I would love for Sydney to do 200m from 2026 in the fallow year of athletics into 2028 going to the LA Olympics. There is something about Sydney and her ability to be so versatile that could make a major threat in the 200m. This race in my opinion, is one of many that showcases she can flow between almost all the sprint events and could be dominant in any event she chooses (The 100mh, 200m, 400m & 400mh specifically). Win or Lose at Olympics, I want to see more of Sydney in the 200m, I can definitely see a 21.8 from her.
That is incredible for a speed training one-off race. I wish someone else in the race had pushed her hard to the finish just to get her under 22. But it’s obvious she can do a 21 something. There are many sprint specialists who never get under 22, and here Sydney does it just for speed training for her main event. What an athlete. Another world record coming, and Femke, as good as she is, will settle for Silver. But it’s athletes like these that push the limits. We are so blessed to get to see them. Appreciate it and tell your kids and grandkids!
If she can dip under 50 second statistically this is the greatest athletics record in history. Maybe Sotomayor’s wr or bolt’s 9.58 are there but this is just pure insanity.
I totally agree that a sub 50 second 400mh would be one of the most impressive track & field records of all time but let’s not forget Bob Beamon’s unbelievable long jump record of 29 ft 2 1/4” set at the 1968 Olympics. That feat beat the previous record by 21 3/4” (almost 2 ft) and still stands as the current Olympic record today, 56 years later!
I'm a big Femke Bol fan; but I"ve always known that beating Sydney would be very difficult. But dang! Sydney is just unreal. I am going to enjoy seeing what this true phenom does over her career.
Amazing. Just read an ABC article where her coach confirms that she will be competing in the 400mH for the olympic trials. Cant wait for Sydney vs Femke!
Should be a great final in Paris. Femke Bol has improved a lot since they last raced, and ran 22.6 on a 200m short track earlier this year, which means she could have probably run around 22.3 on a normal 200m track with less bends. So she also has the flat speed.
Yeah, Sidney isn't resting on her laurels and wishful thinking to anyone who thinks any of her competitors can keep up with her in the 400 hurdles . She looks ready for a low 50 point or possibly dipping into 49 seconds. She getting better. Speed, endurance, the full package. Hopefully she'll run an open 400 soon so she can break the American record. That was extremely impressive considering the women she just took down, Femke would have come in dead last, probably at least a half second behind Sydney.
Syd is more of a speed athlete than Bol. Bol has incredible speed endurance. Bol also has an indoor 22.6x and for a tall athlete that is well worth an outdoor time of at least 22.3. Neither are gonna be true 200m specialists!
Based on that effort it appears she'll go very close to 48.00 for 400M flat over coming months, with an outside chance of dipping slightly under, which hasn't been done outside the dubious world records of the 1980s. Even her 400M hurdles WR looks under threat. Another Bolt in her event.
Very interesting no one else even close although they all run around that time last time out. I find it very strange every one is so far behind and unusual.
@@kobbieafriyie2172yes our Sydney levrone is back she got tired of people singing praise and worship for Femki Bol and decided to go back to hurdles and batter her one last time before switching
@@DanielJackson6742 Excellent idea----after all, according to Bol's irrational fans, she is the fastest 400m runner now because she broke the meaningless indoor 400m record.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Congrats to Sydney although I suspect she doesn't need any outside noise to tell her how good she is or to use that noise for motivation, the great ones are self motivated! I wouldn't count Abby out just yet, still getting her legs under herself since surgery! It seems she's still searching for that top end speed which she had in her college days, that last 20 meters was hers and I expected to see it in this race but it wasn't quite there yet. The next few months will be very entertaining with the women, I predict it'll take a sub 22 to be on the Olympic team in the women's 200!
Think my man doesn’t understand how fast you have to be to split 48 low on a relay leg and 48 mid on open 400. Her running 22 flat is what anyone who knows track would expect. Maybe if she dipped into 21.70 would I be surprised but you can’t be serious here
@@cusahoj No she didn't, the reaction times were wrong. Come on, look at it with your naked eye. Even Blake looked faster when he ran 19.26 and his reaction time was 0.269
Honestly i saw Elaine Thompson lose every race, just do enough to qualify but when D-Day came she won everything by a few seconds surprising her Jamaican teammate who was favourite in everything. My point is, not every runner is going hard until silverware is the goal
I would have preferred her to break a 39-years old, 400m flat world record, then break her own 400 hurdle record that won't be broken afterward in the coming 50 years. Marita Koch needs to be removed from the records board, and she is the only one that can do it.
Wait... after breaking the 400 hurdles record by over a second, and running the fastest 4x400 relay split by over a second in Eugene, Oregon 2022, we’re only Just Now discovering that Sydney is fast???
"Subsequent" Olympic Games, not "preceding." "Preceding" means "to come before." SML is expanding her comfort zone, and the rest of women's track needs to take note. Unless the 400 final at the Trials goes completely off the rails, the USA entry into the women's 4x400 should be spectacular.
Does not work like that, her 200 pb before this was 22.39 in 2018 - this is not much better for six years onward and a lot more improvement in he 400mH times primarily based on her stride pattern not her speed. And given the new coach it's somewhat expected. She has always been fast!
Sidney is the truth. Once she locks in on any challenge she will find a way to dominate. I'm surprised at Gabby's time and finish but it's still early.
What’s really WILD is it appears she WASNT EVEN WEARING SPIKES! Unless I’m mistaken, she was the only athlete wearing regular running shoes, which are significantly heavier than track spikes. Could be another couple tenths difference.
Waaaaay more drugs than you thought too. One can disregard how effortlessly she runs the toughest sprint in the world (400m hurdles) or how visibly unexhausted she is after the race, even though there's a remarkable similarity with Flo Jo on both counts. But the harder to miss red flags are all there - huge improvements on world records regularly, big breaks away from the track, ability to compete in events she's never run competitively before and still beat the world's best, and coached by Bob Kersee who was once known as Bob the Chemist coz he only worked with athletes who agreed to take PEDs.
Syd is a straight up alien . If ever anyone has seen a more complete female sprinter in the history of athletics including flo jo and the current big 3 from jamaica Id like to hear who it is. The woman had not competed in a 200 m in 6 years. She lines up in the box with imo the 2 greatest 200m sprinters the USA has , and in a workman like , easy as you please manner torches both while posting a personal best of 22.03 ! Not even close. Honestly.. nothing terribly shocking here in as far as Syd is concerned. this woman is the final word in being prepared to compete. What I found astounding was Gabbys baffelingly slow and honestly dismal showing. Please , someone who was there tell me she was holding back.. dogging it for some reason known only to her , god and her coach. Its a forgone conclusion after seeing her in LA that if ... she wanted it , yea she would own the 200m field . And when I say field I mean the entire World. every single thing she decides to compete in ... Its lights out. Will miss very much seeing her astound the World with the first undoped sub 48 clocking in the 400m if the rumors prove true that she will once again defend her 400m hurdles title in paris. It isn't really necessary although any chance to see Syd and Femke on the track at the same time is simply must see. The highest drama the world could hope for is that Syd doesnt defend in the hurdles and locks in on the 400m sprint. Why ? Because its the one event that she can and should compete in where the outcome is not a forgone conclusion . Love me some Femke Bol...not a snow balls chance in hell she beats Sydney in the 400 h. The 400m sprint however... Oh yea ..this is definitely one she could lose with the likes of Paulido , and shana miller Ouibo to deal with. But if she jumps in .. she wont lose. As I said , she IS the final word in preparedness

2028 is too far away she should aim for the world championships though
@@jobi5329 She can, at the 2027 World Championships.
Untouchable for real
Greatest all around runner alive
That is incredible for a speed training one-off race. I wish someone else in the race had pushed her hard to the finish just to get her under 22. But it’s obvious she can do a 21 something. There are many sprint specialists who never get under 22, and here Sydney does it just for speed training for her main event. What an athlete. Another world record coming, and Femke, as good as she is, will settle for Silver. But it’s athletes like these that push the limits. We are so blessed to get to see them. Appreciate it and tell your kids and grandkids!
She’s a completely dominant athlete. She can probably hold her own in the 100m too, but anything 200-400 she’s THE ONE. She’s HER 💪🏽
MCLAUGHLIN'S RULE!
If she can dip under 50 second statistically this is the greatest athletics record in history. Maybe Sotomayor’s wr or bolt’s 9.58 are there but this is just pure insanity.
I think it'll be the greatest.
She’s breaking the world record for sure in 400 hurdles
It's Her WR To Break! Again!!!
i think it also 50.3/50.4 for Sydney and Femke is targetting i think 50.8-50.9.
The 4-5 steps push out of the curve is just beautiful and scary :) Femke Bol has her work cut out for her this Summer 😯
Theres no world in which femke bol should be mentioned in the same sentence as Sydney....
All the Femke Bol fans are going to learn real quick that Sydney is the true GOAT.
I'm a big Femke Bol fan; but I"ve always known that beating Sydney would be very difficult. But dang! Sydney is just unreal. I am going to enjoy seeing what this true phenom does over her career.
..hope it's not too hot in Paris in July, but things will be heating up at the track!
A genuine Superstar.
@@ExileRadio
She is going to leave Femke WELL BACK.
@@efisgpr this troll again. Tell me what was the need for this message? Nobody believes you can predict the future, so what are you doing?
@@Magnusfication
Troll? She has never and will never beat Syd.
Syd is the greatest ever. You look stupid right now.
What a wake up call to these other sprinters. They better step up their game big time.
Bol is improving at a fast pace perhaps at the same rate as Sydney, you can't dismiss her.
@@nicolasleiva6636you are lying Sydney just needed to lower the 50seconds Bol will never match Sydney levrone at all
@@KeruboOnkoba You don't know that! Bol is progressing at a similar pace and in some aspects better. But you never know!
Syd is more of a speed athlete than Bol. Bol has incredible speed endurance. Bol also has an indoor 22.6x and for a tall athlete that is well worth an outdoor time of at least 22.3. Neither are gonna be true 200m specialists!
I can’t imagine Sydney going below 50 sec. It would be insane.
I can. Did you see this race?? LOL.
Went under 49 last summer.
Or you mean hurdles?
@@cyrilanderson Hurdles yes
Looks like she's going after her own world record. Hope she gets back to the 400 flat soon. It'll be exciting watching her chase that record.
Based on that effort it appears she'll go very close to 48.00 for 400M flat over coming months, with an outside chance of dipping slightly under, which hasn't been done outside the dubious world records of the 1980s. Even her 400M hurdles WR looks under threat. Another Bolt in her event.
She neeed to do both and relays too
Schedule depending I think the 200's are a bid to make the 4x1 in addition to the 4x4 teams this olympic year
Very interesting no one else even close although they all run around that time last time out. I find it very strange every one is so far behind and unusual.
Always a gr8 race when Abby Stiener and Gabby Thomas running. (The two beauty queens.)
The 2024 Prefontaine Classic is this coming weekend. It is going to be very interesting. Sydney may shatter more records there.
This reminds me of her first open 4 last year. This race right here is what that was all about last year 👀👀👀
A 400mh world record coming
Wow ! I thought she would take third or fourth, she absolutely dominated . Extra-Ordinary
Other than 400h and 400, now also 200 at maximum possible level. What will she drop at Oly?
Sydney!🌟
Can't wait to see her at the olympics !!
what was Gabby Thomas saying about her Jamaican roots making her fast?
She’s definitely contesting the 400m at WC next year and having a go at that world record.
This lady is gonna pull a Flojo performance this year. Simply being unbeatable.
Yes
It will be a guaranteed Faceplant for Bol in the Paris Olympics 400mh finals now 😅
🤣🤣🤣---I almost feel sorry for Bol! She is working hard for second place in Paris---She was born in the wrong era, the Sydney era.
@@kobbieafriyie2172yes our Sydney levrone is back she got tired of people singing praise and worship for Femki Bol and decided to go back to hurdles and batter her one last time before switching
Bol could just choose 400 flat instead?
@DanielJackson-sq5jc she already stated that she's going to run 400m hurdles outdoors this season, and who's to say she will medal over 400m anyway
@@DanielJackson6742 Excellent idea----after all, according to Bol's irrational fans, she is the fastest 400m runner now because she broke the meaningless indoor 400m record.🤣🤣🤣🤣
1:48: “…she is NOT a 200m runner”… apparently she is! Haha
SML is the GOAT
2:28 "Sydney's abilities cannot be understated" 🤔
Would love to know Sydney's 100M split time.
All Abby needs to do is run some 400's to build stamina.
Sydney LOVES❤
Levrone can just hop into anything and dominate. Don't you love it?
Think my man doesn’t understand how fast you have to be to split 48 low on a relay leg and 48 mid on open 400. Her running 22 flat is what anyone who knows track would expect. Maybe if she dipped into 21.70 would I be surprised but you can’t be serious here
Exactly! this is not much better than her 22.39 in 2018.
Bet she could win long jump too with her past experience
Yep. The GOAT.
And the PV and the marathon too! LMAO!
Sydney is a great athlete .... and a great person.
bob kersey maybe about to switch her to the 200 next year...if so all 200 meter runners should be scared...
Wow..! She can run faster and UPSET OTHER FAVOURITES. She will run Somewhere 21.60s or 21.70s
She had reaction over 0.5, that means she could go 21.7 in this race very easily
@@cusahoj No she didn't, the reaction times were wrong. Come on, look at it with your naked eye. Even Blake looked faster when he ran 19.26 and his reaction time was 0.269
@@WheeJones tru
Honestly i saw Elaine Thompson lose every race, just do enough to qualify but when D-Day came she won everything by a few seconds surprising her Jamaican teammate who was favourite in everything.
My point is, not every runner is going hard until silverware is the goal
I would have preferred her to break a 39-years old, 400m flat world record, then break her own 400 hurdle record that won't be broken afterward in the coming 50 years.
Marita Koch needs to be removed from the records board, and she is the only one that can do it.
Sydney is amazing.
Wait... after breaking the 400 hurdles record by over a second, and running the fastest 4x400 relay split by over a second in Eugene, Oregon 2022, we’re only Just Now discovering that Sydney is fast???
And running a 22.39 in 2018 - I know huh. She has always been fast. TRP needs more clicks
She will probably break the 400mH world record this year
It wasn’t an upset to me, I predicted this
"Subsequent" Olympic Games, not "preceding." "Preceding" means "to come before." SML is expanding her comfort zone, and the rest of women's track needs to take note. Unless the 400 final at the Trials goes completely off the rails, the USA entry into the women's 4x400 should be spectacular.
Why doesnt she also run 200 at the Olympics? She will probably win!!
Because it was a bullshit race, it looked like everyone else was jogging.
Gabby is certainly not going all out. However with this speed, her 400/hurdles PB is gonna drop
Gabby was running to win. She is just inconsistent.
She was a little too ambitious running two events on the same day. She did poorly in either
Does not work like that, her 200 pb before this was 22.39 in 2018 - this is not much better for six years onward and a lot more improvement in he 400mH times primarily based on her stride pattern not her speed. And given the new coach it's somewhat expected. She has always been fast!
Sydney might lower the world record yet again in the 400 hurdles with this kind of speed.
Sydney should run a 300 and the never run 500 to get speed and endurance for the 400 and 400 hurdles. Bracketing rules!
Sidney is the truth. Once she locks in on any challenge she will find a way to dominate. I'm surprised at Gabby's time and finish but it's still early.
Gabby has always been inconsistent. I root for her, but I don't bet on her.
@@geraldinemoss2380 she is a gamer though. She sometimes disappears early in the season but she will be ready come trials.
What’s really WILD is it appears she WASNT EVEN WEARING SPIKES! Unless I’m mistaken, she was the only athlete wearing regular running shoes, which are significantly heavier than track spikes. Could be another couple tenths difference.
Remember rai broke 20 sec in 200m so it possible for a hudler to be that fast
Waaaaay more drugs than you thought too. One can disregard how effortlessly she runs the toughest sprint in the world (400m hurdles) or how visibly unexhausted she is after the race, even though there's a remarkable similarity with Flo Jo on both counts. But the harder to miss red flags are all there - huge improvements on world records regularly, big breaks away from the track, ability to compete in events she's never run competitively before and still beat the world's best, and coached by Bob Kersee who was once known as Bob the Chemist coz he only worked with athletes who agreed to take PEDs.
Please explain national and world age level records since she was 14 years old?
Thanks magical thinker
When is Noah Lyles 150m Atlanta Games going to be uploaded?
He did it.
I wonder what derailed the two-year 400M project. Paulino, possibly?
Sydney is one of the biggest female stars already. I knew she would do good but this is surprising.
Yoooo.... Its getting silly 😮 She is a once in an 🌎 talent
Sydney is untouchable
I wish her the best. my favourite, to win a Gold.
This win was not surprising at all. It was almost expected
