The Fastest Way To Make Kindling - A Vertical Log Splitter
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- In this video I turn all the undesirable hardwood from my last purchase of firewood logs into usable kindling with my homemade vertical wood splitter. My Kubota B2650 tractor stockpiles all of IBC totes filled with firewood and we get a final count on how many cords of firewood we end up with.
put a bungee around the piece you're splitting.
Do you mean to attach it to the tote when it's sitting on top or when I'm cutting the lid with the sawzall?
@@ForestHogOutdoors if you stretch a bungee around your piece while you're splitting, it holds all the pieces together, less handling.
Great idea, I'll give it a try.
there may be a market for biochar out of the waste wood
Biochar? Never heard of her.
I sure like this splitter, im working on building myself one. Doing mostly bundle wood the verticle style is the way to go! Keep up the good work. ~Dave
It's the only way to go for bundle sized wood. I would like a heavy duty machine for mass production if I ever got into bulk sales.
Love all the orange equipment 🧡🧡🧡🦄🇺🇲
Orange is our favorite color around these parts! Thanks for watching.
Just found ya ., an love the homemade vertical . Nice speed with it . We just built one also an if ya get a chance stop on over an ck it out we are a new channel also now i gota go watch ya 500 i video
Thanks for watching. Heading over to your channel now to check it out.
The results are closer to logs than to kindling!
The kindling ended up measuring 1"x1". I did cut up some larger squares in the later totes for campfire wood or re splitting at a later time.
Wrap a bungee cord near bottom that way it stays together while you split...
Idk if it will work but while watching that popped up in my head..
Yeah yall Yankees are particularly in yalls wood.. hell I'll knock the termites out of a piece of wood and burn what's left... But down south while your wood is drying bugs ,snakes, mice, scorpions, and all other critters move into it...
That's a good idea I just don't know if it would be worth the time to continually wrap and unwrap the bungee for ever round. I made due just holding on to each piece. I am not particularly picky with my personal wood, but the wood that I sell I have to make sure looks good for my particular customers. Thanks for watching man.
If you cut the bark off with 4 cuts you get a square or almost. Then slab the square and multi cut the slabs to the size you want.. save the bark cut offs for your own use
I think you're on to something here James. Luckily this batch has lasted me some time. I'll try it on the next load. Thanks
hi there well done john
Thanks for watching John!
take the cut bundle - hold it together - slide through tube right into a bag - instant patio fire wood ready to sell 🙂
Genius! Do you have a bagging rig like that?
Kindling is easier to make when the wood is dry !!! Lol
I'm sure it is but this didn't go to bad.
Skinless boneless is the way to go 😂 thanks for the shoutout buddy
Petitioning Webster to have skinless boneless added to their dictionary. The only way to describe bundle wood.
That splitter sure can produce some firewood fast!
That's the way we like it.
E z. Don't put it in garage again. Smaller version of Jakes shelter 🤷
Believe me Brandon, it's never going in there again. Already have a temp wood yard setup put back. Going to do some testing before building something permanent.
I love the way you handle that wood. 😘
Any comment is a good comment ..I suppose.
Love the stats !!!
The stats don't lie!
