Having an embie racing xv-01, stock xv-01 and the xv-02, both are great but purely offroad the xv-02 handles great. That being said, if you're comparing how each runs "out of the box" the xv-02 wins for offroad hands down in my opinion. Yes, the Xv-02 is more expensive, but it comes with a lot extra(CVDs, better suspension, much more reliable) if I total the amount of money it takes to get the 01 to the same point the price isn't different really.
@@petersheffield8264 Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion! I agree with you XV-02 has better performances off-road👍 I still prefer the XV-01 because seems like (till now) is the best chassis for on-road stages and can have good performances off-road if well tuned😁
@@dariorcgarage i have a xv-01 already and am very very pleased with it. I love belt drive and how stable it behaves while driving. Actually its used for a bit of speed run and bashing over agricultural and gravel roads. Works well and behaviour is so much better than tt01 tt02. Last weekend i got a 109,6km/h on wet road on 3s with 4kv motor which surprised me. Xv02 is interesting as well but a bit expensive in my opinion.
This was an excellent idea. We can all learn a lot from these kind of videos. You explained things very well. I didn't submit a question. Somehow, I missed that. I am very, very old and I miss things. What weight diff oil are you currently running in the front and rear? Thank you. I just bought an XV-01 and will be setting it up. Keep up the good work!

Hi Dario, really apprechiate your videos 👍 i own a xv-01 and to change a bit from Tamiya I recently got myself a SNRC DT2 rally chassis? Do you know somebody using it? I m desperately looking for a setup sheet for basic adjustments but cannot find anything on the web. As a newbie i m a bit lost. Can you help maybe ? Many thanks and continue with your good explainativ videos
@@felix_dacat_01 Hi, thanks! Sorry I don't know that chassis. Try to see from my videos how I use to adapt the model during the races, it can be helpful :)
Hi Dario, I appreciate you channel. reviewing your local Rally activity inspires others. Here where I live we are starting Tamiya Rally but TT02. I know its not 100% Rally but we try low budget first. there are a lot of upgrades to do and also try and error stages. Have your experience on TT-02 before you stated with XV-01? Any advice? we already implemented oil dampers, bearings and started testing alternative pinions as stock ones wear out quite easy. Greetings from Argentina.
Hi, thank you for your comment! It makes me feel happy because the main goal of my channel is to show how "Rc Rally" it's fun and to inspire people to try it. 3 years ago I directly started with XV-01, but I saw some people using TT-02, which is also a good product 👍what's important it's to increase the steering angle, and if you feel that there is too much understeer, you can try to add some weights on the front of the Chassis. Good luck with Rc Rally in Argentina and keep me updated 😁👋
Ps: if you are considering you use your model mainly on off-road surfaces, Tamiya XV-02 could be a better option 👍

@dariorcgarage Many thanks Dario. The chassis is quite good. You get nearly everything you need for small price (109eur)
