    Incredible. Finally someone who actually knew about replacing these headlights. Great video.

    Thank you very very much. None of the other videos or even the subaru guide that came with car mentioned the differences between the changing of a HID bulb vs ‘regular’ bulb.. And my guide didn’t explain how to change a HID bulb. I don’t think that was on ‘oversight’ by Subaru. We’re lucky there are people in the community like you. That is willing to take the time to record, narrate, edit and upload a video like this. Again thank you.

    This is an amazingly well done video. Lots of info and explanations on what parts you’re removing and how. My daughter is very appreciative and it saved her soooooooo much money and time.

    Thanks very much. This was the best video to replace my subaru XV HID headlight by miles, really helpful.

    Prefect video. Enabled me to replace mine in 15 minutes myself. Thank you so much. The detailed view of the wire clips on the bulbs and installing the bulb first is what saved me. In Canada the HID bulb is a D2R on my 2017 Crosstrek. The dealer install here is about $200cdn if they use the after market bulb and the Osram bulb is $80cdn from the Napa Auto Parts. Cheers

    Thank you so much for this video!
    None of my cars ever had HID bulbs so I was completely lost when I tried to change mine. This is probably the best and most detailed video I have found on youtube.
    Thank you again! Have a great day!

    Great video, easy-peasy job. Biggest part was removing the battery to access left bulb.

      I guess You have a different configuration with the battery as my left bulb was accessible with the battery in place.

    Very helpful. My dealership wanted to charge me 370$ CAD to do the passenger side bulb. You've saved me a lot of time and money! Thank you.

    Great video. Watched like 5 others and yours was the only one that was with the HID bulbs. $150 at my local auto parts store. I can only imagine how much they would charge me at the dealership. Was able to get it done I less than 5 minutes after I got the bulb.

    Thank you for this video. Watching it convinced me to try it myself instead of taking it to the dealership. The $40 for the two HID bulbs (now one spare) was a lot better than the $350 the dealership quoted me. Took less than 2 minutes on my Legacy.

    I like your video! Nice transitions, and I love your accent. But, my Subaru lights don't look like that. Maybe because I didn't get the Xenon option. So I still have to find another video to change my bulb, but I'm finishing yours because it is so enjoyable!

      it's pretty much the same except the plug for the bulb looks different, you just pull it off, instead of twisting it off like a bayonet.

    This was perfect, I replaced both low beams on my XT. It was pretty straightforward after having watched this video a couple times. The only issue in general with replacing these is the tight space, but it can definitely be done. Thanks for making this video!

      Yes, in this case one can be ripped really badly. The job itself is so simple yet anything related to "Xenon" can cost You dearly.

    Hey from Canada! I could understand your English just fine. Looked up a video on what I was in for when I replace the bulbs on our 2015 Limited. Great video, what was the odometer at on this vehicle when replaced?

    • @FinnoUgricMachining
      @FinnoUgricMachining  2 роки тому +1

      I think it was around 100.000 kilometres then.
      In Finland the lamps must always be on when driving the car, no matter whether it is day or night. Therefore the low beam bulbs need replacement more often.

    • @FinnoUgricMachining
      @FinnoUgricMachining  2 роки тому +2

      LOL ... I did not know that there is such a thing as a K-value. I assume You are asking about the color temperature. Well, I would say that these are the daylight versions, around 4000 Kelvin. I did not choose it. It was the only one that was available and/or that I could find.

      @@jeb721 I didn’t end up buying OEM bulb because the dealer cost for the part was so high. However I think it was 3700 in the end and it looks identical.
