EDC flashlight choice for licensed electricians (at least this one) is the Fluke Volt Light (LVD1), and those are under $30. what's great about them is they can detect voltage without contact. so let's say you see some damaged phukked up shit and there are wires hanging out all over, you can safely test without touching to determine if those wires are energized. i think that could be an important thing to know if/when some dire situation were to whatever blahblahblah :-) great video, thumbs up and subbed! thanks Chris
Love the list. I bought an Anker after watching one of your other videos. I have had a CS Ready Edge for many years and carry several of the items or very similar EDC everyday. Keep it up.
Hi, I'm a poor person from the UK, and we arn't allowed anything ,lol. I think you'll find, we arn't allowed the cold steel super edge. No fixed blades, and must be under 3 inch blade. I have a Spyderco UK Penknife, Victorinox Ranger and Recruit, and Spyderco Bug and Grasshopper. I also have a Kershaw Cryo 2, illegal to carry, locking blade, and over 3 inch blade, so I use it round the house. Great videos by the way.
you can legally buy a neck knife in the UK but you can't carry any fixed blade knife without a legitimate reason. The only knife you can carry on you without any problem is a 3in blade or less that folds and doesn't lock.I think this rule also applies throughout the EU?
I'm sure the same thing happens here in the U.K. and as long as you don't walk around with a big knife hanging off your belt like an american gunfighter;nobody will know;so good for you!
Rarely see cops in the EU in general. They rely on cameras to do all the work. You can carry around practically whatever you want. The cops here in the EU arent hyper aware like the states, so its much easier to walk around with stuff on you.
that law has been changed we can not carry any bladed item unless we have a reason IE we are going to work and need the blade for work or we have some other good reason for carrying it if we don't have a good enough reason we can get arrested for carrying a one inch folding blade . I hate it here :(
nope not true, 3 inch or less non locking blade without reason, locking or fixed blade needs a very good reason. if you need proof/ confirmation check the government website. I currently work for south Yorkshire police so I would hope I'm right. www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives
I bought 2 Nitecore Tube lights back in June of 2015. A black one and a pink one. Both lights are still working great. I've recharged them about three times so far, just for the "H" of it. Neither has gone dead while in use. Mine has so far survived going through the washing machine TWICE and still works like new. Your mileage may vary. Just ordered the T360 headlamp. It should arrive in a few days. It's basically the same Tube light with a headband - currently selling for $19.95.
If you get the chance, can you do a video on what you would edc if you were in an unfamiliar city and were on foot site-seeing at a variety of places like malls, historic buildings, etc, and you were going to be away from your vehicle by about a mile or so. In this scenario, you wanted to really blend in and didn't feel comfortable carrying anything more than a butt pack or something similar. You were afraid of being stopped and searched by the police and you wanted to make sure that the items you were carrying could be easily explainable.
Chris, Get the cobra bucle EDC belt, it takes 56 seconds longer to put on the cobra than the all velcro version you use. . Do you have a minute? Connect the other half of the buckle to the main part of the buckle and then work the belt through the loops. unhook the other half of the belt and atatch to the tag end of the belt.tighten as required and get to gunnin. S.O.E makes a great EDC belt. way stiffer.
Us poor people in the UK can have that knife but if we were stopped by the police for any reason the cops would ask us 101 fucking questions so alot of people don't bother because it's too much hassle. If you had to defend yourself from an attacker you probably get done for aggregated assault just for pulling it out over here in the UK
This video just reminded me of one knife I've been meaning to get that keeps slipping my mind--the super edge. Been carrying a nitecore tube for a while now. Love it.
excellent video, brother! I'm just starting to build my bug out bag & edc on a budget, this video helped me a lot for choosing the right stuff for the right price. thanx a bunch!
I've always liked top 10 videos. They provide everyone's different insight and preferences for the topic at hand-fast. Top 10 videos are also great to get a better understanding of tools needed for that person's surroundings/environment. Thanks, Chris for sharing the video and thanks for the opportunity for the GAW.
The Zancudo and Avispa folders are manufactured in Taiwan for Blue Ridge Knives. These folders are not manufactured by ESEE, nor do they carry the ESEE logo. ESEE does not warranty, market or sell these folders. For more information, contact Blue Ridge Knives.
+PREPAREDMIND101 Here in the uk, we are only allowed to carry a folding knife under 3 inches without a lock on it, it is illegel to carry any sort off fixed bladed knife or lock knife, what ever the size, so i carry a victornox tinker
Now this is why I watch these vids. You just introduced me to something new...Vector Thunderbird Inserts!!! Nice!!! Only reason I never carry a zippo is because the fluid evaporates faster than I can use it up. Not going to happen now...they even make an insert that uses flints and has a 'soft flame'...wow...a win in my book. Thanks dude!!!
Great tip on the Blackhawk belt sizing. The American made CMC Rescue belt looks similar but is a bit more expensive but excellent. For normal use the Blackhawk may be a good option.
Good video! I completely agree about the Nitecore Tube - I give them away to loved ones, because it is such an easy way to get them to increase their preparedness.
Thanks for the vid. Have you looked at the Original SOE Gear Low profile EDC belt? Rigid belt with a single hook with loops and velcro for adjustment. I replaced my leather gun belt with SOE's EDC belt. Reasonably priced as far as rigid gun belts go.
Great video. I like the econo products as I am putting together my first EDC and car bags for my wife and I. I stopped in to Survival Tactics this past Monday and his wife helped me. That's a great store and I will be back in the future.
I really enjoy your videos! I've been watching your stuff for a year now and trying to build my family and my self a good bug out system! Thank you for everything you do! Love the key chain flashlight too!
I always EDC a multi-tool of some kind and I (and everyone else) use it constantly. I also EDC a med kit (which everybody also uses) carried in a small fishing lure bag. Most of the stuff in it could be bought for less than $30, which is good since it gets emptied out fairly regularly. I know that in a single item list a med kit doesn't qualify but I don't leave home without it.
Thanks for the vid. There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the blackhawk cqb riggers belt. No one seems to be able to figure out what size to buy. Lol.
Been considering the Archer 2A for a while, especially now that the V3 is brigher and carries lens down. I just love lights that can use a 14500 because you can take advantage of a lithium ion but go back to common batteries if you have to, like in a power outage or just as backups if you can't afford to buy a bunch of lithium ions to stash in your car/coat pocket/bag/.etc. Been eyeing the nitecore tube though too, because it doesn't use those stupid button cell batteries like all my cheap squeeze lights do.
I would love to try the nitecore light. I have a small lenora light from nite ize attached to the top of my EDC BAG perfect for finding stuff in the bag. It takes a watch battery but seems to last forever.
You're right about that wallet man I've had mine for close to a year now and it's phenomenal. I actually did the little razor blade trick with it that you did in your video. What do you think of the CRKT Civet neck knives? The drop point or the bowie?
Awesome video...great items...loved the wallet & your shades...what brand are your shades? Cool little lumens light by nightcore....thank for sharing useful EDC items under $30 video
Unfortunately in the UK we wouldn't be able to have that knife for EDC due to it being fixed! :) The police wouldn't actually be bothered about it (or many other knives) unless you were flashing it about and trying to look hard. Blackhawk riggers belts are my favorite, they work super well for holding up the weight of a Leatherman and a large fixed blade without letting your pants feel like they're dragging off your body. great product.
That Tube light is about the same size as the BrightStrke keychain light I got when I ordered my AAA EPLI penlight ...if you ever get the chance to review some of their products I think you'll be impressed --
Great video for people on a budget, I may have to attempt something similar at some point.
You always entertain... On top of informing, pm101 is one of my favorite channels, love it man- keep it up! Ignore the hate, keep it tacticool

+KingTesticus Thanks for the heads up on the LVD1 Fluke Volt Light. Sounds like a great item.
No love for the maglite mini? Indestructable weatherproof flashlights under 12 bucks
@@cleverkitsune4302 I have a ton of edc Flashlights, an the mini mag is always on my side. Some of the old school stuff just works

SMH!!
How does it feel to be a Slave in a country that doesn't trust you to carry a cutting tool??
An oppressive Nanny State.
No Thanks!!
@Jorn Navarre SMH!!
Pathetic!!!
Why do you people tolerate such Total Control??
Chris the Cold Steel knife is illegal in the UK as it's a fixed blade. You can only carry a none locking folding blade upto 3 inches.
I'm liking that little keychain light! Rechargeable!
Sweet video! I've had my eyes on the tube light for a while.
you can legally buy a neck knife in the UK but you can't carry any fixed blade knife without a legitimate reason. The only knife you can carry on you without any problem is a 3in blade or less that folds and doesn't lock.I think this rule also applies throughout the EU?
U summed that up very well

I've been EDC'ing the Streamlight Stylus Pro and I absolutely love it.
2 AAA LED. Highly recommended.
Appreciate the UK mention but we can only have a 3 inch blade (max) folding knife that doesn't lock. But thanks, anyway.
that law has been changed we can not carry any bladed item unless we have a reason IE we are going to work and need the blade for work or we have some other good reason for carrying it if we don't have a good enough reason we can get arrested for carrying a one inch folding blade . That's crazy - you guys need to jump on the law makers and make them see sense.
same here in Italy :/ I fucking hate our laws
your Mum when did this happen!? I haven my heard anything about it?
nope not true, 3 inch or less non locking blade without reason, locking or fixed blade needs a very good reason. if you need proof/ confirmation check the government website. I currently work for south Yorkshire police so I would hope I'm right. www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives

he spelled tactical tacticool for the pen idk if that's wrong or not
Taylor Smelser I
Taylor Smelser maybe cause it's tactic-Cool lmao
I've had that Keychain light on my amazon wish list for a while
Enter me in your contest please. Thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Chris. I was looking for a perfect knife for my wife. This is a good start.
@Prepairedmind101 please pick me for the light giveaway!!! I love your channel... I AM NOT A DOUCHY tacticool dude

My Amazon Wish list is getting ridiculous, thanks to PM101.

Truest statement ever!
I've got that Anker Battery. I carry it in my EDC bag. I love it.
I got it. Next video should be top ten useless popular EDC items.

Nice. Looking to add/upgrade a few carry items now. The wallet being first. Thanx for the info and the opportunity!
I totally skip the intro.
+PRESTO Thats 8 years of bad luck. Worse than breaking a mirror. Go back and watch it quick.
Your not a real prepper then
+DCgeek13 nope, I guess not.

Good list. How do you keep your screws for your clip on a folder from loosening? How often do you need to tighten?
This video just reminded me of one knife I've been meaning to get that keeps slipping my mind--the super edge.
Been carrying a nitecore tube for a while now. Love it.
excellent video, brother! I'm just starting to build my bug out bag & edc on a budget, this video helped me a lot for choosing the right stuff for the right price. thanx a bunch!
Awesome stuff. The night core light would also make for a great back up, be easy to attach to a shoulder strap on a pack.

My favorite edc light as well ! I carry s similar pen by smith & Wesson
The Super Edge is one of my top ten favorite knives. I use it tons, and you're right, it throws amazing sparks. Perfect little fire knife.
Really like your videos and variation of items reviewed. I've been curious about the Tube lights, thanks for the opportunity
+PREPAREDMIND101 Here in the uk, we are only allowed to carry a folding knife under 3 inches without a lock on it, it is illegel to carry any sort off fixed bladed knife or lock knife, what ever the size, so i carry a victornox tinker
Thanks for the info. Always good to know what budget items are tested and trustworthy.
I picked up one of those zippo inserts about 6 months ago and it's been working great. It sure makes my zippo way more usable now.

Thanks for the vid. Have you looked at the Original SOE Gear Low profile EDC belt? Rigid belt with a single hook with loops and velcro for adjustment. I replaced my leather gun belt with SOE's EDC belt. Reasonably priced as far as rigid gun belts go.
Always good to see someone show some budget items
Interesting that the key chain light recharges via USB. I definitely want to research how durable it really is. Thanks for all the info you share.
Very cool products. That little light would get a lot of use with me and my family camping.
Great list that should work for almost anyone. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. I like the econo products as I am putting together my first EDC and car bags for my wife and I. I stopped in to Survival Tactics this past Monday and his wife helped me. That's a great store and I will be back in the future.
Would love to have this as an addition to my EDC collection! :)
Just love that Nitecore... There are three others on their way to be given away as gifts.
Thanks, Chris!
Great video! Keep making these videos with quality items on a budget! I really like to test this little flashlight myself.
I really enjoy your videos! I've been watching your stuff for a year now and trying to build my family and my self a good bug out system! Thank you for everything you do! Love the key chain flashlight too!
Cool video brother! My schrade pen is a bit aggressive for pocket carry. Switched to a regular fisher space pen and I'm loving it so far
nice to do some low budget stuff that is still good quality my last keychain light broke off leaving me with the end that hangs on the chain itself
So glad to see the Esee Zancudo on the list. Definitely one of m favorite folders and probably the most quality knife I've ever bought for the money!
I always EDC a multi-tool of some kind and I (and everyone else) use it constantly. I also EDC a med kit (which everybody also uses) carried in a small fishing lure bag. Most of the stuff in it could be bought for less than $30, which is good since it gets emptied out fairly regularly. Thanks for the vid. There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the blackhawk cqb riggers belt. No one seems to be able to figure out what size to buy. Lol.
Absolutely love my Ares Gear Aegis Belt. Low profile, goes with everything and is built extremely well.
been watching for a few years man. get most of my ideas from your channel. thanks man!

Great info .I really like the lighter and top 10s are a great idea.
Great ideas and items for EDC I also like how Chris keeps it simple and affordable for all his viewers! Nice job
You're right about that wallet man I've had mine for close to a year now and it's phenomenal. I actually did the little razor blade trick with it that you did in your video. What do you think of the CRKT Civet neck knives? The drop point or the bowie?

Hi Chris, Thanks for another informative video on affordable EDC gear. Looking forward to the next one!
Unfortunately in the UK we wouldn't be able to have that knife for EDC due to it being fixed! :) The police wouldn't actually be bothered about it (or many other knives) unless you were flashing it about and trying to look hard.
We can only EDC up to 3in non locking folders.
It is a shame our laws on boys toys are so strict.
I've EDC that same Kershaw-Emerson knife for over a year now & still love it. The wave feature is sweet!
I bought a nitecore tube because of this vid chris. I have it attached to my swiss army knife. Goes great together.
An enjoyable video! Regarding the riggers belt introduced; not sure that I like the belt's use of valcro. Does it hold up?
seems like an amazing little flashlight, would love to win!
very nice, been looking for good durable flashlights and knives that are affordable
Great video! These are great little keychain lights. I just wish they didn't cut on in my pocket so often.
Great video and yeah this top 10s are one of my favorite types of videos. Thanks and God bless.
Great vid! Sadly we can't carry those knives here in the U.K, a none locking folder with a blade under 3 inches is about it, unless you have a good reason for carrying something fixed
I was looking at the tube. I'm carrying the quark mini 123 right now on my keychain and it's a bit bigger than I'd like.
Nice video. Budget gear is very useful. Knowing what's not junk is priceless.
The tube looks cool. Thanks for the great vids and your generosity.
Great edc gear! I like the TUBE flashlight. Reminds me of the Rayovac keychain flashlight, but much better. Also, what do you think of the Ganzo knives as an edc option? Like the 727 or 729.
These are some great suggestions, I like that the items that you showed were not in one category, but in a bunch of different items that a prepper would need. Awesome!
Unfortunately we cannot EDC the Cold Steel knife as it's a fixed blade. We can own them though, and even carry them IF we have a good reason to do so. Such as work usage, and for sport and hobby ( such as Camping, Buscraft etc ) usage. We can carry almost any knife if these criteria are met.
Just got into really seeing the now obvious benefits of various types and levels of preparedness and am looking for good advice and, of course, budgeting is a given. Thanks for these vids.
Hi,I am afraid that you are quite correct about us over here in the UK! We are not allowed to have anything that would enable us to defend ourselves. The Knife you mentioned is a case in point. Chris,
Thanks for he video. I just recently found your channel and am really enjoying all the great content.
A Very good list, with good explanation of each item. Thanks Chris.
I really appreciate your time and effort into the video's I learned so much from you and thank you can't wait to see more of your video's
I like that the keychain light is usb
You should check out the $24 belt that Cabelas sells looks the same just not climbing rated
Ive been stuck on streamlights for a few years now might have to try that new thrunight one out
As usual, I appreciate your candor, and the fact you continue to think of those of us who have a smaller budget. Thank you for this list, and the video. I sure wouldn't mind adding that Nitecore light to my EDC.
Great ideas for the budget. Thanks, keep them coming.
Thanks for the Cold steel knife, but we can only EDC 3 inch slipjoints in the UK.
Long time fan, first time commenting, awesome list and keep them coming.
I wanted to get one of those Nitecore Tubes for quite a while now, very cool of you to give one away!
Blackhawk riggers belts are my favorite, they work super well for holding up the weight of a Leatherman and a large fixed blade without letting your pants feel like they're dragging off your body. great product.
That Tube light is about the same size as the BrightStrke keychain light I got when I ordered my AAA EPLI penlight ...if you ever get the chance to review some of their products I think you'll be impressed --
Got that nitecore for my elderly father at Christmas. He LOVES it. It works.
great job on the video love the EDC video's they have given me some great ideas keep up the good work
Good list... top tens... gotta start thinking about that. thanks!
