    Thank you SO much for this video. The instructions on the phone are worthless, and I was getting massively frustrated to the point of tears as I am not tech saavy. My printer ( which I love by the way), thanks to you, was set up and running in 15 minutes, and most of that was waiting on the printer to do its thing. You, sir, are living proof that not all heroes wear capes.❤

    Thank you! Your video is much more informative than the ones that came with the printer, which were obscure. In that video, the printer’s all black so you can’t see what’s going on. You saved me a lot of time!

    Been looking for a printer while in college and loved the overall look of it. Always thought of cameras when I heard the brand Cannon so this was out of the box for me. Looked at some cheaper HP printers but didn’t want them yo break down or have any tech issues with it while im away in college because I don’t know how to fix them myself. Seems like a good laptop with an easy setup. Great video. Keep up the good work.

    Found your channel while looking for a fix for my Canon Pixma MG7120. I’ve had it and LOVED it for 4 or 5 years. The other day I printed 20 pages with no problem. Went to print one more page and got the B200 error message. I tried a suggested soaking it in distilled water with alcohol. Soaked it all day....let it dry....luck. Next day saw where someone ran it under water till water was running clear....did that and still no luck. I’ve been shopping for a new one and can’t find one for one reason or another - price, features, bad reviews...printer shopping is the pits. Just saw your channel tonight and decided to try the Awesome tomorrow as a last resort. Then I saw your play list of unboxing, etc. and saw you just bought this TS6420 and think it looks interesting. Are you happy with it? I buy knock off inks from LD Inks...always have. Would you consider that a problem with printers? Sorry for such a long comment.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  3 роки тому +2

      Great and thank you for the comment, not long at all. I need to read more anyway. 😆 First, have you tried our reset of B200 error? Link on the bottom of message) This ts6420 is a good printer, the only thing that may be a problem now is that the 260 and 261 ink may not be so cheap from brands like LD or may not be available for a few months since the aftermarket brands have not caught up to the new ink cartridge. Canon changes ink number every few years and the new line of printers such as TS5320 TS6420 TR 7020 have the new 260 and 261 ink cartridge. LD is good and I like their brands and many other that are on ebay or Amazon. I do not see a problem with using those, but it may take a few months more before we see inexpensive aftermarket ink for these models. I honestly prefer the mg7120 type ink systems, but Canon didn't make new printers with that printhead. Maybe they will continue after consumers demand.

    6:24. Note that the paper feed tray/cassette does not slide all the way back into the printer. This confused me at first. I assume it was fully recessed into the printer initially to facilitate packaging and shipping?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  2 роки тому

      Hi. Thank you for pointing that out. The tray is extended for normal size paper. It should be extended. When you pull the tray it extends by itself. To collapse the tray, you need to press the button on the inside of the tray and push it in, then insert into printer. A collapsed tray will not be able to hold regular letter size paper.

      ua-cam.com/video/_XrLYerLUoQ/v-deo.html
      You should be able to go into printer settings and set the paper tray. Usually if you have photo paper, it will take it from the back and plain paper, it will take it from the bottom tray. See the video link above which explains it better, but it tells how to change settings from main tray to back tray. You will be able to see how to resolve the reverse option.

    I bought this printer (6420a-white) in October, and it was connected to my wifi and working great via phone/laptop printing. It seemed to get an error that the power was disconnected improperly (not), and since then, it will not wake up on its own for printing. It was in our main room, but I had to move it to our basement now, and so if I run downstairs and turn it on, it prints fine. I can't keep doing this forever. Why won't it wake up from sleep mode anymore??? I unplugged it from the wall and let it sit for a long while, and reset the wifi connection to my router via manual connection. It still won't wake up to print from any device! CANON online is worthless. I'm so over cheap printers that never last, but 2 months or less is ridiculous.

      You will need to remove paper from tray and collapse the tray by pressing the tab inside the tray. You will see it after you remove paper from tray. You will not be ablento use the printer with regular size paper if the traybis flush with the printer the way you want it.

    Why does the replacement ink cost as much as the Printer!!🤔

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  7 місяців тому +2

      That's how printer manufacturers planned it out. If you see other models that have less expensive ink or toner, the printer will cost much more. That gives some sort of balance for the manufacturer. Something to keep in mind when purchasing a printer. The cheapest printer on the market will have very expensive ink per page cost. The more expensive printer will usually have much more ink volume in each cartridge. I sometimes use aftermarket ink cartridges. Much cheaper. Risk of messing up the printer is not as high as manufacturers say. I see printers with manufacturer's ink cartridges that have same problems as printers that used aftermarket ink. In any case, I do not blame manufacturers for the marketing they do. At least they give a few options. Consumer decides if they want to pay more money now or later.
