    NotAFrenchGuy, thank you for making this video! I think that most everyone who commented on your video went through the same frustration. Again, thank you for posting this.

    Amazing video. 2017 subaru outback 3.6r limited and when I went to install the H11 LED lights I was like "these don't fit!". Thanks so much for making this video. D4S lights it is.

      I also have 17 Legacy 3.6R and I did exactly the same thing. Now I have to return the H11s and order the D4S!

    Het Thank you so much for this video. I have a 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R and I have Zenon headlights. Today I am switching over from what I thought was halogen to LED bulbs and ran into a the Zenon headlight casings for my low beam replacement. I did not have a clue what those silver cylinders and bright orange stickers were. Thanks again for the video. No one else has this video!!

      Of course, thank you for telling me my video helped you out haha, like I said, made it because I couldn’t find it anywhere else on the internet, so it took me a while to figure it out and then I just wanted to make it easier for the next person. So glad to hear I helped at least one other person!

      @@NotAFrenchGuy hello, I attempted the install today. I find there is not enough room within the housing to fit the OEM ballast. How did you solve this issue? Thanks.

    • @NotAFrenchGuy
      @NotAFrenchGuy  Рік тому +1

      @@TAOcooks Currently, I haven’t, I’ve kept the wires and ballast stored in the engine bay. But I still think the best way to solve this, is using a dremel to cut the housing a bit, just enough to feed the wires through but still stuff the majority of the wiring inside the housing, and in an area where you can still twist the back on. Then using some double side adhesive, stick the ballast that has the power converter for the LED attached, to somewhere probably underneath the housing, or maybe to the side. Anywhere that’ll keep it dry. Then just tape up the hole where the wiring is coming out to keep it as sealed as possible.

    Like you I was also surprised to find that H11 LED doesn't fit in the housing since 2017 came with D4S HID. Thank you for making this video, it clears the conception how to go about it. Could please post the LED bulb that you got.

    hey good video, but after you install new led light, are you able to close again cap heat sink?is it fit with your current led light that has additional fan and adapter?

    • @NotAFrenchGuy
      @NotAFrenchGuy  10 місяців тому

      No sadly lol, but I haven’t had any problems just kinda tuckin it away. If I cared a little bit more, I could just cut a segment of the plastic of the housing, feed the cord and the ballast through, and then close the cap

    Just to be clear, D4S for lows, are the highs still 9005?

    • @Johnny-xx6bo
      @Johnny-xx6bo 9 місяців тому

      Yes, 9005 for the high beams/DRLs. I just replace mine with SEALIGHT 9005/HB3 in my 2017 Legacy 3.6R.

      Agh.. Maybe? I only took one photo, and I see a 225G13…? something? Are you looking to just replace the Xenon bulb instead of going to LED?

    What is this? Some sort of car thing? I made pickled jalapenos and red onions instead. I don't even know what you're talking about dude, you're crazy

      @NotAFrenchGuy  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the feedback, I’ll address this in the the next video. If your LED headlights turn into pickled Jalapeños and red onions during the installation step, it might be something wrong with using the wrong burner. Can you confirm which stove top you use?
