A basic infrastructure job, yet the guy takes pride working in his "office" turning out soon to be buried pieces of art that so few in our society will ever see or appreciate but many will benefit from for years and years to come. Thanks for taking pride in your work and sharing your craft. I liked seeing the left hand action. Inspiration to practice more of that.
Hey Mr. flex good job I keep following thank you for your time bro let’s keep it up at the gym we’re looking good No lie I am going back into it myself got to go back to the gym I’m recovering from an injury 👍🏼👍🏼up💯
Great Job. looking from the outside.(I don't know if the inside welding result is a priority.) I bought a venor(130mig basic machine.) . Same results on the positive 42 on theirs more to to it?
So, where the rubber meets the road, what do you actually make in a year doing this job and what are your liabilities? You seem to have a pretty expensive truck with expensive upgrades, what does that cost? How long do you get out of a truck like that, how long does a welder last and what does it cost to replace?
if i’m wanting to start learning how to weld and do it as a job what is the best way, whether it’s going to a trade school or learning on my own for a bit any advice?
Don’t waste money on a school. Buy a stick welder and watch UA-cam. Second thing, find a job that’s willing to let you become a helper and watch from there on out. After sometime they should let you start welding for them. Paid to learn
I have a few thousand, which is enough to get through foundations. Theres grants for trade school, but I'm in canada, so my situation might be different.
6010 is a fast freeze rod. Different folks use different techniques. For example many pipe line welders like to have a key hole open as there welding. Whipping in and out. One great welder Bob Moffet shows an example of his uphill 6010 he uses a drag technique similar to a 7018. It’s all depends on what your comfortable with
@@Luisloya.12 Looking at your welds they wouldn't even pass a visual much less ASME code nIne.The young welders that pass that 2 inch 6G ,344 wall test are making 55 dollars/hour davis bacon wages on these military bases. But they have to pass the test first.Unfortunately your instructors dropped the ball.Yea it is good to have a paycheck. Run of the mill pipewelders here in Alaska are making 45/hr.
Talk about sand and dirt I seen one of you fancy shirt wearing ,,, underneath a 36-in the only thing of him sticking out of the mud was his dry hand and his pancake I said that that's why I don't weld pipe
Learning how to weld with both hands is the absolute most useful thing I’ve learned

Where do you find jobs like these? Do you have to bid on them?
This action with the gas main is referred to a relay; almost always and almost only done for sewer or storm
I love these videos. Learn something every time. 😂
How much pressure was on the line when you welded the weld-o-let’s on?
We always used 7018’s when welding them on.
Amigo cuánto tiempo te ausentaste .. aquí tu amigo Mario García

Like the video man 😎
Do they have to X-ray those welds? Or not out in the field?
Doesn't look like they would pass. Especially those bottom welds on the green pipe. But hey , he is out there trying and learning ...
They allow you to use down hill rods on live mains? Everywhere I have worked it’s gonna be low hydrogen on anything live.
That’s what i use to think till i came out with these guys
You lost me with your workout videos, but now that your welding again, you gained my subscription back!
I’ll be posting more workout videos lol don’t sub back if welding is all you want out of me, I have a life outside of welding lol
@@Luisloya.12 looking at the views that your workout videos got, I’m guessing I’m not the only one who feels that way.

Was wondering the same thing?
Do you get paid per job or per hour?

@@nathanholbrook2233 oh nice! I’m going to check them out. Do the plastic ones have to be shaped too? Or are they more of a universal fit
