Dublin people drop Ts like boston people drop Rs . Water you wont hear a T. Unless the T is at the start or end .
I know - Dublin can vary how the London accent varies (Standard, Cockney, Eastend). Thanks so much for that trick about the T's. This video series is designed for actors in a hurry preparing for auditions, so any additional tools they can use are much appreciated.
One thing I would warn actors about, though, in terms of dropping the T's is to keep in mind audience comprehension. Your example of "attic" being pronounced "a-ick" could prove tricky for certain audiences.
@@SpeaktheSpeechAccentsforActors yes i can understand that . Water is another wa er you wont hear that T in the middle . Great way for actors to learn . Local movies are good . For dublin " working class " between the canals is a great example . Damien dempsey and the dubliners music too .
@@cheiftain732 I LOVE The Dubliners :) - "Poor Old Dicey Riley" never fails to make me tap my foot, clap and grin from ear to ear. Another good/fun tool for watchers to utilize.
thank you
