Danni did so well to close 40 secs to Grojean in 30 laps on mediums that were 67 laps old. Doing the fourth fastest lap of the day on his last lap too. So he is my DOD.
For the people who blame Max for that pitstop release, it is not his fault! If the team says Go! You go, u dont look over your shoulder to see if someone is there. And for redbull it was this or waiting for Bottas AND vettel otherwise it would’ve been a unsafe release on vettel. So he would’ve been fourth in every situation. RBR could’ve told max: watch bottas on your right but thats RB’s fault!
Sorry but mirrors exist. It's not the unsafe release the main issue. The main issue here was the push by max to the wall wich damaged bottas' car. He had some space to his left.
@@FlixSen you do realize that he probably wasn't able to see bottas till very late because there was a pitcrew in the way, and the f1 mirrors are not very great. Furthermore after he realizes bottas was there he jumped out of the way. The reason they gave him the penalty was because if something worse happened due to the unsafe release it could've injured people in the pitlane and unfortunately the only penalties they have in place are for the driver even though it is the teams responsibility. This was by no means max' fault.
My opinion on Leclerc is he hasn't been up to how he should perform this season. While qualifying in Monaco wasn't his fault, I think he isn't as great as everybody hypes him up to be. I don't think luck has anything to do with him, just his skill. But that's my opinion.

They are pretty much the same speed all the time (sometimes leclerc is a bit faster, then Vettel again) and Vettel has been in this team for ages. Why do people feel bad for Lecrec? Yes, Ferrari screwed up His quali on Saturday but he was 100% responsible for his performance in the race. He was being impatient, miscalculated so many times and destroyed his car when he rushed to the pits after his puncture.
I felt like that on lap 76 when Max tried to overtake Lewis, Max wasn't much closer than on the laps before. But Lewis got a Haas in front of him in the braking zone. Such a tense moment that was!
Tim Hoefnagel I would say he’s a bit overrated, but remember that he still is new to F1 and if you look at Verstappen’s first couple of years, where he was straight up dangerous, as well as Hamilton’s first year where he messed up simple things ie China 2007.

There is an article about it, he knew overtaking was pretty much not going to happen and he was just outside the points so he played the team game which is actually fairly surprising as you are usually directly compared to your teammate. But he's shown his colors towards teams in general which has value.

Unfortunate Max got the penalty? That penalty was a slap in the wrist given that it was an unsafe released and it ruined Bottas's race and damaged his car. Gio on the other hand got 10 sec penalty for spinning the williams A smaller infringement than Redbull's unsafe release. FIA WHERE IS THE CONSISTENCY.
