I have a 93 it has the mustache and the gray blue interior my seats are a split material with the fake leather on the top half of the backs but I am jealous of your brown dash.
The nice thing is, i have a daihatsu hijet AND a daihatsu Unijet, i never found anything about the unijet, but it’s basically a hijet with rwd, and PFAU is written on the front
Great review. To the point with some great information. It is a shame that more vehicles like this do not find their way to the US. I guess people here are to stuck on behemoth sized monstrosities so they can show off how important they are. I would rather have something that is fuel efficient and practical.
Thank you for the information. I am exploring a Kei Truck vs a UTV thinking warm cab in deer hunting season. Boeki looks Amazing great collection of trucks, vans, and cars. Love the Nissan Skyline (think Paul Walker owns one) and Fairlady, and the Nissan President or Toyota Crown.
@@Waybeforethefame Like your Kei Truck (don't need a dump truck but amazing engine access), the Kei cars Honda Beat, Nissan Figaro, Suzuki Cappucino, and Vans. Fav would be the Suz Jimny, Mitsu Pajero, Toyo HIlux.
@@Waybeforethefame story on the differences in mini-trucks. Prefer Honda Acty attack, but Carry, Sambar, Minicab. Which offers lock differential, 4wd low, read Suzuki carries more aftermarket parts, and where to get Tires (trailer tires) but options.
The engine being under the seat is the reason I will not get one. I love it, love the looks, I drive very little, only places close to home so I wanted one but I don't like that engine location at all. I feel it's unsafe, and all the other problems: noise, heat, etc. Oh well. Glad I have YT videos to help me think things up.

@@Waybeforethefame I got a 92 4x4. Here's a tip pioneer mv-series head units bolt right up and give you a phone app that gives you a mph speedometer, a compass heads up radio controls and alexa. It bangs like a pontoon boat.
Just an FYI. The cutouts for the 4-inch speakers are in the metal of the door, and there is an outline in the door panels. Easy install.
i was thinking about doing that but i want an oem look and idk what u could put over the speaker to keep the door panel flush

My favorite thing is that it's the opposite of all American trucks today. It's small, light, 5 speed, and gets 35Mph. No American truck can beat that.

how did you end up insulating the underside of your seat?
i used the dame sound deadening on my other video, made a difference with sound and heat for the hijet
