I have 2004 Prius still in use 2024, 20 years old. Touchscreen was replaced, cost about $120 with work, got the part from ebay for $80. Dealership would ask something like $1000+ for it, don't go for that. Hybrid battery was replaced when the car was 16 years old and had about 160 000 miles. Dealership refurbished would have been over $2500, i replaced it with 2013 Prius battery, $1150 with work, battery itself was $950 and got two year warranty for it. Funnily enough the $2000+ dealership refurbished battery only gives you 6 months warranty. Technically the vehicles is still 100%, it's my daily driver. Still get the same mileage. If your mileage starts to get lower, the reason can be 12V battery. I had 12V battery in bad condition and replacing it brought mileage back to normal, i guess the car had to use energy all the time to charge the 12V battery causing more fuel to be spent. Note, i have maintained the car very well with annual oil changes and maintenance program, so i'm pretty sure that has kept the car in good running order.
I have 2007 Prius and I really enjoy the ride. It’s easy to drive but it’s trunk latch and replacement parts could be better designed. I’m not sure that the mileage is that great either. Apparently the tires are reducing mileage. I have winter tires which cancel the sensor so I’m constantly checking tire pressure. I backroad and love the anti skid. People comment about how did I get in here. ( past some pretty raunchy BC back roads) I just laugh. I’d definitely like a lift kit lol Anyway I try to squeeze as much use out of the electric motor as possible but I need the power rush of quick starts. I might try a plug in hybrid so I can switch off the gas at will.
I have an 09 Prius Now a red light is flashing at the bottom of a list on tne panel. A key is in the flashing. It only flashes when the car is off. Not when I am driving. . I had a new battery put into the smart key. It did not correct the problem.
Anyone ever have problems filling up? My 2007 doesn't want to top off. Pump constantly shuts off as if the tank was full. Takes forever to gas up. Sometime the cars gas intake burps up about 12 oz of gas even though the tank gauge reads half full.

Do you have an RFID key? Is it activated in RFID mode(keyless entry).. if so...that's normal
Tha red key light means....that the alarm works
