Not entirely true. Criminal sociologists have conducted proxy research to determine how often people get away with crime. They essentially interview people involved in criminal organizations to determine how many of their counterparts, bosses, etc. Got away with their crimes. Because the research is confidential there's less risk of being labelled as a "rat" or otherwise having mistrust contaminate the relationship. This obviously only applies to those who worked with others and the results are inferential at best, which is why I say it's only partially true - but there is partial data on certain populations of criminals who avoid getting caught. The number of people who avoid punishment is of particular interest for sociological research as avoiding punishment seems to be a greater predictor of future crime/risk than the deterrent effect of getting caught. Thus, criminal sanctions can promote crimes in many cases by making those who don't get caught believe they are at lower risk. I'm not saying they've specifically studied people who have successfully faked their deaths, but that the data that has been gathered has at least some predictive validity to infer a percentile range that getting away with this likely occurs within. Hi 👋 I am from the Philippines. I think Jaybee Sebastian case is like faking criminal death too
I’ve heard the rapper Nipsey hussle was over there at some point I know he faked his death but have u seen him
in south korea a famous real estate scammer (identity not published in mainstream media) who owns hundreds of millions of dollars worth of real estate just randomly 'died' recently.
Celebrities and elite do this all the time 🙄🙄
MJ
@@rvansteensel420 Kobe
Elvis
@@5vs1ngh0 Definitely not.🤨🤨😂😂😂
@@5vs1ngh0 you right Kobe and Nipsey hussle. Kobe added all those people paid them off to make it believable, nipsey gets shot 12 times and no blood then have stories of him being dead weeks prior to it lol
I feel like this chick is super low par compared to some vice articles I’ve watched before. The monotone voice just makes my teeth grit.
Thanks for the tips.
I wanna do a bondage, fifty shades of Grey with the anchor
Is amado carrillo fuentes still alive??
My mans Rodney Wheeler had a bullet club shirt on
Im sorry but watching this lady talk over content is actually awful. Vice was better with absolutely minimal reporter interaction and less bias.
seriously its like im watching a high schoolers report or listening to their powerpoint.
With technology today it would be almost impossible to disappear.
The love of money is the root of all evil 😈
Power
Not really. It’s a symptom sometimes.
The root of most evil is fear, but there are also just sadists, and apathetic people greedy for power
@Denis Bajic Tako je sine.
@@raftopher2911 damn you really thought you did something here.
@@investigate311comittee thanks bruv. I do that a lot.
Pretty obvious though. There was evil before money, so impossible to be the root.
He looks like a grown up big baby
How do you report a fake death
You don't
Amado carillo got away with it
I was waiting to hear about 2pac or Assata Shakur on this one.. 😁😇
Or even maybe N. Machiavelli
Its crazy how he got away wirh it for as long as he did
I lowkey feel like epstein faked his death 👀
nice seeing west virginia on here
I think Amado Carrillo Fuentes still alive
El Lazca is
I try to tell so many people about VICE. They don't kno what they're missing
Marcus Schrenker’s case was really interesting
My moms xboyfriend had a plan like he would get 1 person he could trust and go out on a boat on a large body of water and theyd get in a "argument" and he would swim back (not really) and his friend would call 911 a few days later and make a missing person report. The worst part of that is after that he told me this is how he basically killed a friend of his (yes alchohol was involved) He's been on the run for close to 16 years and also has talked about suicide via cop (he isnt wanted for killing his friend)
This could have been a longer production
Exit 2pac, enter Makaveli.
This stuff is so common
Wow this guy is impresssive.
John McAfee wouldn’t have had to do that if it weren’t for you
I've seen a lot of this.. in Telenovelas.
I love her reporting and her narration, she does some of the best vice reports I’ve seen
I couldn't disagree more
plot was horrific
Wow the woman from extreme cheapskates has really left behind that previous show.....
now she is a Vice journalist...
When Providence Rhode Island gets on vice 👀 who woulda thunk it
They need to switch out that light that makes you look pale or just add a neon light behind you.
I thought it was my screen but yeah it the light
they haven't seen gone girl
french foreighn legions offers anyone a new identity after service lol
Quite a superficial video - a few random cases, 30 seconds of interview. I’m not impressed i have to say.
Thought I'd see 2pac here.
Everybody interested in this should look up Matt Cox about the Marcus story. He wrote his story whilst with him in prison
If you're going to fake your death.. don't hid in the closet of your house.. some people are seriously just so incredibly stupid.
I see this TV motif and instantly stop watching.
Not old mate faking a plane crash just to email a friend and the friend is a rat bastard hahahahahhaa.
Rule #1 is obviously don't contact anyone from the previous life.
Just like Jeffery Epistein.
Does this reporter have a robotic Jaw?
I wish this video was longer. I want to learn more....hint hint
I didnt really understand the ending of this.. almost as if the man didnt really exist? What does she mean
That was awesome.
