Sad that she passed away so soon, and did not get time to relax with her family more. She was what many call a person who personally and business wise had it all. Looks, brains, and Desi what a combination, he was so handsome.
I was born in December 1982 and I am alllllmost 40. Amazing. Love these old clips.. She showed so much strength and class 💜
SunnyMel, I was also born in 1982! It's so great to know that she was still alive while I was still alive!
LUCY besides being comedic genius was a very shrewd businesswoman; funding the 2nd pilot of STAR TREK over ruling her board of directors...
Desilu Productions had their share of bombs too. And remember, Star Trek wasn't a hugely popular hit. It only ran three seasons.
I did love Lucy and Desi.Even though they were stars I felt they could still relate to normal people.
I miss the days when movies were "Pictures" and songs were "Numbers"
Davidson was outclassed.
She’s gorgeous! Smart & funny. I just love her.
It's sad that in today's age people are not more like her. Very few. Classy, to Fran, and very talented. Beautiful lady
Lucille Ball indeed was beautiful and attractive! She was a comedic genious! Still miss her.
Lucille Ball, Comic genius!❤️
Ironic “I thought, I have to eat, so I became a model”
I just love this woman! her candidness is so refreshing!
I always thought that Lucille Ball was gorgeous.
I have literally no idea who John Davidson is, but it's always good to see new footage of Lucy.
He was pretty well known in the 70s and 80s.
Did ya ever watch Hollywood Squares?
My father.
@@jeffw1267 It looks as if he stepped away from the mass media during the past 30 years, so that may be why I am not as familiar with his work. Lucy is kind of an American institution and her shows are still being rerun a lot even today. Davidson looks like a nice guy from what I can dig up on him online.
She was being funny not angry misleading title
Perhaps you should watch it again. She is not happy he suggested she might have gone nude in an ad. She doesn't stay angry, but she is clearly not kidding with her defiant NO!
@@StevenBarryVideos I did as in many other interviews it's her way of being funny she did not look seriously upset stop creating drama where there is none
@@DA90027 No drama creating here, Derek. Just my word choice to describe my video I posted. You are the only one who seems upset about it. If you don't like my descriptions, feel free to skip my videos.
@@StevenBarryVideos more drama from you. I like the vid but in every talk show she did 40 to 50 years ago Carson Dinah Shore etc she has that type of sense of humor if she were really upset she wouldn't have stayed there and continued to answer questions.
@@StevenBarryVideos and for the record I'm not upset I just think it's a misleading title lol I'm not getting upset over a 40 year old video😂😂😂😂😂
All these years later and you still make me laugh Lucy.
This was GREAT! He got her mad, BUT she knew it was funny, so she rolled with it. Then she gave him a kiss. Lucy wasn't a kid but she was still gorgeous and she gave him a kiss. He didn't even seem to get what had just happened. Love it.
I still adore Lucille Ball. One of the greats.
HOW could she say "I'm not that attractive!"???!!! She's always been a beautiful woman - I wonder what her standards were for "attractive"! .
Lucille Ball was definitely a stunningly beautiful woman, Especially in her early film years. Love her so much!
Lucy was a beautiful and classy lady and also so very funny!!
A kiss by Lucy is heaven!
The late great Ms. Ball.
Ive always been in awe of her beauty.
She was so funny, and witty in conversation. I never liked her much in her show, but these interviews are great.
What a wonderful, terrific woman and movie legend…
Lucille Ball in her primordial career was stunning!
I sincerely miss her💔💞💔
I don't think she was that angry as much as kinda shocked, lol.
yes, and she knew it would get a laugh
This is the lady that we have to thank for Star Trek.
And Mission Impossible
@@lindacox6010 I once met Cinnamon (Barbara Bain).
She was playing angry.
“Wow, that’s three houses you have to manage”
Lucy - “Yes” I also run a successful international media corporation which is a lot harder.
I love her so much! Man I wish I could have met her. Maybe in another life. She was so beautiful, it really shocks me that she didn't think she was stunning! I always thought she was such a uniquely beautiful woman!!
She was something.. and she raised us all though laughter ... May God rest her soul.. 🙏🏼
Back in 1988 it was still frowned upon for women to pose nude. Everyone who knows anything about Lucille Ball knows she was a beautiful model when she was young before she became an actress.
Lucille Ball had real class
An absolute monument to greatness and a generation long lost. Arguably one of the - if not the most - powerful woman ever in Hollywood. Her influence is felt every day. Lucy lives on forever.
Helping someone get a job is not the same as helping someone be successful. Excellent point!
This girl's no one to push around!
I was in the audience for one of his shows in 1981 with my parents, I would love to see it .
As a young woman Lucy looked great. Don’t know what she’s talking about. As an artist I would have loved doing drawings and paintings of her. She was beautiful.
Davidson makes us all appreciate an intelligent interviewer. But he is pretty. 🥱
Van Johnson was ogling him
Great interview
Awe yes Mrs Ball could get a look just from a facial expression. Yea if you look at a lot of the costumes back during the time she started there was very little to them, so she was comfortable with her body. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
She was strikingly beautiful in all of her movies ❤️ Surprised me that she said she wasn't, clearly she was to most who watched her movies. I liked her directness and straightforwardness. Many don't have her braveness or honesty❤️
She was a BEAUTY in her day . Stunning .
She was as sharp as a razor. It's easy to see how she became a legend.🥰
Determination, hard work, develping her skills, and willing to help others in the business+Lucille Ball.
John Davidson was a guest on Here's Lucy episode, "Lucy and the Professor."
