Hmm.. I learned the trick to leave one pallet to last, and place the cut slats between the rails of the pallet. Then you can cut the upright slats handsfree, and with skill, cut 3 or 4 at once. Quicker and safer
I split the prices without nails for kindling and keep the rest of the wood with the nails for the outside fire pit. And if a few nails end up in the fireplace, it’s not a big deal.
No disrespect but mount a bolster chisel in a log by drilling a hole in the log ...then hold your timber in one hand and a hammer in the other, then bang the timber onto the blade...much safer and much more acurate ....Using an axe like that is pretty stupid ....you will end up hurting yourself like that
I just love the whole attitude! Spend a few hours now and never have to mess around with something for a year!
Thanks!
Awesome! I got tons of free pallets from work, me and my boys filled 3 garbage cans full 😁 easy peasy Thank u! ❤
That is awesome!
Awesome showed me the easiest & quickest way to get kindling, Brilliant thanks 😊
Glad it helped!

Nice, thanks for sharing!
Im from osha. Are those steel toe crocs? 😉
Yup, approved by our own internal department 😁
My heart was in my mouth bro! Use a little stick to hold the wood. So much safer! (Also, pallets would be more than the wood where I am lol).
Keep your eyes on the target. No worries
Wow they have fancy D5 pallets there.
I hear they want $100 per used pallet now...(lol)
"No chasing the train, kids!"
There a bunch of places around here that give them away for free
Who exactly buys used pallets? Local businesses?
Great great idea thanks
Thanks. What do you do with the nails? Do you take the off?

Not necessary unless you're putting the ash in your yard or use it on snow. Ashes with nails I dump in my fire pit
Great job brother
Thanks!
Those pallets are pine?
Some pine/spruce and some hardwood.
I do the same thing, but on the clock. Leave the mess there. :)
Awesome video
How many pallets was that thanks
About 15
What's the worth if you were to sell as kindling and the fire wood ? As I've i started but wondering how to price a chopped pallet great video thanks
I'm skeptical that this only took 4.5 minutes....
4.5 minutes of video. 2 hours real time :)
