I loved this movie, it wasn’t a good saw movie but it was an amazing movie for gore.
Yeahhhh these traps are not on the same level at all, one you lose your tongue, the other you lose your fingers, another you have to sever your spine! Also I remember the ending not making sense, like either way Sam Jackson was going to die or the obvious answer was to kill the guy, but the police coming through the door would’ve still opened his trap idk haha
I love the Saw series, even with their faults. I find the convoluted mess enjoyable for its uniqueness and ethics, and the original is a modern class. This was ..... brutal. I agree that it was just a cop movie, not a Saw movie, or it was a fan-made Saw film that is trying too hard. I just heard there's a sequel coming. No. Nobody is asking for this. The traps were garbage. On first look they were brutal, but then you realized how they were actually crap as you realized they were a no win situation. Breaking one's spine is nearly impossible to get right without killing yourself. That's where ALL the later Saw films have failed - they forgot that the idea is you CAN survive, just maimed. They are to teach an ethics lesson, not essentially have you die no matter what or have a trap you cannot really escape.

I had my issues with the film but not as bad as most. My biggest problem was the traps. You really didn't have a chance to escape, so what's the point.I thought the last trap was pretty decent. Right away I suspected the new partner and when he took Zeke's phone the case was closed for me. I mean use a landline. Anytime someone new comes in when the killing starts, they're at the top of my list. I didn't even fall for him being skinned because you couldn't i.d. him and he didn't fit. Dude was a rookie, it didn't make sense for the killer to go after him.
Not a patch on the early Saw films for me. Just doesn't have the same gritty feeling that we know and love. Smaller budget = better Saw film - Huw.
@@UnleashTheGhouls I do agree. That's why I just watched it for the first time when I commented. I knew it was a disappointment. Still not as bad as I thought it would be. Better off if it was it's own movie and not part of the franchise.
Good only as a comedy

@@UnleashTheGhouls they must have recategorized it. Chris Rock made a mockery of Saw. His lady boss was also very bad. So over the top.
