I loved this one Cam! I’m from the Texarkana area, so I loved hearing Debbie Jones tell about her encounters. I’m the same age as Debbie and, yes, we all had heard of the Boggy Creek Monster in this area. I can’t wait to send this link to my brother who is currently in Korea. I now live in Jacksonville Fl. But I was raised in this area and I’m so thrilled to hear these stories. When I was just a young girl my daddy took me deep into the swamp to talk to the old man in the movie, the Boggy Creek Monster, this was right before the movie was released. I was so shocked to finally see the, BCM, movie and see the old man who we had went to meet. By the time the movie was released my father had died in a truck accident. I always wondered if my father had seen Bigfoot, because he was raised in Oregon and he was a woodsman. I think when my brother and I were maybe 12 or 13 years old we camped out on Turkey Hill with the neighborhood kids. That night we were scared out of the woods by growls that were so loud, someone would have had to have had a surround sound system to create that loud of noises. Loved the added touch with Debbie Jones telling her story!!! Wish I had been there camping with y’all.
Yes, my dad was a treasure indeed, he was a scout master over a whole region of boys when we lived in Paris Texas. I think he may have seen Bigfoot and may have been the reason we looked up the old man in the swampy woods just before BCM came out in theaters.
