Bolide is great for seeing if your healer is actually paying attention.
Early in Endwalker, Double Down was very difficult to plan around because Bloodfest didn't follow the 2 minute CD rotation. This means you always were thinking entire rotations ahead on how much ammo you had to save up. It was fun but also very aggravating, so I'm kind of glad they found a healthy middle.
Loving gunbreaker so far in dawntrail it has become my replacement for dark knight since shb. The only thing I would wish for is a 1 min cooldown on bloodfest and it would be perfect.

Gunbreaker main here, yeah its a pretty epic job. I just enjoy making big explosions and all of the continuation moves. Been using it since I was able to unlock it, and haven’t looked back at Paladin (I started ffxiv with Gladiator) since. Popping Heart of Corundum before a Tankbuster or just pulling is great and it helps keep the heat off the healer. I rarely use Superbolide, but if the party wipes and im the only one alive, or a pretty crazy attack is about to hit and my health is low enough, I pop it. Makes me feel badass. Finally, this was the first job I got to 90 and 100, and the only job I got a relic weapon for. (Blade’s Resolve)
Lol it’s funny I recently started playing paladin after leaving it behind for gun breaker, and I find the Paladin is really good for keeping the team alive as long as you have a lot of magic saved up, you can basically bring the all dps back too full hp, and even yourself with clemency. While I like heart of corundum, as well Aurora in tandem it’s really solid, I can really milk mana in a 1-2 combo and basically take over if the healer kicks it. Although the 1-2 combo keeps the tank alive, if mitigation skills are used properly you can survive most encounters with epic timing, though I’m sure Gunbreaker has slightly more self sustainability, and dps, it’s not as friendly of a healer, and if my teams White mage dies a quarter or half way through the fight. I know me and the boys will make it with Clemency and Hallowed ground. Easy too tank when you have full hp lol.

Honestly, i love gnb much more now. Now we just need reload for downtime and we will be good
Lol I get the love as a Gunblade for over 2 years of tank time, I’ve recently been picking up the two other tanks, and really I enjoy all of them, on one hand Gunblade is by far the most “stringy” of all tank classes needing to rely on decent rotations to maximize damage output, and I really appreciate how simple the Paladin is, by far the most boring class up too 50, then around 60-70 I’ve been saving dungeons with clemency. Lol the dark knight is just really cool, and slightly demanding in its in living dead having you need to gain all Hp back before death. Either way all classes are great. While I can admit the love for Gunblade? I don’t know why people find super bolide that great, just give me Hallowed ground and I’m a happy man. Lol why would I need to rely on the healer when I am the healer playing paladin is a refreshing change of pace.
Man i had no idea the Lion Heart combo looked so good on taller reces, on lala they just snap you to the ground after the animation finishes and it looks akward as hell
GNB is my main job, so when I get back, I'll definitely be trying out its new gameplay.
I literally Mained GNB since I got to Shadowbringers.
I still play it, and my god it became so much better since then, though with changes to other jobs possibly it's because some of them weren't really that great.
It’s fun but if the damage with other tanks are close then people will go warrior mainly cause easy and simple.
I've leveled all tanks War is satisfying but Gnb is my favorite now like you said with the fights being chaotic it makes gnb feel even better. For changes its not a gnb thing but a quality of life thing for all jobs and this really only effect controller players but im on ps5 and if thay put an option in to have our 123 amd 12 rotation on 1 button like gnashing fang is it would make things more comfortable for the people that want it, and those that don't can keep there buttons the same. I've tried macros for this but they aren't that good.
The only one of the two meta tanks that deserves to be meta.
Watching double down be used out of no mercy hurt me so

I main Gnb since I unlocked it and can confirm superbolide is so much fun to troll the healer with 😂😂😂

Got dark to 80 to get my simulacrum … liked it but I’m pressing the same buttons just different animation on the new delirium combo
So I’m leveling gunbreaker to 80 now. Until they fix dk resources
