      The back feed usually is set to only be used for photo paper, but that can be changed in the settings menu. You will need to go to your printer settings in your device that you are printing from, but first change the paper type in the printer menu like in this video I just posted for you:

    Have been primary pc user since 1995, teaching with Apple IIE to start to Mac, PCs end. I have set up 4 home printers. Best one was Canon and chose this TS6420 because of experience. Now I am sitting watching your videos to help me get this going. #1 would help me to see your set up screen; #2 your hand movements on ink install confuse if to remove all on the cartridge or only loose tags. It looks as if you are also indicating remove the other orange pieces on cartridge. I have flashing orange and blue lights as soon as language screen pops up. Never mind the comments on support, will have to call for help……..

    I've always found Canon to be very easy to connect to my wireless network, sorry some people have so many problems. Don't need the wireless app feature, but it looked very straightforward to me. Though might try it out as an easy way to access printer info and settings after watching this.

    I'm not happy that I must check out a 2"x2" screen on the printer to control what I do. My old Canons allowed me to check online on my screen for colors, testing, etc. And, I DON'T want the printer on my desk so I must get up each time to control it. Oi, new? Improved? Not yet for me! I used your video to set it up but it was painful using that tiny screen. Is it possible to view that screen on my desk top?

      @303electronics  2 роки тому

      Hi. You will need to download printer software on your PC and after you connect it wireless or using USB cord, you should be able to scan directly to your PC using software. You may search Google on your PC for "CANON TR7020 driver"

    Just got one and not happy so far. First, the back door for photos does not shut easily or very well, if it doesn’t , the paper jams, and it’s horribly difficult to unjam it. You practically have to turn it completely around or work underneath it. Also, it will not print a smaller picture on normal 8 1/2x 11 paper. It insists on the correct size paper or the print quality is very poor. All I wanted was a printer that reliably printed what I told it to print. If someone has a solution or knows what I’m doing wrong, feel free to advise me.

    Any thoughts on printing on 65lb card stock like I use for Hallmark Card Studio 2019? My old MX922 would print duplex just great from its front tray but I killed about 3 hours before concluding that I probably need to print from the rear tray and manually flip cards over with my TR7022.
    The specs for printers on card stock are really poor. They do things like say 28lb max when they mean the front tray only? Or say you can print card stock with no details on how heavy. One printer review video implied that all printers with rear trays could print card stock, but I don't think that is true after trying to decipher some Canon specs.
    I downloaded all the free Canon software, now to figure out which programs do something useful and are actually mean for this printer.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  2 роки тому

      Hi. I'm sure 65lb thickness is too thick for duplex printing. I would only use rear tray and like you said, manually flip the paper.

    • @Terry-yd2fo
      @Terry-yd2fo 2 роки тому +3

      I was finally able to duplex print 65 lb stock with Hallmark card program from rear with a driver that needs to be set to duplex flip on long side each time or it won't duplex. I lose the setting each time I use the printer for something else. I must of killed 3 hours before getting it to work accidently. The Hallmark setup was worthless. The driver displays as Canon TR7000 series.

    What app did you use to to set it up & I wasn’t aware it’s a fax machine too is that true????

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  3 роки тому

      Hi. Thank you for watching! I will attach app link below. You can use a scanner to send faxes, but it really doesn't have a fax option. You will need a special fax app from your app store, and they usually are not free to send faxes. Like, really pricey. If you need to have a fax, this printer is not a good choice. Otherwise it is a great printer with many functions and great reputation. Here's the printer app:

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  3 роки тому

      Hi. That depends on how much you use. If you want to print a lot, I recomment other printers from Canon or other manufacturers, which use the multiple ink tank cartridges. 4 or five cartridge systems. Also, EcoTank from Epson is loved by many who need a color printer. This printer here is for about 100-300 prints a month.
