    Looks a lot like my first horse when I was a young girl of 14. I’m 73 now. I hope he finds a great home, thanks for saving him from the kill pen.

    Such a thoughtful evaluator. I do think he is not used to moving with that much weight. He is being careful. He seems like maybe is used to one rider and is being cautious with this big man on him.

    Why would anyone send a nine year old horse to slaughter?
    I don’t believe there are bad horses, just lazy owners who fail to patiently and properly train their horses.
    When a horse trusts the rider, they’ll do just about anything for them.
    Thank you for saving her. 🤗

    • @fortheloveofthehoof9345
      @fortheloveofthehoof9345  11 місяців тому +2

      They send horses as young as a month into the slaughter pipeline it’s all about money .
      Weather a kill buyer or horse trader picks them up it doesn’t matter an auction is not where a horse should end up :(((

      @@fortheloveofthehoof9345 I agree with you. I suppose an auction gives one last chance to the animals, rather than going straight to the slaughter house; providing someone like you is there to rescue them.
      But my problem, once again, is with the original owners; they buy or breed animals then discard the used up or undesirable ones because they don’t want to carry the expense of caring for them.
      If people want animals they should take responsibility and take care of them no matter what.

      @@patriciafarran9742 amen !
      My thoughts exactly it all starts with the original owners !!!
      If they were responsible not only in caring but training their horses so many less would be in the slaughter pipeline!!!

      Horses of all ages breed end up on the slaughter pipeline .
      No matter if a horse is bought by a kill buyer or horse trader an auction is not where a horse should end up .
      Unfortunately many don’t want to deal with the public coming to look at a horse and want a quick buck so they take a chance on the horse and put it in auction where the horse has a chance getting bought by the wrong person .
