You know, as a fan of the Teen Titans TV series, I've often felt that the show's version of Terra was a blend of the various comic incarnations of the character. She starts out as a hero like Terra 2, then snaps and becomes more like the original Terra from the Judas Contract storyline. Not sure what to make of her later redemption, though.

yes! GeoForce appeared in the comics and confirmed the school girl was Terra. I think she had amnesia. After raven defeated trigon, her azareth metrion zinthos freed her from stone but she lost her memory.

Slade (Deathstroke) in the show, does send in Terra to spy on the TT, and Raven does not like her in the show as well. For the record. The Terra in the show is suppose to be the first Terra, I believe.

An interesting bit about Terra is that Marv Wolfman & George Perez created Terra around the same time that Mike Barr and Jim Aparo were creating the first team of Outsiders. Supposedly when Wolfman and Barr discovered that they had both created characters with earth-moving powers, they decided to collaborate, make Terra and Geo-Force siblings with similar costumes as well as powers.
I read the Judas Contract when I was 14 or 15, so a few centuries ago. I still remember how sad I was when she died, even though Perez and Wolfman were candidly open about her total psychotic nature. For me, there will only be one Terra.
i love to see a original story of her haveing a happyer story im a sucker for bad ppl getting a role that thay can be a good guy, it all come down to thay were made to be the bad guy for the sake of the story of the main hero, so i like some bad guy have a nicer story. sry about spilling
I want nothing more than to start working my way through every comic book in the DC and Marvel universe and catch up with all the super heroes and villains in real time, but girl I got priorities and watching this video just added to my already developed idea that comic books are too complicated to keep up with, but if anyone has a good system in which I can read all the comics, I would be delighted to hear it.

Mainly, though, you have to keep in mind that you'd need to be a near-billionaire to be able to read every comic published by DC and Marvel since 1935, and even that much money would never buy you the time it would take.
That twas his original costume design, in the old comics. It was hilarious and flamboyant, but they all sort of were back then. My favourite one of his, is actually not the current one (Because New 52 made it red, which pisses me off because his favourite colour is blue, and used it to differentiate himself from the other robins, who all use red) But it is the same design except his symbol is blue. Sorry that comment was so wrong. It is just that the Robins are my favourite. I get way to into talking about them.x3

Yeah I think of the first Terra when she is mentioned. And I am with you the cartoon Terra is nothing like the comics. Whenever I talk about the comic version ,my friends say " she never did that in the show," it is so annoying.
I like the idea of Terra having straight-up viallainous origins, then maybe learning to be a better person, putti g her more along the lines of anit-hero. But she's still extremely dangerous and has a lot of blood on her hands. I say this because in my mind, I condense multiple versions of the same character into one character, because the comics are confusing. Example: the first Robin became Nightwing, I simply imagine that Supergirl became Power Girl. It simplifies things for me, even though it's incorrect. I heard the the Teen Titans Go Terra is like this, and honestly, I like that.

There is one thing of note about Terra I found interesting. When she was created she was meant to be a parody of Kitty Pryde. That's why she was written to be a snake in the grass, She was meant to mock Kitty's bubbly, loyal personality . There is a book called "The Supergirls" by Mike Madrid that talks about this at length.

yeah youd be surprised on teen titans go they make more refrence to the comics to the point they literally took a page out of the old all new teen titans comic book allowing everyone who had watched to know what the titans really looked like in the comics everyone except raven

Also, if you look in the background of certain episodes of TTG, you can see Etrigan, Zatanna, Darkseid, and Brother Blood in Raven's room, Starefire has Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Super Man stuffed animals, they made references to Alfred, Barbara Gordon, and Jason Todd's death in the Sidekick ep, and so many other nods to the comics they are based on. With that in mind, I prefer TTG over the New 52 simply because it's closer to Marv Wolfman andGeorge Perez's storytelling (which is sad, but I'm not a fan of Lobdell's writing). Comics are expensive and it's annoying to spend so much emotional investment on a comic series only for DC to retcon it.

stelex13 I heard, and I will definitely give it a chance. The writer, Will Pfeifer, said the only characters in the beginning will be Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Raven, Bunker, and Beast Boy. I'm not sure how it will work out, but I don't think Cyborg and Starfire will be in it as they are in the Justice League and Red Hood and the Outlaws. And Deathstroke killed Terra in the Ravagers. I've never been a Terra fan because I just look at her I think, "Judas had the decency to return the money and hang himself after his betrayal" Out of all of the original Titans, she had the best upbringings, and she turned evil. Makes me admire characters like Jericho and Raven more. His father's a mercenary and her father is an interdimensional demon; and they go on and fight for justice.
Harryginny Caskett In fact Terra was not killed in Ravagers... Deathstroke hit her with the Abeo Blade, which was a teleportation device that sent her and the other Ravagers (except Beast Boy) to the Colony. Also she appeared in Deathstroke's series in New 52 after it. With the end of Deathstroke series, it is unknown where she is but she is definately not dead. So she can make an appearence in the Pfeifer's Teen Titans.

You are so right, the Judas Contract, and Marv Wolfman and George Perez, just the Terra and the Titans in general, had some of the best stories, then the new 52 happened and The Titans got hit the hardest. However now there's a new Terra and she doesn't seem all bad, but then she disappears, wonder where she is?

I think they see what's working and not working now, because now they've got something cooked up called Convergence for next year and it looks like it has all the timelines put together, and of course Marvel had to copy too, with their 3rd or 4th Secret Wars, but they are showing characters I haven't seen in a while, my favorites for however long, the old JSA, Infinity Inc, and hopefully Cassandra Cain and Donna Troy somewhere in there, and the original Wally West. I just love the pre 52 so much more.

That guy who does stuff I did watch that and it does look interesting and fun for once. I hope something comes of it, something that will sticks around in the new 52. I was hoping the pre 52 would become the latest earth 2, or they could throw some old elements back in the new 52 for a soft reboot so they can fix some of those costumes (Raven) and bring back the legacies that made DC stand out from the rest (Titans history, JSA). Also they can feel free to add on the characters they had the last few years, like the new Aqualad, Renee Montoya/Question, Miss Martian, Cassie and Steph to name a few. Those were strong young characters that were very popular and fairly new, so I don't get why after 3 plus years we haven't seen at least a couple of those aforementioned characters, maybe some red tape involved or royalties or something. Either way, Convergence could be bigger than I thought it was, and I look forward to the implications of what this could mean for long time fans, fingers and toes are crossed;)

She actually was a princess & has the same but altered origin in the Teen Titans show. She just wasn't a bitch & didn't have a sexual relationship with Slade & wasn't a sociopath. It's in the Teen Titans GO comics (not the new & current show's comics, the original 2000's show comics that continued after it ended)
I like your name Faust. Reminds me of Faust VIII from Shaman King, who's supposed to be descended from the Faust who supposedly sold his soul to Mephisto for power. Faust VIII was a much nicer, if not incredibly creepy, guy. He ended up removing his own leg bones when the leg bones of his deceased wife's skeleton were destroyed in a battle (makes sense in context, but still creepy and somewhat insane in context as well).

In Things Change, Terra just wants to forget the Titans and Beast Boy because she felt she betrayed them. A wise Slade once said, paraphrased, "I had nothing to do with it... Maybe she doesn't want to remember..." All in all, she felt guilty. I mean, if you had told the person you loved that you worked with a terrorist group that was working to kill him, then betrayed the group, wouldn't you feel guilty about that?
oh shit actually this clears some things up with the terra from the show too, terra keeps getting cloned after she dies and she dies in the cartoon... it may be safe to assume schoolgirl terras a clone based on the storylines in the comics

I've never been a Terra fan because I just look at her I think, "Judas had the decency to return the money and hang himself after his betrayal" Out of all of the original Titans, she had the best upbringings, and she turned evil. Makes me admire characters like Jericho and Raven more. His father's a mercenary and her father is an interdimensional demon; and they go on and fight for justice.
Harryginny Caskett In fact Terra was not killed in Ravagers... Deathstroke hit her with the Abeo Blade, which was a teleportation device that sent her and the other Ravagers (except Beast Boy) to the Colony. Also she appeared in Deathstroke's series in New 52 after it. With the end of Deathstroke series, it is unknown where she is but she is definately not dead. So she can make an appearence in the Pfeifer's Teen Titans.

You are so right, the Judas Contract, and Marv Wolfman and George Perez, just the Terra and the Titans in general, had some of the best stories, then the new 52 happened and The Titans got hit the hardest. However now there's a new Terra and she doesn't seem all bad, but then she disappears, wonder where she is?

I think they see what's working and not working now, because now they've got something cooked up called Convergence for next year and it looks like it has all the timelines put together, and of course Marvel had to copy too, with their 3rd or 4th Secret Wars, but they are showing characters I haven't seen in a while, my favorites for however long, the old JSA, Infinity Inc, and hopefully Cassandra Cain and Donna Troy somewhere in there, and the original Wally West. I just love the pre 52 so much more.

That guy who does stuff I did watch that and it does look interesting and fun for once. I hope something comes of it, something that will sticks around in the new 52. I was hoping the pre 52 would become the latest earth 2, or they could throw some old elements back in the new 52 for a soft reboot so they can fix some of those costumes (Raven) and bring back the legacies that made DC stand out from the rest (Titans history, JSA). Also they can feel free to add on the characters they had the last few years, like the new Aqualad, Renee Montoya/Question, Miss Martian, Cassie and Steph to name a few. Those were strong young characters that were very popular and fairly new, so I don't get why after 3 plus years we haven't seen at least a couple of those aforementioned characters, maybe some red tape involved or royalties or something. Either way, Convergence could be bigger than I thought it was, and I look forward to the implications of what this could mean for long time fans, fingers and toes are crossed;)

She actually was a princess & has the same but altered origin in the Teen Titans show. She just wasn't a bitch & didn't have a sexual relationship with Slade & wasn't a sociopath. It's in the Teen Titans GO comics (not the new & current show's comics, the original 2000's show comics that continued after it ended)

I like your name Faust. Reminds me of Faust VIII from Shaman King, who's supposed to be descended from the Faust who supposedly sold his soul to Mephisto for power. Faust VIII was a much nicer, if not incredibly creepy, guy. He ended up removing his own leg bones when the leg bones of his deceased wife's skeleton were destroyed in a battle (makes sense in context, but still creepy and somewhat insane in context as well).

In Things Change, Terra just wants to forget the Titans and Beast Boy because she felt she betrayed them. A wise Slade once said, paraphrased, "I had nothing to do with it... Maybe she doesn't want to remember..." All in all, she felt guilty. I mean, if you had told the person you loved that you worked with a terrorist group that was working to kill him, then betrayed the group, wouldn't you feel guilty about that?
oh shit actually this clears some things up with the terra from the show too, terra keeps getting cloned after she dies and she dies in the cartoon... it may be safe to assume schoolgirl terras a clone based on the storylines in the comics

I really liked the original Terra. Her and Starfire were my favorite Teen Titans as a kid.
