Bula from Hawaii! Awesome video! I grew up visiting and drinking grog with my family in Savusavu area. Great times and memories! Might be heading back to Vanua Levu in a few weeks time. Is it possible to share the main guys name grating and mixing the green yaqona? I would love to possibly visit Narayabale and Sevusevu. I also like to buy yaqona directly from them. Vinaka!
Bula, thanks for watching and the kind comments. Vanua Levu is the best! ❤️ The ‘scraper’ is now a police officer in Savusavu and no longer in the village.
Village is in northern Fiji (in the South Pacific).. and most lessons in schools are taught in English 😀👍🏻 those nearer the towns/tourist areas will probably speak English more, but I’m lucky these kids in the rural north speak good English too. thanks for watching
@@fijikimbo i hope you can visit here as well. But kids here especially in the mountain areas or we call them barrio, don't speak english, only native language. Little by little they learning english in school. By the way i am a teacher and a farmer. Visit us here if you have time. You are welcome.
@@fijikimbo You'll be surprised that nearly every villages in Fiji knows English, even in prone rural areas as they are being taught in village schools.
