Opossums are great until there's a mom who KEEPS having babies in your crawlspace and then her kids are wandering around your house, HISSING at you when theyre in YOUR room, and trying to BITE you when you are trying to politely toss them out your door. Hypothetically.
World's Nerdiest /World's Best Chemists - Animals that use cool chemical reactions to create explosion, lights or sounds or do any other things like the Bombardier Beetle, Angler fish or Firefly. 🦒
THANK YOU FOR THE OPOSSUM CLARIFICATION. I've tried to tell people that when they talk about possums they're usually referring to opossum's, they think I'm crazy! Not that I really care, it's just a little annoying when I whip out a cool fact they treat me like I lost my mind.
Yes a number episode and here is some ideas 🦒 World's Longest - Current or now extinct longer animals World's Sporty - Animals who have a history of playing sports or games in the wild World's Heavy Eaters - Animals who can eat large amounts of food during one day World's Best Voice (Singers) - Animals with who actually sing for different reasons World's Best Climbers - Animals who extreme levels of climbing World’s Worse Hunters - Animals who have strange, weird and bad hunting techniques World’s Best Dancers - Animals who actually dance for many reasons plus it’s fun World’s Deepest Sleepers - Animals who can sleep for extreme lengths and even staying sleep during loud noise World’s Underdogs - Animals who survive against all odds or live tough environments and just being underdogs
🦒I've watched every episode, it's almost routine now lol Suggestion: World's Most Famous! (Animals that became famous for something they did in their lifetime) Could be specifically naming individual animals or a species as a whole. Love the podcast, keep up all the amazing work you all do for conservation and education ❤ I now regularly volunteer at my local Non-Profit Cheetah and Big-Cat Sanctuary with their enrichment and hope for a future in conservation myself because of Alveus ♥
World's most unassuming/surprising: animals that excel in an area that you might not expect at first glance, e.g. the black-footed cat looks unbelievably cute but is an expert hunters🦒
I’ve decided I’m going to link everything to pigeons for every episode: Pigeons are quite silly creatures they are really social, a lot of pigeons will mess around like dogs and cats when playing with humans and make little happy sounds. So there’s your little pigeon fact for todays episode
37:45..." Maybe my standards are too high ..." 😃😂... Viewing the bower-birds a plenty in Victoria State Aust. and echidna ,bush turkey, and the lovely emu and....much more...
You could do a long episode of silliest with only birds from youtube videos. Parrot stomping around the floor making klopfs noises, cockatoo screaming into a cup, ravens using a jar lid as a snowboard etc. My submission for a silly animal is the semaphore frog.
The world's homeliest: just some little guys that typically hang out in our homes; mites, spiders, bats and cockroaches of course (can't forget some love for Barbara)
🦒 here since day 1! I love you both truly. Leaning about animals, bugs and the environment has been something I've loved since I was little and being 21 now it's so nice to have creators on UA-cam who're actively providing a way for younger kids to learn about all of it. Taking a break from the regular brain rot. Thank you both so much!
My dog once “chased” an opossum to the other side of a fence in the dark while on leash. I will never forget the look on his face when we got to the fence and I shined my flashlight on an opossum on the other side of the chainlink playing dead. I had no idea dogs could look horrified like that.
I have an opossum that visits my yard occasionally! When I first saw it, its head was half in the ground and I thought it was someone’s pet rabbit that got loose 😅
worlds spookiest: folktales and urban legends that seem scary but are based off of real animals. maybe in a way of 'debunking' the spookiness of it. (ex: mountain lions vocalizing and people thinking theres a giant monster in the woods)
Amazing episode like always! 🦒 Would love to see an episode like Most likely to wage war. This like meerkats, or slave-making ants (ant queens that go in and kill other ant queens and make the workers of the old queen into slaves), or Chimpanzees, or army ants
Hear me out: Most anthropomorphic. So this could be features or behaviors of non-primates that closely resemble humans. The main ones I think of are the Secretary Bird's 'eye makeup' and the Sheepshead teeth.
🦒 Have loved every single episode. Thank you both for creating such a casual and inviting way to learn about animals, their environments, and their impacts on us.
6:39 tbf Australia is just having their existing pandas renewed. We’ve had the current ones for like 14 years and they haven’t bred, so they’re going home and we’re getting two replacements 🥲
🦒🦒 my girlfriend and I guess the title every week and watch every Thursday or Friday! We love you guys!! Also I have an idea for an episode, how about 'Worlds Cleanest' like how the dragonfly has antibacterial wings!!
🦒 i watched every episode of worlds wildest sence the trailer came out. I love learning about animals and how crazy the world is. I also think its important to understand animals to realize how important they all are. ❤
When I head "tassled wobbegong", I knew that it would be in waters around Australia. Wobbegong means "shaggy beard" in, one of the many, Australian indigenous languages. We have towns here with very similar sounding names.
I usually end up listening to all the episodes and then watching them later...so I've double watched them all.🦒 Relatedly, I think giraffes are pretty silly with their big tongues. Anybody else watch the livestream of April the giraffe a million years ago...I had that on at work all day long
World's spookiest: the animals that are the most halloween-coded
Perfect for next week!
Id love to see this!
Hope they choose this and also wear a Halloween costume
Fingers crossed this is next weeks topic!
We really need a halloween special 🙏
Opossums are great until there's a mom who KEEPS having babies in your crawlspace and then her kids are wandering around your house, HISSING at you when theyre in YOUR room, and trying to BITE you when you are trying to politely toss them out your door. Hypothetically.
Totally fictional story i'm sure.
World's Best Builders, I wanna see some cool homes! Beaver dams, Trapdoor Spider holes, Termite mounds etc.
BOWER BIRDS?!!
Worlds flirtiest: animals with the most extravagant mating rituals
the whole episode will be birds and insects🤭🤭
That's fantastic
yeah gimme some birds
World's Nerdiest /World's Best Chemists - Animals that use cool chemical reactions to create explosion, lights or sounds or do any other things like the Bombardier Beetle, Angler fish or Firefly. 🦒
"Thank you for the uranium. Here are your pandas."
World Laziest: animals who do the bare minimum to survive, yet its a miracle they still survive.
Connor once again being unhinged by thinking birds impaling other animals is ✨silly✨
World's most wanted: the animals who have broken the Geneva Convention the most (like meerkats! :D)
World's Most inebriated - creatures that have behavior involving intoxicating substances
Yes a number episode and here is some ideas 🦒
World's Longest - Current or now extinct longer animals
World's Sporty - Animals who have a history of playing sports or games in the wild
World's Heavy Eaters - Animals who can eat large amounts of food during one day
World's Best Voice (Singers) - Animals with who actually sing for different reasons
World's Best Climbers - Animals who extreme levels of climbing
World’s Worse Hunters - Animals who have strange, weird and bad hunting techniques
World’s Best Dancers - Animals who actually dance for many reasons plus it’s fun
World’s Deepest Sleepers - Animals who can sleep for extreme lengths and even staying sleep during loud noise
World’s Underdogs - Animals who survive against all odds or live tough environments and just being underdogs
I feel like Connor might have a small sidequest for how far he can push the prompt. Which I am all here for, go wild.
🦒I've watched every episode, it's almost routine now lol

Please tell me you guys will be putting on a costume for the Halloween episode next week
Perhaps :)
World's most unassuming/surprising: animals that excel in an area that you might not expect at first glance, e.g. the black-footed cat looks unbelievably cute but is an expert hunters🦒
world's best buds would also be so fun to hear about! I always love seeing animals that team up!🦒
🦒 Migrated from the audio feed to youtube to watch the cute animal pictures.
🐪 ive watched most episodes but not sure if ive seen them all so ill just put this confused camel that thinks its a giraffe.
World’s freakiest! Weird mating behavior, dimorphism, and magpie season! 🦒
Thank you for being my comfort podcast. Love you and alveus 🫶🦒
Worlds brightest: animals or bugs etc. that give a nice light.

I have also suggested this one a few times.
Now I'm suggesting an episode about conservation success stories! Something like elephant seals.
World's most overpowerd. Also, I ran as soon as I got the notification. 😂🎉 Loved the silly little episode. 🦒
The definitions of silliest have so different concepts from Connor to Maya
Many a time have I watched videos of silly pandas to cheer myself up. Pandas are a gift to the world.
I had no clue about panda's being that light, 300 pounds for a bear sounds so light to me.
im pretty sure I've watched every ep, I love learning and Maya & Connor make it easy and entertaining
The reason Pandas keep coming and going was very interesting. Great show
I have not skipped a single episode, it is such a treat and a joy to listen to! 🦒
My dog once “chased” an opossum to the other side of a fence in the dark while on leash. I will never forget the look on his face when we got to the fence and I shined my flashlight on an opossum on the other side of the chainlink playing dead. I had no idea dogs could look horrified like that.
heyy :D i loove your podcast, i never miss one, also so cool that you came to Scotland.
I have an opossum that visits my yard occasionally! When I first saw it, its head was half in the ground and I thought it was someone’s pet rabbit that got loose 😅
The shark at 31:55 looks like Old Gregg
Have you ever drank Bailey's from a shoe?
🦒Been here since episode 1!
worlds spookiest: folktales and urban legends that seem scary but are based off of real animals. maybe in a way of 'debunking' the spookiness of it. (ex: mountain lions vocalizing and people thinking theres a giant monster in the woods)

Merch Idea! "Panda's for Land rovers" and have a Panda and a buddy driving them. Or too obscure?
Love the loggerhead shrike mention. Studied them in college and they’re so cool, even got a tattoo for em
I would love to see world most invasive, and how to prevent things being invasive
Hear me out: Most anthropomorphic. So this could be features or behaviors of non-primates that closely resemble humans. The main ones I think of are the Secretary Bird's 'eye makeup' and the Sheepshead teeth.
This is genuinely the only podcast that I have tuned in to every single episode. I love Maya and Connor! 🦒
🦒 Have loved every single episode. Thank you both for creating such a casual and inviting way to learn about animals, their environments, and their impacts on us.
Learn something new every week! Thanks Maya and Connor! 🦒
15:20 this felt like when two girls are giving mean complements to each other and maya just was not prepared
35:38 THAT WAS SUCH A GENUINE "NOO" I CAN'T- 🦒
World's Most Baked: Animals that seek out substances to get high
I love Shrikes, especially because they inspired such a beautiful song from Hozier
Also 🦒
You guys are one of the two podcasts I keep up on and look forward to every week🦒
I think the Weasel War Dance deserves a mention, it's probably one of the sillier hunting techniques there is ...
YEAHHH OPOSSUMS!! i was eagerly awaiting their debut ❤
🦒 Never miss an episode and always makes work more fun!
World's giraffiest: animals featured in evolutionary misconceptions (like giraffes and Lamarckian evolution)
World's wildest oddest edition, animals/plants that are categories that don't seem to make sense at first. For example, platypuses being mammals
World’s most creative: animals that make beautiful/complex things
Maya's side-eyeing Conor at the end when he's describing the mu rder shrike's behavior as silly cracked me up - totally justified too
been here since it’s launch and i recommend to anyone asking for a pod
i love it so much ❤ 🦒🦒🦒
This is my favorite podcast everrrr I wish the eps were 2 hours long 🦒💛
18:20 gosh, imagine getting so scared by a scary movie that you collapse, lock up, and fart continuously for 2 hours
24:22 It looks like a troll doll and I lub him uWu ❤
love how goofy connor’s last example was! very silly 🦒
🦒love this series! i've seen every episode and i'll be on the lookout for the next! keep up the great work, folks!!
I always love listinging to the podcast and then sharing my silly little facts with others, also inspired myself to study more animals :3 🦒
Worlds flashiest: interpret as you please.
🦒yippee i'm so happy this podcast is thriving it's my favorite thing rn and i was so excited when you first mentioned it on stream
She said it months ago and she is right. This is my new favourite podcast.
This was such a fun episode, I love goofy animals
World's fluffiest/fuzziest would be adorable
🦒 I'm not a podcast person but i subscribed since episode one on Spotify. It's such a nice format of learning and entertainment
🦒 i watched every episode of worlds wildest sence the trailer came out. I love learning about animals and how crazy the world is. I also think its important to understand animals to realize how important they all are. ❤
World’s most likely to get a degree
(Animals that do things that you could probably get a degree for. Ex. Dung beetles for agriculture)
My mom use to tell me about slow loris and how people got them as pet and took their teeth out :( She always wanted to keep me aware and responsible
Lacewing eggs are so cool looking too! I found some on one of my houseplants once
Hey Connor, if bugs are growing on you then you might want to get that checked out!!
🦒I’m so happy y’all are making this podcast!!!
The pandas from Edinburgh have gone home . They were very shy and not the easiest to view.
Edinburgh mentioned and pronounced correctly! Woohoo🦒!!
🦒 been here since the beginning after Julien did a stream with you! I’ve now been inspired to apply for a job at the conservation center!!
This might be my favorite podcast ❤
Well Halloween is coming or it is already. Lets do worlds Spookiest. Why not.
When I head "tassled wobbegong", I knew that it would be in waters around Australia. Wobbegong means "shaggy beard" in, one of the many, Australian indigenous languages. We have towns here with very similar sounding names.
🦒 I cannot imagine a slow loris fighting, omg...
🦒I love this podcast and you guys make it so fun to listen too random animal facts
I whole heartedly agree with maya, there is no way shrikes are considered "silly" maybe terms like "cool" or "brutal" fits those birds better XD🦒
🦒 I love your podcast and your work! keep it going!
Worlds weirdest way to generate noise (like tracheae, legs)
🦒
My fiancé and I watch every episode. I’m learning so much but also having a good time. 10/10
World's HUNGRIEST: the guys that love a snack
🦒World's highest (not tallest), if you know what I mean. -Animals that get off their rockers.
I love Cockchafers! They do tend to hit windows a lot and scare the poop out of me.
I really enjoy this podcast!😊🦒
Worlds most famous: animal who have gained new or old fame
I usually end up listening to all the episodes and then watching them later...so I've double watched them all.🦒 Relatedly, I think giraffes are pretty silly with their big tongues. Anybody else watch the livestream of April the giraffe a million years ago...I had that on at work all day long
