In most of EU countries and definately in Czech Republic tap water is drinkable and sometimes even better than bottled water, so that´s not the question.
The main reason is that the water and drinks in general is the main source of income for the restaurant. The tap water is actually very good in Czechia, even better than the bottled one. And if you compare the prices said in the video - Yes, the beer is actually CHEAPER than water here.
what? teachers pay for own supplies to do their job? Hell no, here in Euro or at least in The Netherlands in any profession you never ever buy something with own money, some do but get it back with next pay check. Insane that companies let employers pay for things that are mandatory to do their job.
Having been blessed to see Queen with the great man himself Freddie i can understand your pain. With restuarants i did have an issue in the US a couple of times that i did feel rushed and that bugged me so being the pain in the ass i am i took my time on purpose. For me going to a restuarant is an experience, if you just want quick food, go to Mac d's. So to be asked if I want anything else or do i want the bill while still eating my main is pushy and rude. Plus there is politness and then there gushing.
I'll play devil's advocate here. Taxes should not be included in the advertized price! Americans have the god-given right to be angry every time they pay a price bigger than advertized. And angry at whom? The government of course! They are the ones who make things more expensive! Hell yeah, get angry each time you pay for something! Away with the government! Vote republican and make it happen!
Tap water has such strict rules in the Czech Republic, that it is better to drink than bottled water.

Yep, our EU water is really good, so i dont really understand why restaurants dont want to sell them. Probablly to make more money on bottled water.

In European countries you can drink the tap water without hesitation. Restaurants live from the drinks, not so much from the food.
