Very helpful video, a question on responder’s Jacoby 2N, was told not to use it with S’ton or void although in one of your early examples it is being used as such, any views? Also in case of agreed suit being H, wouldn’t kickback RKC help as it starts the process at 4S to avoid overshooting 5H if needed?
Hi Vijay, You are quite right about Kickback RKC. The reason I did not mention it is because it is beyond the level of understanding for most of the Saturday morning participants. The groups was originally designed for rank beginners; we are obviously way beyond that now, but most participants are early intermediates. I use Jacoby 2 NT for hands that exceed a total value of about 14 pts. This is because a splinter bid can take up most of the bidding space that may be needed for slam exploration. Not everyone plays it this way, so if you and your partner prefer not to put a top limit on a splinter bid, that is completely fine. Thanks for your input! Susan
@@RedDirtBridge Thank you Susan, after I put my comment I had a first hand experience of what you suggest, played a hand online a day later, had a strong hand with fit as responder & bid a splinter but partner just bid game whereas if I had gone via 2/1 would have bid & made slam, appreciate your videos each time.
