Here’s some work footage! We are working on being more comfortable filming at work so here is a small tour of what it is like out here! Thank you guys for watching! 🙏 Stay Blessed 🤘🏽
As someone who’s still learning and hasn’t worked in the field yet i like videos like this. It gives me a good idea of what it’s like in the real world. Thanks for the footage man 🙌🏼
@@gabbygonzalez4832 The state I live in has a lot of welding jobs but Washington has gone too crazy and the weather is terrible 10 months out of the year.
Amazing video. This is the stuff I like to watch when I go for welding videos. Love the close ups and the finished product. Please keep up the live welding. Best of luck
Lovin the videos man! It's nice to see real welders removing the slag off of welds with the end of an old rod on the weld toes instead of hammering the hell out of the weld and destroying the face like others do subscribed!
I used to do heavy equipment oiling and I used to work in a construction shop with heavy equipment. Then I worked on cars, now I do hvac. Watching this makes me wanna do this stuff. Im 19 skinny as hell but I am tough as hell and will run circles around people 5 minutes after learning what they’re doing.
Love the field footage, she's doin great cam work and the hot pass shots inside the pipe are awesome, I've never welded big pipe like that I do mostly 4wd stuff and gates but I love watching u do big pipe with stick, takes alot of skill and practice to be able to do that!
Hey brother I appreciate your videos they’re very encouraging. Im 38 making a career change into welding I’m a little discouraged because my age what do you think is it ever too late to start welding.?
Love the videos man. Question for someone just starting out rig welding, and I see alot of dodge rams out there. What is a good reliable truck to start off with, or maybe the most common ones you've seen helpers with? Thanks in advance
Nice nice. I'm looking at a ford f250 super duty 5.4 gasser tomorrow. Starter truck nothing wild. Local rig welding in Orlando fl so I won't need something to heavy duty I think.
Give me a little advice man. I’m a welder just graduated from welding school, passed my first test and everything. But I want to be a pipeline welder. Should I join as a helper also?
Bro this is the first time watching any of your content and you seem like you doin decent. I’m at the 10 minute mark of the video when you’re saying that you boys never have a bad day.. I think I’m working for the wrong company cause everyone around here dreads this place my man, including myself.. This is the only pipeline company I’ve worked for and I only been here for 3 years now, it’s a non-union company located in PA (don’t wanna be specific) but the way they do thing around here just always has everyone fucked off. I started here because I went to school for welding and I wanted to get out of being trapped in a shop, I seen this place was hiring welder helpers so I took the bait. At the interview HR said you’ll only have to work 3 or 4 weekends a year, we supply the rig and the machine along with consumables, everyone gets along well and pto is flexible with your foreman/supervisors.. sounds great right? Ya so I was a helper for 9 months and our welding foreman wanted to see if I was learning anything so he had me practice some welds, after 2 days of practice he seen that I was actually laying out decent beads so he gave my the rest of the week to work on 12” 6g and do 2 branch T’s by Friday. At the end of that week we cut coupons and broke them he said he was going to schedule me a weld test for CNX Wednesday, I had a total of 1 week and 2 days of practice. Essentially he passed me on our company’s in-house API1104 weld test (he is also a CWI) and thought I was ready for a gas company so I went and passed and became a welder. I was pretty happy never thought I’d be a welder that quickly so it kept me here. Now I’m just getting tired of it here because the company I’m at is constantly working 6-7 days a week when we get a job because the communication and organization is so poor here it’s shocking. Example we ran out of pipe and fittings this week and the deadline is April 15, like how the fuck you run outs pipe lol. Some of the temp labor hands that have worked for other pipelines say they have never seen a company operate like ours.. the foreman are constantly blaming the welding crews for being “behind” of schedule so they don’t get no heat, the rigs are all junk they gave us (Ford f-550 not deleted) all of them have the check engine light on. My rig is currently missing the machine cause it’s on a morooka for mainline, my truck has been out of inspection for a month now plus has a break light out and a headlight is also out. We have a company mechanic but he told me he ain’t inspecting it lol. We only get $30 a night per diem but they pay for our rooms. We stay close to PA (only reason I’m still here) mostly working in West Virginia and Ohio. We have 6 welders at our company and 3 helpers lol we don’t have anyone out here to pull measurements for our tie-ins or someone out here figuring out fittings we have to do everything on our own lol we just recently started using a contract bending engineer to make things go smoother, who woulda thought lol but our foreman are so ignorant and have that “we ain’t the ones doing it ain’t our problem” attitude that we have been stovepiping the entire mainline even when we get on a hill at 30 degree grade and our bending engineer just shakes his head because he knows it’s fucked lol on top of that we make a pretty poor hourly wage for the work we do.. I’m ready to quit pipelining
Buen días colegas, les saludo de acá de venezuela. Mi profesión en tus en mecánica industrial pero me desempeño en la soldadura.¿ Que tendría que hacer para aplicar para un empleo aya ?. Gracias
Don’t see to many field vids with this kinda quality I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this thanks bro 🙏🏽

Badass coverage at the fab yard. I’m interested to see what he’s gonna say about being a helper lol.

Save up cash and buy a good 4x4 7.3 powerstroke after you breakout as a welder pocket your cash
Dodge is a rich mans truck they always break down motor has too much power for transmissions

Question When you guys weld up a string do they pull it out and place it to be welded in.

Sir what kind of welding rod you use in vertical position?
Awesome video. Burning that pipe down! 👍
You should see some of the mountains they cross in Southwest Va. and West Va.
One day I hopefully will!
@@Luisloya.12 I hear ya have a good one.
@@Luisloya.12 Hey Luis what about stick vs. Mig on those jobs.
What rod is that you're running downhill
Do you like to fab or mainline better? Awesome video as always bro keep it up
I like fab but theres just something about mainlining that you dont get anywhere else! The fits, the memories and you weld all damn day!
Is it a 6g test you have to take? Or does it depend on the individual company at the time? I'm structural but headed to pipe soon.
Usually a bell and branch.
@@Dale37 ok good deal. Appreciate it.
