me to be more careful when talking to someone going through an hard time because even good intentions can backfire and make the person feel bad about themselves, thank you :)

Someone once said she looked like an ostrich and I've never been able to get that out of my head every time i see her. It's even more pronounced now.
She kind of does, with the long neck, big eyes and lips, small face and head, but I think she’s a beautiful ostrich. We all are unique and could be compared to another species based on our features.
😂😂😂 the way u said it
I've heard this too, and I can't unsee it. It's the overfilled lips that does it for me.
@@NSK1123 LOL I didn't know if it was common knowledge or not. Literally some person either on here or Instagram said it 😅🤣
@@Letthembelightpeaceonelove Yes, a beautiful ostrich no doubt!

You’d be surprised how unnoticeable well injected lip filler looks.
@@ES11777it can look good/ be unnoticeable when it actually suits the face if it doesn’t it looks off or like a allergic reaction
Not always, for some people it suits their face better. If done well it can look natural and subtle.
I've literally never seen anyone with lip fillers that I thought looked good with it. They always look the same. Fake plastic looking lips. Yuck.
I think it looks weird when it’s noticeably swollen which is usually a sign of overfilling
Seeing such naturally gorgeous women feel the need to plastic surgery makes me want to be less harsh on myself and appreciate my uniqueness.
What one chooses do with one's life makes one a much more interesting person
than just one's physical characteristics. ❤
I love what you said. ❤
@@amb8354 thank you so much! 🥰
This.
Most of the time the women that men cheat with aren't even thin or particularly good looking anyways.
But she did nose too…
@@mulanhei893 I think that’s just contouring. It looks the same to me though.

Storytime:
My grandma and I were watching a tv series.
And contouring is optional if someone wants a chiseled look. Buccal fat removal is irreversible…
The mummy returns , but in the form of Emily Ratajkowski 😂😅 Omg, why would you destroy your beautiful, natural look with these surgeries in order to look older and the same like other girls?
Hi Steph I was wondering if you could make a video about Nina Dobrev. I’ve always idealised her and wanted to look like her but she now looks a bit different than she used to and people speculate she had surgery I would just love a video about her 🩷
Yeah I would love if Steph made a video on her because I want her opinion
Nina Dobrev is our bulgarian queen😭 omfg as a bulgarian i feel sad because in eastern europe we have one of the most beautiful women in the world and even they feel the pressure of hollywood
The buccal fat removal looks bad because it's done at the wrong angles or is so deep that the person starts looking old and ghostly
I personally have been liberated from trying to meet any beauty standards and it is a wonderful feeling! All you have to do is look at the most wealthy and famous models in the world go thru hell to try to make themselves even prettier and they're still not happy with themselves so I just decided to skip the whole lot!
Why do I feel like they're all trying to turn into Disney villains? It's not a nice look. It's harsh and aggressive.
Cardi b is a prime example of this!! We all remember what she looked like on Love and HIPHOP. It’s crazy that’s she’s gotten sooooo much surgery people actually say she favors Nicki Minaj now. Crazy!
I just don’t get it. Do these women hate themselves that much???
Emily has been called out for photoshopping her waist in the past. While she has a natural beautiful silhouette, her ig photos are altered. I think being cheated on clicked on her mind as an opportunity to take revenge using her looks and her job. It’s really stressful and im sad cause she’s gorgeous and also a funny lady
Could you do a video on Emily Blunt? She looks so different all of a sudden but I've not seen anyone talk about it.

Your hair looks so good! Love the color change. ❤
I've been cleaning out the shed at my share house and just found the EXACT speakers from background of this vid! And the (working) turntable.
I dont blame her.... since Kendall Jenner stole her face.
Blac Chyna had to change her face too.. Kylie looked like her dating her ex- Tyga
the morphing is next level.. no one should be that ambitious ; Kim over here turning into Jeff Besos girlfriend's face.
I grew up before social media existed, and had massive body dysmorphia. I can't imagine how much worse i would have felt if we had had social media 😢
She definitely had her nose "corrected" ever so slightly. It had a bigger downward slope before, was less straight, and the bump protruded more.
8:56 If the pictures aren’t just highly altered, it honestly looks like she got some ribs removed! I’ve actually heard of people who have gotten extreme plastic surgery doing that to give them an extremely slim, hourglass type look.
Super sad if that’s the case, getting a surgery like that seems so dangerous and she is spreading such false beauty standards if she got that done and isn’t admitting to it
Ribs surgery? Omg thats insane 💀💀
THAT HAIR COLOR SUITS YOU SO WELLLL DONT CHANGE IT
So many people used to tell me I looked like either Emily or Kendall circa 2015 - 2017. It was a constant thing. In 2015 a coworker showed me a video of Kendall that was unfiltered and it was so bizarre bc it really did resemble me, especially from the side profile. They have both had a lot of work done since.
Once we all start looking like the standard, the standard will change.
Can you imagine what the world would be like if we could all appreciate our natural features, and our personal unique beauty when we look in the mirror ❤
skincare companies would go broke
i thought it was kendall when i first saw the video!! love your channel by the way🤍
Tbh people used to say that I looked like her when she was younger and it used to give me the biggest confidence boost. Sad that she didn’t see the beauty behind her face
Hollywood happend to her - too sad!! Thank you for making those brilliant videos!! ❤
Keep up the good work Stephanie ♥
i inherited a sicilian nose too. sicilian noses forever
I don't understand the buccal fat removal trend, and I'll never honestly
With regard to the eye brows she may not of had anything done, when I was in my teens and twenties my brows set a lot lower than they do now in my 40s. I think not everyone's face ages the same. I have always looked a lot younger than I am, but have never had any work/fillers. I think having good genes can do the work for you a lot of the time.
I'm so glad your back regularly-ish again -missed your guts!!
The ponytail facelift is why Emily and Kendall look the same.
YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Hi Steph! Thank you for sending a positive message with every post! You make my day!! 🥰🥰
I liked how you emphasized the responsibility these beauty influencers should have. I completely agree that they should be transparent about the work they have done. Young people are particularly impressionable and are at risk for eating disorders and low self esteem. They may believe that all of that is not the product of procedures.
This woman’s eyes are stunning.
I know this video is already a month old-- just seeing now. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you censoring the immodest photos of Emily. It's just a mature and respectful thing to do. I don't want you to think the little details you do go unnoticed!
