No, its not gramps splitter. Gramps splitter is now in my yard and will out split that goofy thing 5 to 1. Its only 4 hp and he built it out of scrap steel and used parts. That thing is a joke🤣🤣🤣🤣

Great 👍 I have a idea for you … go to a junk yard or local garage and ask for a used front hub bearing ( most of the time they will be in ok shape) mount to a bench at a 90 , put the wheel studs through your plywood. Hold your wrap with a stationary pipe and now you can just spin your batch of split wood. Just a thought thanks for sharing 🙏

I don’t want to be that person, but speaking from experience. Rule #1 with a chainsaw…. Regardless of your experience, expertise and so on. NEVER make cuts that are above your head, even when working off of an existing pile. Does not only apply to trimming or tree removal from an existing standing Don’t cut above your head. 1:39 in. Just remember moldy told you so!

"Not sure how you guys do it". Me an my two sons get out there with sledgehammers, wedges and an axe. That's after finding a free tree to cut up and haul to the house. That is a nice splitter. I love free heat!

Very nice splitter. I like the side lift and the adjustable height on the four way. You are splitting the wood toooo small. It will burn too fast. I like to have the front bucket of my tractor next to me and stack the splits neatly in the bucket and take it to the wood hut. Saves time. Aaron from Canada

Good God, lots of grumpy trolls here. Anyways, thats an awesome machine. And I don't know why, but I could run that splitter daily, if not for cathartic purposes only. That's almost better than a freshly mowed lawn.

My dad used me as his log cutter, splitter & stacker no need for a machine. I also dug ditches & lugged shingles to the roof. Hard work like that turned me into an animal on the football field and got me a nice scholarship. This machine looks great & had I had one when I was a kid maybe I could have had more time to train in the gym and performed even better in sports, excellent video.

I called it a wood splitter since the early 70s. I think more people call it a LOG splitter rather than WOOD splitter. put a thumb nail that says WOOD or LOG ? VOTE. which is the correct or more popular name. should get a lot of vote. WHAT did you originally call a splitter .(b4 all the U tube vidjas) back in the day what did you call it and the state or nation you are from. RICK central ny I called it WOOD splitter back in the day ,when men were men and we rode 2-strokes and 2 bathrooms were enough.

It looked kind of flimsy for them logs. My guess it'll last 3 seasons before some welds give way. If a one man operation. I know having to drill holes in some oaks while rebuilding a window was not something I expected. So seeing that thing split oak would my guess be a destructive decision. I guessing depending on the power of the ram that splitter post won't be splitting oak with the four or six way. Otherwise is would bend the frame as it used the log to place the splitter into the hitch position.

If you split the bigger ones in 1/2, then run rose thru the 4 way. effecient

Like many people has said, the website wants you to email them for a Request for Quote. This tells me the company only wants your email address ... they're not serious about their machine ... or it's way more expensive than their competitors.

Do you have a single wedge instead of the four way, might work better
